With a place as expensive as this I had high expectations and boy was I let down. I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was not terrible but it wasn't great either. I kept seeing everyone rave about their pink sauce and I don't know why because it was lacking lots of flavor. We asked for extra sauce and didn't even get that. I wanted shrimp and the shrimps are $2 each so you expect maybe jumbo shrimps right? Nope. Not jumbo. The garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread was also meh. Not terrible but not amazing either. Overall I was very disappointed and will most likely not order here again. Again, the food isn't terrible but I would strongly suggest the chef to work on the the recipes and maybe add more fresh ingredients. That may add to the flavor of the food. read more

I've been here just a few times! During COVID, they opened up a patio & it looks really nice! I felt pretty comfortable sitting there with my family. The service was absolutely fantastic. The people who work there are so nice & they did a great job with my big party. I ordered the house Chardonnay. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of it. It's just okay, I prolly won't order it again. I got a cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The pasta was not hot when I got it, it was sort of warm. What I loved about this plate was that I got a pretty good quantity of the ravioli! The meat sauce was good- I was hoping it would have a little more meat in it, like other Italian restaurants. 4 stars for the service & the outdoor patio! I will be back, since I love the staff here. I ordered from this restaurant for the first time. I ordered the Italian sub and the crab cakes. It took them 30 minutes to make both. The Italian sub seemed like it was a bit of a lazy effort. Usually an Italian sub comes with a variety of a few meats, but my sandwich came with only salami which was cut very thick. The salami seemed to be standard grocery store quality. I have complained many times that you can't find good Italian food in L.A. (with a very few exceptions,) and this place won't even come close to changing my mind. My neighbors have said how much they enjoyed it, so I'm assuming they've never been to S.F., N.Y. or Italy. I had a lunch special, figuring that I'd start out simple. It comes with minestrone, which seems to be a canned vegetable soup broth with some carrots, celery and cabbage (no fagioli?) The main course was cheese tortellini with meat sauce (though I couldn't find any meat, I imagine it was there in trace amounts.) The pasta was mushy. I prefer my pasta to be al dente, but it didn't have to be perfect. Anything but mushy. The sauce tasted like Ragu. The garlic bread needed some garlic, and it wasn't Italian bread, it is the cheap hoagie roles that are prevalent in SoCal. Whomever is in charge of the menu and kitchen (I'm guessing Caruso hasn't been around for a few years, if there ever was one) isn't even trying, they are just phoning it in. Food is good Italian. Grub hub menu is wrong so when ordering we were missing items. It's not hard to change menu on grub hub so customers can order accordingly. This place will never hire men for bartending or servers. Let's start with that. They never have a manager to make calls such as I did not like this meal after taking a bite out of it. Well they can only give you store credit, like a retail clothing store. But most of all not a true Italian restaurant. The food has no flavor, pastas are not fresh and their sauces are not home made or out of a can. The last two out of three times we came here we've had awful service. This last time we were sat and ordered a water and asked for a beer list. Our waitress didn't come back until 17 minutes later with the water and then told us they don't have a beer list after we had to ask again, which we're unsure why we weren't told that when we first mentioned it. We placed our order because we didn't want to have to wait an additional 20 minutes for someone to check on us. I ordered the gnocchi and it came out cold, then had to wait an additional 10 minutes and have my fiancé flag down a waitress to ask them to warm it up. They brought back the gnocchi and it was still cold, at that point we just wanted to leave. After our last two experiences we won't be coming here again, which is such a shame because we had such a great waitress and service the first time and live right down the street. I have been coming to this place on average 4 to 6 times a month for a few years now. No more. Went there tonight for dinner. After waiting 15 minutes for menus, I finally got up and retrieved them myself. One person ordered a chicken sandwich that came with chicken so thin it was nearly transparent. The tortellini was so mushy and overcooked. Then to top it all off, we had oil and vinegar on the table for our salad and found a bug in the bottom of the bottle AFTER we ate!! Can I give a half star? What a nightmare. We ordered our food online and it said it would be ready between 5:45-6:00. My husband went at 5:45 and they had not even started the order. He sat down to get a beer during the happy hour. He asked for a large modelo. The bartender didn't think to tell my husband that draft was not on happy hour. He waited 25 minutes for our order. As he was waiting he saw people "working" taking selfies in the kitchen. When he finally got up to leave he closed out his tab to find that his large draft modelo was $15. Apparently only bottled beer is available for happy hour. Annoyed that he had to wait so long and then charged a Dodger Stadium priced beer he left but paid the bill. When he got home we discovered that our order was missing a cold turkey sandwich and side salad. He returned and the first lady apologized and said they would get it. He waited another 15 minutes and when he finally asked about it a waitress told him to "look around, see how busy we are." I'm sorry...are we not paying customers who tipped for pick up food?! The online menu is inaccurate. It states that you get a side of pasta or veggies with Specialty dinners and poultry dinners. When we arrived to pick up the order, they told us that we didn't get any sides. This is false advertising. Also, the cannelloni was overwhelming with spices and hard, and the gnocchi wasn't cooked all the way through. Lastly, they do not acknowledge you when you walk in the door.
