Package A. Dragoon + 5 rolls of choice from a select menu. Nice deal. Ordered one day to go. Was more than enough for 5 people

Casa Asia was a nice find in the Whitestone Queens area. First tried the restaurant by buying a mixed roll platter to go, which was nicely packaged, fresh and well-received by the 6 friends it fed. I returned 3 weeks later with family and we had dinner onsite. The place was clean, cozy and has a sushi station in the back. They have a robust menu, booth seating and a few tables for patrons to sit. The place has a busy energy which seems run by seasoned workers. The service was good, bit not very warm (which was OK, I guess for the experience and behind the scenes bustle). The waitstaff were all business, they kept a straight face and kept things moving. Our waitress didn't skip a beat, she kept it professional and provided good service. The place wasn't packed, but the phones didnt stop ringing with delivery and pickup orders. The highlight of the experience was the food. Our meal for 5 people was delicious, tasted fresh and was well prepared. Well go again. Recommend.

One of my favorite sushi places in the Whitestone area. My mother in law loves this place and we go here every time we visit. There's always street parking infront or across the st. Our favorite dishes to order are the pineapple fried rice, specialty rolls, shrimp tempura and Kani salad. The food is always good, I like that the sushi itself is fresh, service is pretty quick -- it gets packed during lunch because they have a special & on weekends so don't be alarmed if there is a wait. It is worth it!!

Purchased: Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento Box & Pineapple Fried Rice Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner Bento - seaweed salad was delicious. You can take the sesame seed and oil. The shrimp shumai was perfectly wrapped and filled with shrimp melting in mouth. The tempura was perfectly fried to and not over done. The 6 pieces of California roll was standard and good. I wish there were something to eat the rice with. I think the white rice for the tempura dishes should be replaced with fried rice. Pineapple Fried Rice - delicious and even included red onions. It did not come in a pineapple but it's still . The sodas were $1.50 - $2 each for 16 oz. That's a good price. Desserts kitchen close at 9:30pm. We did not get to eat any. Order desserts before 9:30pm. The restaurant closes at 11pm.

Great spot for sushi! The platter we got included two rolls and sashimi. (My mom asked for no sushi). The sashimi was super fresh and they were huge pieces! The river roll was REALLY GOOD! I've never had fried kani like that and wow, so good. Not sure if it's worth $16, but glad it was yummy! They gave us a free treasure roll because our order as over $80 total. This was okay. The food here was not good- calamari was super soggy. Would not get it again. Boneless spareribs were hard and not good. The chicken bento box was okay, looked a little sad! I'd stick to the sushi here

Our new favorite sushi spot thus far!! Was greeted and seated right away. We order a bunch of different sushi. Let me tell you, very tasty and delicious. There's not much for me to say, just get there. My favorite was sex on the beach. Normally I don't eat rAw sushi, but I did at casa Asia. Let Me tell you. The fish was so fresh. They made it with a whole lotta love!!.

They make the best fried wontons and egg rolls in my opinion. I haven't eaten in but I'm sure they have plenty more tasty meals

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

It was national sushi day as well and during graduation season so it was very busy. Also they were doing construction outside. The wonton soup was very good, I enjoyed the little mushrooms in it. The crispy rice sushi, was amazing! I was worried I wouldn't like it but honestly was the best thing I had. And for the sushi rolls, they did mess mine up and give me the wrong ones but they were good otherwise. It was a nice time. They do serve French fries as well for the kids. An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I honestly wasn't expecting much but the service based solely for the Omakase blew me away. The Omakase bar was in the back of the restaurant hidden away. The space was very open and the ambience was chic. This is a great place for date night, mommy night out, or group hangouts as they have private rooms too. Every piece tasted very fresh and were quite unique. The steam silky egg appetizer with crabmeat and fish roe was simple yet delicious. One of the dishes was an uni toro roll that was placed on top of our hands and was sprayed with edible gold glitter on us. That was a surprise and it was cute. And that uni just melts in your mouth. We had this matcha pudding with I think had an Oreo sprinkle in it was fabulous. They also surprised us with an extra dessert cause it was all 3 of our birthdays. Very enjoyable experience. Our sushi chef was very accommodating and made our birthday dinner memorable. We originally started out with the summer special of $78pp for a 12 course meal and decided to upgrade to the 14 course meal for $98pp. There was an option for a 17 course meal for $138pp but we were very full towards the end. They also had this $30 lunch and $60 dinner 3 course meal set for restaurant week. My friend's mom wasn't a fan of raw stuff so she ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto and she wasn't a huge fan of it. The fish was a tad overcooked and the overall presentation of the dish looked more of a Chinese fusion dish. The risotto had that cheesy flavor but the presentation with the Bok Choy and the risotto looked more like fried rice and was confusing. I would stick with the omakase, which this place is known for.
