Don't get bent out of shape with this review and it's three stars. It was my visit and I believe it was just the world being off kilter during our visit. First Wadsworth is a good desert so far as I'm concerned. So we ventured away from our usual spot to try someplace new. The parking lot is always packed when I drive by. What are we missing we asked ourselves? Walked in and the host immediately greeted us and put is in touch with the rest our party. Great. Problem was we had been seated at a giant table in the center of everything. Ugh! So much for a long slow time out with friends. Next the vacuum cleaner starts in over the quiet roar of the other guests. Vacuuming? All around the tables. We all looked at each other horrified. Vacuuming indicates that other patrons are slobs and leave a mess behind. It also picks up all the crud and blasts it into the air to settle over everything. It just has a high ick factor. So time to order drinks. No draft beer! What? Say that again. So much for 64 oz of cold brew Mexican style. Do I need to say more? Oh here come the other guest... and now they are leaving after a quick meal. .... and the vacuuming starts up again. Let's repeat that a few more times. Time to pay. We pushed ourselves up to the register to pay. It's moments like this when fight or flight responses kick in. It was tough but we made it and headed out. Nearly getting hit by a dope racing through the parking lot. Good grief. Someday we will try it again. But it's pretty clear they don't need patronage given everyone else that thinks there the bomb. read more

Passing through town on our road trip, my boyfriend and I were hungry and we decided to stop here because of the 7% cash back on Yelp. Plus, like any normal, sane human being, we love Mexican food. Our server was friendly and quick. He was a very nice guy, but we only ordered one margarita and received 2. I also ordered sour cream on the side of my nachos and they came with a big blob of sour cream ON the nachos. I hate that, because it's all going to melt in 10 seconds. I had to ask for a side of guacamole 3 times. He finally brought it in the middle of my meal. My boyfriend got a chili relleno which he thought was a little rubbery and not done all the way. Our food was decent and the place has a fun atmosphere, but we don't live close by and I wouldn't make a special trip back here. read more

Just went there tonight and it was not the best experience. We have been there a few times and always enjoyed it. Tonight was a different story. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. Based on this experience I will not go back. My flautas had hardly any meat in them I always get them and love them. I will be going to Azteca from now on. Casa Del Rio is off of my list of the few places I enjoy. I am just really upset about the terrible service. I mean our server couldn't refill our water but he sure could hang out with the people at the bar and chat with for a while. read more

I have no complaints..this family joining our community was a great blessing to us..there not only amazing cooks and servers there great friends and help our community raise money for many things and there all just a wonderful group of people and wadsworth is thankful to have them. We stopped by for dinner on a Thursday night. It was packed and we had a difficult time finding a parking spot. They were very good at managing the guests and we only waited about ten minutes. Great service. I had a couple of Modelos and a burrito. Their food is fresh and very flavorful. Their chips and salsa are excellent. Our basket of chips were were warm. Awesome! We need to come here more. Typically we go to Tres Portrillos in Fairlawn, but this place has the same food (maybe better) and less expensive without the song and dance. Big portions, good service, the shredded beef was very good. read more

I was very impressed with this place. 5pm on a Friday night and the parking lot was packed. I wish they had a bigger entryway so it's not super crowded while you wait. There was a ten minute wait and I was sat at a booth by a big window. The restaurant is definitely smaller than most, but the food and service is worth it. Our server was very attentive and quick. Their margaritas are the BEST! They have a drink called "Cha-Cha" (think of an alcoholic horchata). I always order queso and chimichangas and I was surprised that the food was almost as good as La Loma's (favorite Mexican place). They were cooked perfectly and the grilled steak was on point. The salsa was the best I ever had with some spice in it. I thought we would have to wait a half hour or more for our food but it came out within twenty minutes. Excellent classic Americanized Mexican food. Menu is mostly order by number. They usually have a line of people waiting that trails out the door. I recommend takeout. Good mixed drinks. Staff is excellent- when they ran out of birthday cakes - they made dessert nachos. read more

We used to eat here regularly before their fire a few years ago and never had a bad meal. Well we went back yesterday (Oct. 26, 2019) 4PM with great expectations. The food was the only issue. I ordered a giant chicken burro with queso and ranchero sauce extra. The man brought it out wearing oven mitts but the plate was cold and also the food. The sauces were sparse considering as they charged extra for them. My wife's combo wasn't much hotter. I never send food back to the kitchen for fear of it gettin spit on sooo here i am looking for a different mexican. I have to say the service was prompt and efficient. Im sorry, i think maybe the roof collapsed, not a fire..but closed for a long time, sorry for the mix up. I still wasn't happy with the food read more

I've been going to Casa for over five years now (used to live in Wadsworth). Never really been disappointed. My favorite part is the unlimited chips and salsa. The chips are usually fresh and warm, and I'm a sucker for their salsa (usually buy a container of their home-made salsa on the way out). I'm not willing to give that extra star because the food isn't out of this world. It's just your typical "Authentic Mexican" taste (whatever that means) - cheese, beans, and beef with your choice of flour (you get the idea). I'd go for something with the Ranchero sauce. We always get a side order of queso ($3.25). Goes great on everything, and I like to mix it with the salsa. read more

I've lived all over, but I grew up in Wadsworth. This place showed up while I was in high school, and despite that I've lived in several places with large pockets of Mexican culture, Casa del Rio holds up pretty well. It's typical Mexican comfort food--lots of grease, salsa, cheese, and corn tortillas. It's cheap, and it brings on a food coma, but when I'm home visiting my folks, there's nothing I want more than to fill up on Casa Del Rio and beer and take a nap. I did have one disappointing incident here, and that was when I asked for Cholula. I've never been to another Mexican place that didn't have it, and the guy seemed to not understand what I meant, and brought me Chihuahua cheese instead. It wasn't what I asked for, but I like it enough that I accepted it as a viable alternative. I knew it cost extra, but Dad was paying, so I enjoyed it without complaint. read more
