I noticed an ad online for a S2K for sale. Went to their website & filled out a form to come look at the car. I got a call the same day that I could look at the car, so I drove from Hayward to San Jose. The car was dirty & not ready to be shown. I was told the car still needed to be detailed, soft top replaced, air filter system replaced, & to be inspected by their mechanic for repairs. 1st off, it's a waste of my time & gas. 2nd, why's the car posted online if the car isn't ready to be sold & driven off the same day? Hector said that there were others who're interested in the car & to give $500 to hold the car. That same week, was called that the car was detailed & ready for a test drive. Took a 2nd trip & the car looked like they went to a self-serve car wash & scratched it to hell with the brush. They also swapped the front tires from expensive Falkens to cheap Nankangs & were mounted incorrectly. Between my 1st & 2nd trip, someone backed the car up & messed up the paint on the rear. They didn't want to fix it. Went for a test drive up & down the street, stopping at a parking lot to examine the engine bay. I got back & told Hector that the TP sensor was seeping oil, a clunk engaging 1st gear, a tire radial pull, & 50% oil life. He promised to have car inspected/repaired. He said if I was really interested in the car, that I'd put $4.5k more to make it $5k to serve as down payment, but no contract was signed. He said the car would be ready in 2 days. 2 days later, I asked Hector if the car was fixed. He said his mechanic left for Santa Cruz & to wait a few more days. Called back a few days later & he said to come by. My 3rd trip, I found out no repairs were made. I was pissed, but stayed calm. Hector had me fill out a borrowed vehicle agreement form & I drove the car home. The next day, I drove the car to my shop & I lifted it. I found frame rust that was cheaply repaired & sprayed over to try to hide it, a rust hole through the bottom of the trunk, torn rear axles, & the clunk was from the driveshaft moving. The rust damage must be because it was from out of state per CarFax. If I didn't lift & inspect the car, I'd be spending a lot to repair the rust & make car payments. This was a fraudulent vehicle sale. They wouldn't even budge from their price for the car. The next day, I called Hector & told him I wanted my money back. He tried to convince me that the frame wouldn't fall out from underneath me years later. My 4th trip, I drove the car back to return it. I mentioned the rust to their GM, his assistant, & another salesman & how the car was out of state per CarFax on their website. (Note: They took down the CarFax after.) They look down not saying shit, knowing they not only lost a sale, but they bought a lemon. They walk toward the end of their lot & the salesman returns trying to convince me that they'd try to sell me a car of the same kind. Nope. They scanned my DL & my card on printer paper & had me sign my name on it. That's not even a formal process. The salesman apologized & said I'd get my money in 48hr. Didn't happen. I tried calling this salesman & got no response. Called Hector for an answer, but their boss who is in charge of my money isn't in, has already left, or has gone to lunch 24/7. Several days passed & I tried calling. No answer. I called their CSR who promised to call me back. No answer. Fuck that. What does everyone who works there do, go out for 8hr lunches? I tell Hector something needs to be done about my refund or I would contact BBB. He gives me Ruby's contact who is in charge of my money who doesn't pick up calls nor answer texts. Couple days later & I'm fed up with waiting so I filed a BBB complaint. Few hours later, I received an email from the BBB that they contacted the dealership & funny enough Ruby responded right after asking for my receipts saying she would forward them to accounting & have it settled the next day. FINALLY, I see the note on my bank account for the refund. Fuck this dealership.

Bought a truck here two weeks ago, walked out with a stack of paperwork I assumed contained a copy of the contract but was just a Carfax and a couple other papers. CarsOnDemand hasn't paid off my trade in and I suspect they're going to try to drag it out past the next payment date (that will result in legal action), and the salesman (JAIME) keeps referring me to the admin (BIANCA) to get a scanned copy of the contract but she's literally refusing to send it through. Next step is I get my attorney involved. On the day of the sale, while I was waiting on Jaime to finish the deal, two greasy looking dudes literally got in a fight in the next room. I got up and asked them if there was a problem and they stopped. REAL TIME UPDATE 10/28 - Bianca just called to say they saw my review (I literally warned them days ago that this review was coming if they didn't provide the documents I requested). She said "management" refuses to scan and email me a copy of the contract and that I need to drive an hour to San Jose to pick up a hard copy. This place is unbelievably bad. So, I still have a truck that I bought but can't drive as I can't prove I own it. I bought this vehicle about two weeks ago. I would caution other buyers against shopping here, if I actually needed this vehicle for work I'd be completely screwed.

Cars on Demand is hands down the best place in San Jose to purchase a reliable vehicle! They make is efficient and easy, which normally buying a car isn't! Definitely ask for Blanca or Joseph they are amazing! This is my second purchase and I couldn't be happier! Jamie is the reason for my return! The building is also very inviting and Covid 19 safe! Don't hesitate to check them out! Professional and friendly!

Great service the whole team went above and beyond expected to get the deal right and finished . even when the car i wanted wasn't just available they made it possible by pushing the process and getting the car ready would recommend first time buyers and 10th time buyers they also have great selection of tasteful cars .

