Package A. Dragoon + 5 rolls of choice from a select menu. Nice deal. Ordered one day to go. Was more than enough for 5 people

Casa Asia was a nice find in the Whitestone Queens area. First tried the restaurant by buying a mixed roll platter to go, which was nicely packaged, fresh and well-received by the 6 friends it fed. I returned 3 weeks later with family and we had dinner onsite. The place was clean, cozy and has a sushi station in the back. They have a robust menu, booth seating and a few tables for patrons to sit. The place has a busy energy which seems run by seasoned workers. The service was good, bit not very warm (which was OK, I guess for the experience and behind the scenes bustle). The waitstaff were all business, they kept a straight face and kept things moving. Our waitress didn't skip a beat, she kept it professional and provided good service. The place wasn't packed, but the phones didnt stop ringing with delivery and pickup orders. The highlight of the experience was the food. Our meal for 5 people was delicious, tasted fresh and was well prepared. Well go again. Recommend.

One of my favorite sushi places in the Whitestone area. My mother in law loves this place and we go here every time we visit. There's always street parking infront or across the st. Our favorite dishes to order are the pineapple fried rice, specialty rolls, shrimp tempura and Kani salad. The food is always good, I like that the sushi itself is fresh, service is pretty quick -- it gets packed during lunch because they have a special & on weekends so don't be alarmed if there is a wait. It is worth it!!

Purchased: Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento Box & Pineapple Fried Rice Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento - seaweed salad was delicious. You can take the sesame seed and oil. The shrimp shumai was perfectly wrapped and filled with shrimp melting in mouth. The tempura was perfectly fried to and not over done. The 6 pieces of California roll was standard and good. I wish there were something to eat the rice with. I think the white rice for the tempura dishes should be replaced with fried rice. Pineapple Fried Rice - delicious and even included red onions. It did not come in a pineapple but it's still . The sodas were $1.50 - $2 each for 16 oz. That's a good price. Desserts kitchen close at 9:30pm. We did not get to eat any. Order desserts before 9:30pm. The restaurant closes at 11pm.

Great spot for sushi! The platter we got included two rolls and sashimi. (My mom asked for no sushi). The sashimi was super fresh and they were huge pieces! The river roll was REALLY GOOD! I've never had fried kani like that and wow, so good. Not sure if it's worth $16, but glad it was yummy! They gave us a free treasure roll because our order as over $80 total. This was okay. The food here was not good- calamari was super soggy. Would not get it again. Boneless spareribs were hard and not good. The chicken bento box was okay, looked a little sad! I'd stick to the sushi here

Our new favorite sushi spot thus far!! Was greeted and seated right away. We order a bunch of different sushi. Let me tell you, very tasty and delicious. There's not much for me to say, just get there. My favorite was sex on the beach. Normally I don't eat rAw sushi, but I did at casa Asia. Let Me tell you. The fish was so fresh. They made it with a whole lotta love!!.

Chicken Lettuce Wrap

Always delicious! My kids love it because they offer sushi and Chinese food. Service is always amazing and the staff is so kind to our kids. We usually do take out but when we have time and in the mood for Asian cuisine, we will dine in. Their restaurant is always clean and there's plenty of room for our big family. Our go to meals are the sesame chicken, garlic chicken, pork fried rice, various maki rolls, and chicken lettuce wraps. Their egg rolls and soups are great too! I didn't give them a full 5 stars because I feel their flavors are lacking a bit when compared to other similar restaurants.

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

The waitstaff was very friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. We started with the oysters, and the condiments served with them were different from the usual ones you typically get. They were absolutely amazing and added a unique touch. For the main dishes, we ordered the chicken pineapple fried rice and the fried pork belly appetizer. Everything was solid, especially the cocktails, which were refreshing and well-made. We ended the meal with the roti dessert, which was definitely unique and a great way to finish the meal. You do have to go inside to use the restroom, which gives you a chance to appreciate the beautiful modern decor. Overall, When in Bangkok is easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants of all time, and I would definitely come back.

