Package A. Dragoon + 5 rolls of choice from a select menu. Nice deal. Ordered one day to go. Was more than enough for 5 people

Casa Asia was a nice find in the Whitestone Queens area. First tried the restaurant by buying a mixed roll platter to go, which was nicely packaged, fresh and well-received by the 6 friends it fed. I returned 3 weeks later with family and we had dinner onsite. The place was clean, cozy and has a sushi station in the back. They have a robust menu, booth seating and a few tables for patrons to sit. The place has a busy energy which seems run by seasoned workers. The service was good, bit not very warm (which was OK, I guess for the experience and behind the scenes bustle). The waitstaff were all business, they kept a straight face and kept things moving. Our waitress didn't skip a beat, she kept it professional and provided good service. The place wasn't packed, but the phones didnt stop ringing with delivery and pickup orders. The highlight of the experience was the food. Our meal for 5 people was delicious, tasted fresh and was well prepared. Well go again. Recommend.

One of my favorite sushi places in the Whitestone area. My mother in law loves this place and we go here every time we visit. There's always street parking infront or across the st. Our favorite dishes to order are the pineapple fried rice, specialty rolls, shrimp tempura and Kani salad. The food is always good, I like that the sushi itself is fresh, service is pretty quick -- it gets packed during lunch because they have a special & on weekends so don't be alarmed if there is a wait. It is worth it!!

Purchased: Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento Box & Pineapple Fried Rice Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento - seaweed salad was delicious. You can take the sesame seed and oil. The shrimp shumai was perfectly wrapped and filled with shrimp melting in mouth. The tempura was perfectly fried to and not over done. The 6 pieces of California roll was standard and good. I wish there were something to eat the rice with. I think the white rice for the tempura dishes should be replaced with fried rice. Pineapple Fried Rice - delicious and even included red onions. It did not come in a pineapple but it's still . The sodas were $1.50 - $2 each for 16 oz. That's a good price. Desserts kitchen close at 9:30pm. We did not get to eat any. Order desserts before 9:30pm. The restaurant closes at 11pm.

Great spot for sushi! The platter we got included two rolls and sashimi. (My mom asked for no sushi). The sashimi was super fresh and they were huge pieces! The river roll was REALLY GOOD! I've never had fried kani like that and wow, so good. Not sure if it's worth $16, but glad it was yummy! They gave us a free treasure roll because our order as over $80 total. This was okay. The food here was not good- calamari was super soggy. Would not get it again. Boneless spareribs were hard and not good. The chicken bento box was okay, looked a little sad! I'd stick to the sushi here

Our new favorite sushi spot thus far!! Was greeted and seated right away. We order a bunch of different sushi. Let me tell you, very tasty and delicious. There's not much for me to say, just get there. My favorite was sex on the beach. Normally I don't eat rAw sushi, but I did at casa Asia. Let Me tell you. The fish was so fresh. They made it with a whole lotta love!!.

They make the best fried wontons and egg rolls in my opinion. I haven't eaten in but I'm sure they have plenty more tasty meals

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

There are lots of servers so you never feel like you're waiting. The food is delicious and there's a mix of platters and smaller plates so you can try a bit of everything. The fish is so fresh. The tempura got mixed reviews from our party. Some of us loved the thick breading and others weren't a fan. The tempura sauce is amazing. There is an omakase option, which we haven't tried but would like to one day.

The place has lots of seating so there's definitely room for large parties but the tables are tiny. We ordered from an iPad and once ready sent our order to the kitchen. Everything looks delicious on the menu so it's easy to order everything that looks good. Be mindful of food waste cause they do charge you if you don't finish what you ordered. Service was very quick. I don't recall the name of what we ordered anymore since there were so many, but I did manage to take pictures of them. I also had to use the ladies room during this visit and it was pretty clean. I highly recommend this place and one of the best AYCE Japanese food in Flushing.

After the first round, there were just a few items we wanted seconds of. We learned from our first visit so skipped some items like the fried special rolls. Forgot to try a handroll again. I appreciate that the menu indicates the number of pieces for most of the items. So when we asked for 1 calamari for example, we got just 1 piece. Less food wasted. Needs a dessert though, a little something at the end the meal. Staff member said they ran out. On our previous visit, at least got a Haagen Dazs ice cream bar, so disappointed there was nothing this time but lollipops.

It is $165 for a 13 course - it also comes with appetizer and dessert as well. The place is located inside Siam Thai - behind a bookshelf, the vibes are immaculate back there. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. Overall - if you want a more traditional omakase experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. The vibes are immaculate and you will have a good time chatting with the chef while enjoying your food!

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.