Throughout it all, I appreciated that Jeremy was knowledgeable, no-bs, patient, and responsive. I never had to communicate with the dealer at all, until I showed up at the dealership for my test drive, where the salesman had all the paperwork ready to go. From test drive arrival to leaving the dealer with my new car, it only took 2 hours, which feels pretty efficient. I don't really understand how Jeremy gets paid because he didn't charge me for anything, but I'm so glad I found him.

Both experiences were delightful, stress free (who would associate stress-free when you buy a car?) and quick. No hassle car buying - that should be his business's title. He helped us narrow down the list of cars we were looking at and make a decision that worked for us. He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car! And that's all thanks to Jeremy. Believe me I'm not hyping him up, he is professional, kind and customer centric. Thank you Jeremy!

But, in a market where cars are in high demand, supply is drastically low, and are selling for $10k+ over MSRP... thats as good as it gets. We were referred to Arkady through a friend. Hubby has a long history in retail sales, so the car buying experience has always been... eventful, as everyone knows. But now with 2 toddlers in tow, we weren't able to dedicate the months-long research, wheeling and dealing, and multiple dealership trips all over the Bay Area to get what we wanted. So we decided to give Arkady a try. We told Arkady what we wanted. SPECIFICALLY what we wanted. Down to the T. A brand new Platinum Highlander Hybrid in Pearly White. A special order color, in a very sought after trim level and combination. Arkady looked and found us a few, but we weren't ready yet. So we waited. And the aftermath of COVID was in full affect. The dreaded chip shortage. Dealer lots were empty, cars were being bought up like no other, and the market is now flooded with buyers willing to pay top dollar from a supply pool that would disappear with a sneeze. Unfortunately for us, we just couldn't afford to battle with ballers, so we waited, hoping Arkady could find us a deal. Luckily, Arkady was able to place us an order with the Toyota Factory for our specific car, in our specific trim. We waited a few weeks, putting our trust in Arkady, and we finally got the call. The vehicle had landed and was ready for us. Everything we wanted, as we had requested. Even in this market, he was able to get us below the MSRP, which is absolutely mind blowing. He promised, and delivered in spades. His cost of service is worth its weight in gold. The process was painless. He was prompt with his communication and was always straight forward. On delivery day, we met at his office and spent no more than 15 minutes doing paperwork.... to buy a car... that was tailor made to our specification.... at a deal we were more than happy with... We cannot emphasize at how valuable his services were to us, and our family thanks him greatly. Remember the kids? They didn't even have time to even THINK about throwing a tantrum before they were buckled up in the new car and we were on our way. Arkady runs a no-joke, no-frills, get-it-done business. He saved us a lot of time, stress, and yes, money during the car buying process, and has a customer for life. Thank you, Arkady, for all that you've done!

I accepted the reduced offer based on that explanation. Months later, I was contacted by the person who bought my old Tesla. He found me on LinkedIn to ask some questions about the car. To my surprise, he told me the car was sold to him with the full PPF wrap still on it. I immediately called DGDG to understand what happened. Their response was, "You agreed to the final selling price, so there's nothing we can do now." I spent over 90 minutes trying to reach a manager. Everyone I spoke with said, "I'm not responsible; I'll connect you to the manager," and then the line got disconnected. When I tried to call back, I received no response. When I finally got connected with a manager, she said, "The buyer wanted to have the PPF, so we didn't unwrap it." And while I was still talking to her, the phone got disconnected again. I called back, but no one answered. This was a clear case of deception. They reduced the price claiming they had to remove the wrap, then sold the car as-is with the wrap still on, profiting from my loss. Avoid doing business with this DGDG. If they ask to reduce your car's value for any reason, demand clear documentation that explains the breakdown of the final offer and the reasons behind any deductions. Do not rely on verbal explanations. I regret trusting them.

For three straight days, I called the dealership over 15 times. I called the main service number and even tried calling several service advisors directly. I couldn't get through to a single service advisor. Every time I spoke with the front desk, I was told my information would be passed along and that someone would call me back. That never happened. After getting nowhere, I finally had to take time out of my own day and drive to the dealership just to talk to someone face-to-face. That's when I met Devin. I do appreciate him taking the time to speak with me and getting my vehicle scheduled. During our conversation, Devin explained that their phone system had been having issues. I understand that technical problems happen, but as a customer, that's hard to accept. If the phone system isn't working, there should be another way to make sure customers are taken care of. A dealership shouldn't have customers calling for days, leaving messages, and never getting a callback, especially when their vehicle has left them stranded. This also isn't the first issue I've had after getting my vehicle serviced here. My service history shows I've had multiple concerns over time, and it's gotten to the point where it's difficult to trust the service department. To make things even more frustrating, I was told that if my vehicle needs to stay for diagnosis, I'd have to pay out of pocket for a rental until Hyundai decides whether the repair is covered under warranty. I understand that's their policy, but when your only car suddenly dies without warning, it's hard not to feel like you're being left to deal with everything on your own. I'm not upset because cars break. Things happen. What I'm disappointed in is the lack of communication and customer service. I shouldn't have to make more than 15 phone calls over three days, never receive a callback, and then physically drive to the dealership just to get someone to help me. I genuinely hope Capitol Hyundai improves the way they communicate with customers because no one should have to go through an experience like this. A service department isn't just there to repair cars, it's there to support customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.
