Love / hate relationship with this place. This is nearby to both Ramapo college and the Ramsey High School down the street - you can count on students being here at any point of the day. It's good comfort comfort with a hefty amount of calories for when you want it. However, I've had some pretty bad stomach reactions to the food. The one that always gets me is the "Fat Hangover," filled with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and other breakfast items. It tastes great, but I always pay for it a few hours later. read more

This was the only place open for food around 1:30am near the hotel my boyfriend and i were staying at & the man at the hotel said the food was really good so we gave it a shot. first, it was pretty packed! I got the sriracha chicken sandwich which is probably the most basic sandwich they offer - it was a little too late for me to try any of the exciting things they offered; my boyfriend obviously felt a little different when he ordered the chicken sandwich on glazed donut roll with fried pickles. we got fries on the side. total was about $15 if i recall correctly. my sandwich was ok, nothing to talk about. he really enjoyed his. i would like to try it again read more

As I type this review, I am sitting in CARS waiting for a friend to finish up eating. I must say, the food was delicious. The Fat Doug was great, my friend loved the Fat Gerald and we both really liked the Mac & Cheese bites. I personally did not experience poor customer service, other than the girls working the cash register being a bit unwelcoming and cold. Truthfully, even with the lack of enthusiasm I did not think the service was as bad as the reviews said. Then, things changed quickly. One of the girls at the counter was having a very loud personal conversation with her friend that did not work there. She was complaining about work and when you can hear her from the seats all the way in the front of the restaurant, it's obnoxious. The phone rang several times and a bunch of people were put on hold even though the cashier was EATING. Things started to get hectic with the phone calls and the other cashier hung up on the person! Then she did it again to another caller! When the loud cashier came back out she said, "Oh f*ck someone's still on hold." Then the cashier who hung up the phone said, "I don't know how that's possible, I ended it." The loud cashier checked who was on hold, saw the caller's name and made of his name. Curses were thrown around all throughout this episode. Also they have their OPEN sign light off hours before they supposedly close! The reason I gave this place 4 stars is because it has SO much potential. This place could really turn things around if the staff is replaced with friendly, upbeat employees. I ordered online through the website and placed the order at around 10:15 & it said it would be ready around 10:30. Ordered the regular breaded chicken sandwich and it was pretty awful. The lettuce was completely rotten and I would compare the chicken to a microwave patty. I also received a text at 10:29 that my order was ready. Wanted to try something new and something very unhealthy for lunch. So I ordered the fat phill and the small order of wings. The food came in less than 30 minutes which was very impressive delivery from Ramsey to Ramsey. First the wings they were really not worth it they were very tiny and tasted like frozen wings didn't really have much to it kind of a waste don't think this place is known for their wings. The sandwich was a complete mush, very busy and dripping with grease or mayo of some sort. The sandwich to taste OK but the problem was it gave me such a stomachache for hours after I ate it. I took the other half home and shared it with a friend and they got a stomachache as well. I would order anything and asked for it to be well done just so I know that it's cooked properly. After reading the reviews on here I had to write my own. I am going to break down my review into 3 parts; Food, Customer Service, and Delivery Time. Food. AMAZING. I've sampled a lot on their menu and I have never something I didn't love. You cannot get such a wide range of food anywhere in the area! Customer Service. My only qualm. The first time I ordered I had a very rude girl taking my order. The second time I ordered online. That was a piece of cake. The third time I ordered I had a very pleasant person answer and take my order. Delivery Time. People tend to rip on these guys for their Delivery time, but I have always received the order in a reasonable time. I've had the chance on meeting with one of the owners and he could not have been nicer to me. They are brothers and grew up in Ramsey. The food IS good, no doubt about it, and I'm not one to preach about health (most of my reviews are Chinese take out joints), but I have never had anything that made me feel as bad about eating it as the stuff I ate from here. I get it. It's literally called a fat sandwich. Why am I complaining? I just can't help it. Even though my taste buds were happy, this stuff made me feel sick to my stomach. I can only eat CARS after a long recovery period, and even then, I almost dread it. (Which is probably why I stopped eating here altogether.) In addition, delivery takes way too long. I went pretty late at night which is when thy are the busiest so the wait was a little longer than I had hoped and the young lady at the register really hated being there. I went again early in the day about 2 weeks later and this new girl at the register had AMAZING customer service. I love their banana Nutella milkshake and their macaroni bites are to die for. It took almost 20 minutes for them to make a small fat sandwich and an order of onion rings. The onion rings were done in the first 5 minutes.
