Stopped here for lunch and had their green chile soup, it was very similar to green chile stew from New Mexico. It's served w tortilla chips but I asked for a tortilla instead. It was delicious! Perfect place for an evening on the patio. I order the Paloma that was hands down the best I've ever had! After searching through many reviews, a lot of them didn't mention exactly what they had so I opted to make my own burger. Beef with garlic aïoli, Swiss and sautéed mushrooms and it was delicious! This was amazing! We got seated right before the rush. The waiters seemed to have a lot of tables, but it wasn't too bad. They make their own root beer and ginger beer. The root beer was good, but not anything remarkable. The ginger beer on the other hand was SO good. It was packed with ginger, I loved it! The food was so wonderful all around. I had the Green Chili soup and a house salad. The pork in the soup was so tender, and the soup spicy and delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing, lemon vinaigrette, was tasty. My mom loved her gazpacho, it was spicy but good. My dad raved about his Ruben. Menu looked really interesting so I was excited to try lots of items. I'll be honest, most of it was just ok. The poutine was not at all authentic. The gravy was very good but I would have liked more. The "curds" seemed to be mozzarella maybe?, and completely melted into flat little patties, and *way* too much of it. The "fries" were these giant pieces of quartered potatoes, so the gravy could not possibly soak into them like it's supposed to. The "prickly pear" sour did not taste anything like a prickly pear, it was ok. The pumpkin soup was heavily creamed. Only discernable flavor was fat, way too rich. The beans that came with the tacos, however were excellent, as was the pork stew. Service was good, liked the pub interior. Came with large group, everyone was underwhelmed by food. My sister's "monte Cristo" was just a toasted ham sandwich with jelly, she was upset. read more

Our friends recommend this restaurant/brewery which did not disappoint. They had a nice variety of drink options including beers, cocktails and wine etc. I had the mancos rose mule which was delicious and for non alcohol drinks they had a few options as well. For our main meal my bf and I decided to split our dinner so we shared the mountain mac and the tatanka burger with the sidewinder fries. Food was flavorful, and the service was perfect my only complaints are parking can be challenging if you go during a busy time and the prices are a bit on the high side. I would visit again and hope to try more items from the menu. read more

Stopped by here for dinner after a long day of snowboarding. Was able to get a table very quickly. Ordered a flight of beer to share and start. For dinner I ordered the angel wings, flavor and spice was great, but was very very spicy. It was almost unbearable to eat, i had only about 3 wings, before i had to quit due to the heat. My boyfriend ordered the Mac n Cheese and added bacon and green chili. Dish had very little flavor and bacon added to the pasta. For price and taste, will not come back. read more

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Mhusband and I both ate off the soup menu. His was the Salmon Chowder which he said was excellent. I got the pork green chili. It was very spicy and actually gave me a pretty bad stomach ache after eating it. I usually can tolerate spicy food, but this did not sit well with me. The service was ok. Our server spoke very quickly and didn't make much conversation, but when I told her how spicy the food was she did suggest a side of sour cream to neutralize the chili. That did seem to help. My biggest complaint with the ambiance was that the background music was too loud and really unnecessary. There was plenty of conversation going on that the extra sound was just annoying. I will try this restaurant again, but my first impression was not that amazing. read more

Mixed reviews. Wait staff were great. I stopped to have a quick snack/lunch. I loved sitting outside! Great location on Main Ave. I ordered the Southwest nachos. I am VERY picky about my nachos. The waitress recommended them because she likes the homemade cheese sauce. I will admit, the cheese sauce was great, but it was only on the top and many chips underneath didn't have any. Carver Brewing is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Durango. As a vegetarian I am so thankful that they have great veggie options for me! I've have the Impossible Meatloaf twice and it's delicious. Their menu has plenty of choices for everyone, and everything we've tried has been amazing. They also have lots of drink options and brew their own beer. They have seasonal menus as well! I just tried their Brown Sugar Pear Cobbler as part of Oktober Fest menu and it was sooo good. They have plenty of seating and a beautiful outdoor patio area in the back. I love sitting out there when the weather is warm. Staff has always been friendly and the service has been quick. Our wings were burnt and lacked sauce, the loaded fries are far from "loaded", burgers were asked to be well done and were cooked medium rare. Came here for their free beer after completing the Colorado trail. Their beer is delicious and the food is delicious too they had like bison burgers and normal burgers and all are delicious. There is sitting outside near the road in the back and inside of the bar and at tables. The bartender was amazing to talk to she was nice and friendly. there is another brewery in town that we went to, first, only to be turned away. They were closed because of 'staffing problems'. I'm sorry, I'm tired of hearing that sh*t. Anyway, thankfully that led us to Carver, and the Tatanka bison burger with hatch chiles. It was the best burger I have had, anywhere, in a long time. My wife had the blue cheese burger and she also enjoyed hers very much. The back patio is the choice seating, and I regret that we didn't have time to return, at least on this trip. This is an amazing spot with plenty of room for a group of any size. We ordered the Beer cheddar broccoli cup as a starter to share, a good classic. I ordered the four corner steak sandwich, this was one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had, marinated in some au jus. Score hand I'm sure, it was so flavorful and perfect I would get another one on this three day trip while we're in town. The Chicken entree was amazing as well. No wait in the middle of the day and perfect food, try that steak sandwich if it's even remotely in your wheel house. No regrets!! read more

Terrible service, terrible manager, terrible colder than salad French fries. Ordered a root beer float, beware there aren't any refills on the rootbeer. The waitress responded about the cold fries "they're made fresh daily, this morning"... So only 5 hours old, baked and not fried, and again, super cold. Sub par food, far below par service/accommodation. If you're going for the beer alone, there's much better close by. read more

Service and ambiance was good. The main courses we had were bland. There was some flavor but it lacked a lot and it wasn't salty enough for us. Only thing salty and delish were their fries which are big chunks of fried tatoes. We had tomato soup in a bread bowl and it was basically flavorless and unsalted marinara in a bland chewy bowl of bread. The Mediterranean burger was disappointing and so was the stroganoff. Another server realized the mistake and brought the right one in the meantime. What broke my heart was when she then took the wrong burger and tossed it in the trash. Absolutely hated seeing that go to waste. I tried the hummus. Good, but I prefer a classic garlic to their red pepper. Hubs had a beer flight & really liked 2/4. He really enjoyed the pork Chile soup. Burgers were great. Fries were good. Kid's pasta was fine (no sides or anything, served on a frisbee). For dessert, a root beer float, lemon berry parfait (not bad) and strawberry rhubarb hand-pie. Great crust & flavor, but needed a bit more filling. Overall a good meal! Moved to a booth that was a bit warm temperature wise but very cool looking with the copper top. Husband got the burger but was a bit disappointed it had raw onions, but he picked them off and ate every last bite! I ordered the enchiladas and they were a tad spicier than expected, but extra crema and a beer helped! Our server was friendly, food was yummy and beers tasted great!
