I literally just left the restaurant a minute ago with my to-go order of a Large Queso Compuesto with Chips and its ridiculous. I paid $13ish not including tip for this small little cup of queso and oil. I complained at the front counter regarding the size and oil content, however, the apparent manager who assisted me basically disregarded me all together. Now... I've purchased large orders of queso from several other good restaurants (Ramos, Vivos... to name a couple) and it has never been soo dang small nor has it ever been topped with soo much damn oil!!!! Also, for to-go orders typically you'd seperate the guacamole so your customer can add it chilled to the hot queso as they see fit. Note to self ( and others)... DON'T waste your hard earned money here especially if they could care less about their product. And note to Casa Garcia's Management... Atleast litsen to and acknowledge your customers! There's no reason this should've been served!

Ordered delivery because Chuy's wasn't taking orders. El Favorito - 6/10: Main meal. It was okay. Liked the chicken more than the beef. Mexican rice and refried beans were bland-ish but okay. Kids' quesadillas - 5/10: Just okay. Good enough for the kid. Mac & Cheese - 0/10: Worst mac and cheese ever. Basically boiled pasta with no cheese. Nothing special overall. Didn't hit the Tex-Mex craving, and probably won't try again.

Went for lunch 9/22/25 and it was great as usual. Been here several times for dinner but first time for lunch. This is great Mexican restaurant in town. The atmosphere is festive and food plentiful. They have great chips and salsa. The service was perfect not fast not slow just right.

This is one of my go to's especially for happy hour. The drinks are great. The food is okay as well. I am currently stuck on the chimichanga with beef fajita. The queso is great. They are very accommodating. I notice that they do a great job hosting large events as well. It can get pretty busy on high school football game days because it's close to the stadium. They have all of the games playing the screens at the bar. The patrons and staff all seem very pleasant. You can also order their drinks to go as well!

The bartender who served us was so awesome and made the experience so great! The food was good, and the drinks was great as well. Cute esthetics. Good place for date night or family night. Will be back again!

So me start off by saying DUGGUMIT there tacos "flour tortillas" were fantastic!!! I had two steak fajitas and two chorizo with eggs and wolfs down the steak fajitas before I can take a picture of them !!!! Pancake plate is amazing , they don't skip out on portion size either. Service is great and sweet. They want you l to be comfortable . Place is spacious and clean ,so you feel like you have your privacy and not huddled together by the next table. THE GREEN SALSA IS AMAZING ,it's a slow creeper, opens up your sinuses !!!!

We went to Casa Garcia for lunch around noon with a party of eight, and it was fantastic! There was no wait, and we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. The service was fast and efficient throughout our meal. The chips and salsa were a great start--fresh and flavorful! Be sure to ask for the spicy green salsa. Their lunch menu has a lot of great options, and I highly recommend the stuffed avocado; it was delicious. The restaurant itself is very nice inside spacious, clean, and comfortable. Overall, a great spot for lunch with excellent service and food.

Went there especially for the menudo. We ordered the 20oz and it came with fresh made tortillas!!. Menudo was really good! Got there on lunch time and it go busy quickly. I ordered a single tamal and it wasn't the best I've tried, I'll skip on that one. Definitely coming back for menudo and to try some more stuff! Service was really fast too.

    Ceiling vibe.

Our server couldn't have been more friendly and outgoing. She was swamped (it was prom night with lots of formally clad students dining in) but never broke a sweat, never made us feel rushed or unattended and had a big smile from ear to ear throughout. I can't remember her name but I believe she is one of the owners daughters - and she's a real asset to the restaurant. My husband had a combination platter with all the favorites - enchiladas, taco, and a tamale, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I opted for something that was a little less---well, you know----but when in Rome---don't eat the spinach and mushrooms----get the tacos, savor the enchiladas. They know what they're doing and next visit I will lean into their expertise, enhanced by another Mexican martini. Buen provecho!

Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill is a great, casual spot in Round Rock to grab some Tex Mex classics…read more.. it isn't going to blow your mind but you can fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas, and plenty of rice and beans. It's a little overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot out from of the building with plenty of spots * Happy Hour - couldn't find updated days and hours but they do have HH specials * Lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday SERVICE - We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Monday and they weren't busy at all (although it was Cinco de Mayo and they got busier as the night went on). We were seated right away and had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table immediately (they're very mediocre). Our server, Fatima, made sure we had refills throughout the meal and the food came out quickly. PRICING - The total was $65.45 after tax ($4.99) but before tip for a Burros queso ($10.49), shredded chicken quesadilla ($14.99), Javier's plate ($17.49), and carne asada ($17.49). For basic Tex Mex, it seemed a little overpriced but the portion sizes are good. BURROS QUESO (6/10) - This is a basic chili con queso... it's topped with ground beef, guacamole, and pico but not much. I don't think I'd order this again because it isn't worth it for the price... I'd rather just order a small chili con queso. SHREDDED CHICKEN QUESADILLA (6/10) - It's a pretty standard chicken quesadilla served with shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole. You do get plenty of shredded chicken inside! This is great to split as an appetizer or get as an entree. I'd order this again. JAVIER'S PLATE (6/10) - It's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled skirt steak had a nice flavor but is kinda hard to cut up and eat. You get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'd rather try other things. CARNE ASADA (6/10) - Again, it's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled chicken breast is the same price as the diced skirt steak which doesn't quite make sense to me but you get a decent amount of sautéed onion, tomatoes, serano peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Again, you get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I'd order this again if I want to get in some veggies with my meal. This was my first visit to Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill and I probably won't rush to come back because there are other Tex Mex restaurants nearby that I prefer. It wasn't bad by any means, it just doesn't stand out (especially for the price). But, in a pinch, I'd stop by again if I was nearby and in the mood for Tex Mex.

There ain't nothing more Austin than eating at Torchy's Tacos…read more And that counts even if we are talking Pflugerville. Pfluger Pfolks are just Pfreaky in their own Pfloodle-be-doodle way. * * * I am always happy when I eat at a Torchy's. I usually can't resist eating a Democrat, a Republican or an Independent simply for the obvious X-rated jokes that led to the tacos getting that name. For some reason, those jokes never appealed to me at Voodoo Donuts when they were totally catering to that line of thinking. And yet, even at the age of 71, I still get titillated eating the appropriate taco at Torchy's. I also get complete and total little kid thrills when I order off the secret menu. You know how four year olds or seven year olds just love it when you take them down a "secret" path or you show them a "secret" door? I get that way when I order off the secret menu. Yeah the tacos on that menu are more expensive than the regular tacos more elaborate than the regular tacos and are neither better nor worse than the regular tacos. I still like asking for the menu and feeling like an insider. Even if that means paying $2 more for my taco for the thrill. * * * I went with nachos this time ... Because they were running a nacho special ... And because nachos are one of my favorite comfort foods. Bad nachos are only fair rather than bad - because they are nachos. (Unless of course, there is a health department issue and you are scraping mold off of one of the chunks.) Good nachos are excellent - because they are nachos. So me loving the nachos at Torchy's Tacos doesn't say anything about whether they are good or bad nachos. I am the Nachos Mr. Rogers. "Nachos - I like you just the way you are." * * * I will say however that the Pfulgerville Torchy's is like a lot of the newer out-of-Central-Austin Torchy's. It is bigger, better decorated and bar-prominent. The College Station's Torchy's is much the same way. The Torchy's we know and love in Austin were placed in holes-in-the-wall because that was all that Torchy's could afford at the time. The miniscule quirky locations gave Torchy's a Keep-Austin-Weird kind of charm. While I love that charm, I also love big and beautiful. And if that had been a drinking day, I would have loved that bar. They don't do the premium whiskey bottles I look for in a bar. But who is drinking $35 Japanese whiskey in a taco stand? (Or rather who is drinking $35 Japanese whiskey in a taco stand That is NOT on East Fifth Street under a new Yuppie apartment complex?) At Torchy's you get a margarita or maybe a tequila shot or maybe a Mexican martini, and you are done with it. If you are drinking beer, you are doing lager. * * * So Torchy's rings the right bells for me, And that includes the Torchy's in Pflugerville. And if the Republicans were eating Democrats, And the Democrats were eating Republicans, We would all get along just a whole lot better. America would be a happier place.

I got the verde chicken enchiladas, which were clearly fresh and delicious. Husband got the 512 crispy pork enchiladas and loved them. We were too full to indulge in dessert but know we'll be back again! I could tell this food was high quality and clearly gluten free as sometimes when I eat out I still get stomach pains but here I felt great, even with being stuffed to the max. Highly recommend!

Saw a Reddit post about this restaurant, so we decided to try it since it's close to our home…read more I was craving a chicken fried steak. Their menu offers a Ribeye fried steak with gravy. Thinking this was actually going to be a ribeye steak, that's what I ordered. The breading was good, not overly heavy, the gravy was tasty, although very peppery... so far so good right? If this was a ribeye, this was the thinnest, most gristley ribeye in the history of the world. I had to spit out almost half of it because it was full of tough, fatty chunks of gristle!! Very disappointed in this and would never order it again from here! The mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes, but still on par. The steamed vegetables were boring, and plain, but still edible. On the other hand, my dining partner's pork chop was impressive and he ate every bite. He said he would be back again for the pork chop! He liked the demi-glaze, as well as the well seasoned mushrooms on top. The people we encountered were very nice and friendly. We were hoping to find a new restaurant close to home, but it didn't hit the mark with the paper, thin, gristly CFS. Very disappointed.
