Had dinner here with some friends who live in the area and love their sushi. Bf and I skipped the sushi because it was just days after a major storm, so we didn't trust it. However, he ordered chicken Pad Thai and was given shrimp instead--and, to his delight, the shrimp was firm and tasted fresh. I had the chicken pineapple fried rice which was very good, with a boatload of golden raisins, pineapple chunks, and peas. We started with Crab Rangoon (served with duck sauce instead of sweet & sour) and finished with the orange and mango sorbets, served in the hollowed out fruit skins. Service was slow even though the place was empty. To be fair, it was late in the evening so our server and busboy could have been cleaning up in preparation for closing. The prices were on par with most sushi joints in Queens. With 2 apps, 4 non-alcoholic drinks, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts, the bill came to $85 including tax. I cannot imagine myself craving Casa Asia (spelled Casa Asian on the store front), but if I was in the neighborhood again, I would go back and try the sushi. read more

I ordered the 5 piece sushi appetizer and the sushi looked pre-made. The rice was a little wet on a couple of the pieces. Next I ordered the general tso chicken combo with pork fried rice. The combo came with a little egg roll. The little egg roll was more dough than cabbage and roast pork. The rice had no flavor. The chicken fried coating was gummy and the little sauce at the bottom was bland and tasteless. They must pre make the food. I live in flushing and the restaurant is in college point. The food was here in less than 25 minutes. That is fast. Speed does not make food taste good. read more

Our daughter takes lessons nearby, and we had been amused by the sign proclaiming "Casa Asia" for weeks so we decided to try. We didn't order very exotic things, just some appetizers and run of the mill entrees. The waitperson was pushy (like coming back a minute or two after dropping off bowls of soup that came with our entrees, and pushing my wife's closer to her and saying "soup" because she had taken our daughters phone for a split second to authorize a purchase or something. Not rude, per se, just rushed and pushy. They were not unkind, and actually very accommodating. It's a weird mix of behaviors. I dunno.) Things came out of the kitchen *fast*, which was worrisome because we got bento boxes with rolls and no one behind the sushi bar was making them. They were old and soggy and just icky. My entree included tempura shrimp, which I kind of regret eating. Even our appetizers flew out one after the other and the speed and the texture of the food, coupled with the fact that everything went from surface-of-the-sun hot to cold in seconds, makes me suspect that unless you get sushi rolls you're getting things that are cooked and reheated later in a microwave. I'm willing to bet this is a good spot to get rolls if you sit at the sushi bar or if you get takeout and your expectations are adequately managed. Dining in was not a great experience though so I don't think we'll do it again. read more

This is my go to place when I'm craving for sushi. The quality of the sushi is excellent and the price is unbeatable. I usually order the sushi platter that includes six rolls (which you can pick!) And a dragon roll. The total is around $35 after tax. That's only $5 per roll! The food is always prepared fast and the quality is always consistent. So far I haven't had a bad experience. They were closed for some time in the beginning of the COVID shelter in place order. Now they're open for business and I'm so happy about it. I'm also glad they didn't raise their prices unlike some other places. Highly recommend this place! read more

Skip the dine in experience and just order takeout or pick up. I love this place, I order from here at least once a month. I try to cook every night but when I'm ordering, this place is always at the top of my list. They have great party platters. Great portions, so fresh and so worth the money! Caveat, they only offer this on delivery or pickup orders They've lost a star for 2 reasons. #1 One time, we were short a roll. When I called them about the missing roll, they asked if they can just deliver it next time. We were having a potluck and just could not skip on the roll so we insisted on having it that day. When they delivered our roll, it had teeny tiny pieces of salmon. Usually our rolls are bursting from all the extra salmon. They probably ran out, thought they could get away being a roll short and when we insisted, scraped the bones of the salmon to fill the order. Pretty embarrassing to talk up your local sushi delivery spot and share this experience with your guests. #2 On a separate occasion our driver was dishonest and tried to walk away with $70 in tips. We always tip well, 18% minimum and we're regulars so the drivers are familiar with us. My fiance ordered and paid online but forgot to mention this to me. When I greeted the driver at the door, I asked how much and he told me my total and I gave him $80 for food + tip. The driver looked a bit confused but took my money and ran down the stairs. I commented to my fiance how the driver probably double parked because he took my money and left in a hurry. That's when we realized we paid twice. I ran back downstairs to confront the driver, he pretended like he wasn't sure if I had paid or not. He gave my money back right away and drove off. I haven't seen the same guy in a while but it really left a sour note with us. We still enjoy their food but both occasions were a bit frustrating. It truly pains me to have to give 1 star to this restaurant which serves such a tasty roll (Sex on the Beach) that I've craved and ordered many times. But I have to off the following principle. They ROUND UP your bill! Please always double check your bill to make sure that the line items add up because they basically just round up the change to the nearest .10. I only realized this tactic because I ordered delivery via GrubHub and had the exact cash ready to pay the delivery guy. The receipt the delivery guy brought had the same amount for the food line item and the same total tax as what GrubHub provided, but Casa Asia's receipt had a different grand total! This is my family's go to delivery sushi place! We didn't feel like cooking this year on Christmas and all craving sushi so we called Casa Asia to see if they were open and thankfully they were!! We ordered Party Platter A, B, and D along with an order of chicken pad thai. If you order over $100 you get a free specialty roll so we got the Treasure Roll. With everything we ordered, we were shocked when the lady told us the delivery time would only be 30 minutes. & Surprisingly enough, they actually did come in 30 minutes! The sushi was really good! The quality has always been great, no complaints there. Only complaint is the pad thai is on the sweeter side compared to other places so it probably wouldn't be that good if that was the only dish I was eating but since we were all sharing, it was fine. read more

