Cars is the perfect place for a healthy or an awesome not so healthy meal. Most nights they are open till 3 am so it's the best place for drunken munchies. Been here multiple times since I gave heard about it and every single time it has been great. It's not an expensive meal no matter what you order. You can always go with their really healthy and tasty options or you can do what you know you are going to and order one of their fat sandwiches. You may wake up the next morning going why did I decide to have a foot long super fat sandwich but, you'll remember how good it was and that it was worth every last bite. As someone who has spent many a drunken nights down in the Rutgers Quad, enjoying any of the "FAT" sandwiches, this place killed it. It was delicious. I got the buffalo chicken wrap, and it was perfect. It had the best combination of perfectly crisp chicken fingers, expertly cooked bacon, and ranch dressing. Sadly I had heard this place was better than what I have experienced. Fries were cold, fat sandwich had honey mustard even though I wrote a note about not adding any(online order) and even spoke to the place as they read back my order. Waited 1.5 hour to get my food delivered and the location is only 14 minutes away by car. I understand places can get busy but how many other orders where left to wait and get cold. Getting another delivery driver to keep up with demand would better please costumers. My son and his friend place an online order today at 12:15 It was literally just delivered. It is 2:35 now. I called three times. Once at 1:27 to get an ETA on delivery, I was told that the delivery person will be back in five minutes and would be sent out with our food and that we would be the very first stop. At 1:50 The food still wasn't here so I called back again to inquire about where the delivery person was. I was told he had been sent out "15 minutes ago" and was headed right over. Finally at 2:30 I called back again and asked to speak with the manager. (This was after being on hold for five minutes before even speaking to anyone.) The girl asked me if I had a name. Yes, I'm pretty sure that at birth I was given a name. Finally I am transferred over to Shane the manager who said that we hadn't ordered two hours ago that it was actually only 90 minutes ago which was completely inaccurate. I'm not sure how their system works with online orders but we absolutely 100% placed the order shortly after 12 o'clock because I have a text message from my son saying he had done so with the timestamp of about 12:15. Regardless, I wasn't going to sit there and split hairs with him he obviously had the time incorrect and at this point I just wanted to get the food so we could go on with our day. According to him the food would be here in "2 seconds". It got here 15 minutes after hanging up the phone with him- obviously two seconds wasn't an accurate projection. This is my second nightmare experience ordering from cars... The first one was an ordeal with a delivery person who barely spoke any English and about 10 phone calls back-and-forth for them to figure out where my apartment was... Never before have I had this much of a hard time with anyone finding where I live. The food got here cold that time and it got here cold this time. This place is not cheap... The food is decent when it's hot but even then nothing spectacular. Definitely not worth wasting 2+ hours on a Saturday afternoon waiting around for it. My advice is if you definitely want to get food from this place going to pick it up because their delivery system is a time vampire and their customer service is some of the worst I've encountered. Seems like whoever answers the phone is so used to being yelled at over ridiculous delivery waits that they just give you any excuse to get you off the phone. I wanted to write a good review because so many people go on Yelp to vent about their terrible experiences but I always get the best service with cars. My boyfriend and I often get the munchies late at night and this is one of the few places that's still open 1 and 2 am. The other night we ordered 2 shakes a burger and fries. Delivery took about 45mins to an hour; pretty average time. The food was HOT, and the shakes were cold like they should be. Honestly one of he best shakes I've ever had and the burger was amazing as well. If you're up late like me and get hungry I would definitely recommend to order from cars ! read more

Used to be a favorite of mine but severe drop in quality, portion size, and service has changed that. Not sure if they have had a change in management in the last year but I can definitely attest to a change in quality. Sandwiches are smaller and seemingly thrown together. Orders are consistently wrong and employees are rarely polite. Honestly I'd say about a third of the time, my order is wrong but I generally just eat it anyway as It's not worth driving back and waiting 30 more minutes for them to make me another sandwich. I used to only visit this place because I could get enough food for 2 solid meals for around $10 but this is no longer the case. I picked up a Fat Pete last week and was so surprised when I opened it that I had to grab the tape measure. My 12" sandwich measured in at about 9.5" and was nowhere near "fat". I probably would have gotten more food off of a $5 Footlong from Subway. There was a small sprinkling of steak, 2 chicken tenders haphazardly thrown in, ONE mozzarella stick, and a little bit of bacon. Overall, 4/10 - Probably decent when drunk but couldn't recommend it otherwise. read more