BKNY Thai Restaurant…read more This spot was such a great find! First off... they have parking, which is already a win. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and has an upscale vibe without feeling stuffy. The service was excellent--everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Now let's talk about the food... Drinks: * Lychee Sangria * Lychee Martini * Thai Iced Tea Every single one was delicious, and the cocktails definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol. We started with the spicy papaya salad, and I loved the bold, tangy flavors. It had just the right amount of heat. My friend ordered the Pad Thai, and I went with the Crab Fried Rice. It was packed with real crab meat, the portion was generous, and every bite was flavorful. Dessert was the perfect ending: fried ice cream and mango mousse cake--both absolutely delicious. Overall, BKNY Thai delivered on the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. This is definitely a place I'd come back to!

Possibly my new pho place…read more You're not coming here for a "vibe." It's a small place with around six tables and three staff members (two in the kitchen and one taking orders, serving, bussing, and cleaning). Not the most glamorous vision of a restaurant, right? But the food is tasty! We had the summer rolls, peppered calamari, the signature pho, and the beef short-rib pho. The summer rolls and calamari were good, you could taste the freshness of the veggies and shrimp. I wish the calamari had been a bit crispier and seasoned with a touch more salt and pepper, but it was still very good. The real reason I'll be coming back is the pho broth. Some people might describe it as slightly sweet, but to me, it had a rich, balanced flavor. I'm not sure if the short rib is available all the time (it does have a lot of fat, as beef short rib often does), but it was flavorful. Definitely coming back to try more.

It felt like a kind of seat yourself at whatever table is empty given that the waitress (who was manning the register and taking dine in and phone orders) was quite busy. We ordered the chicken satay, chow kueh teow kway teoh and fried pearl noodles. For dine in, they also gave a kettle of tea and tea cups. There was a chef in charge of all the grilled dishes by the entrance so our chicken satay came out first. The seasoning they used on it had just the right amount of curry flavor and it was super tender too. The most tender chicken skewer I've ever had. It came with a side of peanut dipping sauce which added a nutty flavor to the chicken satay. Next came the chow keuh teow dish and we could smell the wok hei right away. This was definitely one of the favorites of the table and a must try! The star of the dish was actually the smoky wok hei flavor of the rice noodles (there were pieces of small shrimp, chicken and pork as well). The portion size of one dish is more than enough for 2 people to share. The last dish to come out were the fried pearl river noodles. They added some char siu to the noodles which added a nice flavor to the dish. It didn't have quite as strong of a wok hei flavor as the other dish but still pretty good! The pearl river noodles had the same texture as eating the tapioca balls in bubble tea. The space inside the restaurant is pretty small and any seat is fine (maybe except the one right by the door since it can get cold during winter time and the one by the register which is also next to the bathroom). I think they accept card but for these types of small mom and pop shops, it might be best to pay in cash. I'll definitely be back and have to give the bbq skate fish and one of their curry dishes a try next time!

Disappointing food quality and dismissive service Took my…read moredaughter here for a treat and left feeling frustrated and honestly a little worried about what we ate. We ordered fried noodles, a noodle soup, and Chinese spinach. The spinach was visibly old, dry, and stale -- completely inedible. The noodle soup had an off taste, as if some ingredients weren't fresh. When I flagged this to the wait staff, I was flat-out ignored. No apology, no offer to replace anything, nothing. To add insult to injury, the spinach -- the dish we couldn't eat -- was priced the same as both noodle dishes combined. That's hard to justify for a vegetable side, let alone a spoiled one. At checkout, staff pressured us to leave an 18% tip, citing their low wages. I understand tipped workers have it tough, but a tip is earned through good food and service -- neither of which we received here. I'm reporting the food quality concern to the NYC Department of Health. I'd encourage others to be cautious, especially if dining with kids.