Review are for delivery only! I always order through Grubhub and I usually get their lunch 3 rolls special with your choice of sushi that comes with either soup or salad. Delivery are mostly on time if not then usually they would be here about 5-10 mins late but it's cool! Rolls - rice are small portion, barely any rice. But the fillings are a lot, really generous. Would recommend sticking to normal rolls for ex like spicy tuna, California roll, etc instead of getting like sweet potato roll or AAC roll because they add weird stuff to it like extra teriyaki sauce which I found it not fitting to the roll at all. Spicy rolls are usually not spicy at all but they usually taste the same when you order spicy tuna, spicy salmon, etc. and it has a little crunchiness to it. 8/10 Pad Thai - got it with shrimps. Portion is so much that you can save it for next day. Pad Thai here is a little sweet compare to other pad Thai but it still work. But honestly, the more I ate the pad Thai I found myself not able to finish it because it is just too sweet, but I'm not saying it is bad either. 7.5/10 Black cod miso - SOOOO GOOOD. Definitely would order again, even typing this is making me crave more lol. The miso sauce that they use to coat was just so delicious but I wish they would have put more of the sauce in the meat part instead of just the outside. Cod was super small, but it's fine since black cod are usually small especially in Japanese restaurant. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews this restaurant received. Ate here a few times with boyfriend. It's definitely a nice place for some nice oriental food. We always have good service and food whenever we go here. Their green curry is delicious, but too hot. My nose runs like crazy whenever I ate their curry (I eat spicy food often, yet I find their curry super hot even after requesting it to be less spicy). The curry has eggplant in it which is cooked nicely (most places I go to tend to overcook their eggplant, but this restaurant cooks it perfectly). Spicy Tuna Roll is spicy, but definitely not as spicy as the curry! Their Fried Banana is very delicious and is something I definitely would love to order again. Their Pad Thai is delicious, but after eating a couple bites of it, I find it just slightly too sweet. I would still order it again though. He knows us all by names and always sends us a little something to the table as a first course. He doesn't just send you anything. He remembers what you frequently order and what you like throws a twist and bam you got a nice little surprise on your way. He really goes the extra step. The whole staff there is very nice and attentive The food is ahmazing. Some of the best sushi around. I use to go to takara for a long time but once casa asia opened it broadened my sushi pallet. Everything is always fresh and there is something there for everyone. If you don't see something that catches your eye, which i doubt. Just speak to jerry I'm sure hell whip something together for you. The la bella and ali baba are my favorites . I can not help but order the ali baba ever damn time. Kani salad is good and so is the yakitori, butterfly salmon and udons. I always go for the sushi but i have had a few entrees which were good. The mochi desserts and fried cheesecake are my favorite . Its a calm modern ambiance with cocktails as well in interested. Overall it is a littttle more on the pricy side then your avg sushi place, but don't let that stop you! The rolls are packeddddd with fresh fish and you defiantly get what you paid for. The Cali rolls can be a little soft but still really great when you dip it in spicy mayo. The delivery is extremely quick, once he made it to my house ten minutes after I ordered. I was impressed. I ordered take out from here the other day and I have to say their delivery time was super quick! They have pretty good lunch specials. Never again! Came here last Saturday with a friend. It was late so we were not expecting much aside from respect. We ordered and our food came relatively fast. Within five minutes of us getting our food they were asking us if we wanted anything more. I didn't notice they were rushing us out until the second time they came and asked us if we were good. I had to ask them to bring the soy sauce back out because they were discreetly cleaning the table the whole time we were there. My friend asked for a sprit and never got it because they were so focused on rushing us out, what was the point of asking if we would like anything more if this was going to be the outcome??? After some time we asked to have our food wrapped to-go because they were so pressed to get us out, as they low key rushed others to leave I'm sure. Before we left my friend said "I bet you our table will be cleaned before we hit the door!" And would you believe it, she was absolutely right!!! We had a good laugh about how pleased they were to get us in so that we could spend our money, but how eager they were to get us out so they can close up. We tipped well for decency, well my friend tipped because if it was up to me they would have gotten in tips what I felt we received in service. My friend and I walked over to the Walgreens across the street to get the beverage she never obtained. Good thing she did because a few moments after she got to her car she was puking up what we barely have time to eat, it did not register well with her stomach and the ginger ale was much needed.
