Stopped here last night on a road trip. Little parking lot in the back. We ordered two burritos to go and a plain taco. The lady that took our order was super friendly. She made it really easy to customize our orders. Asked if we wanted water while we waited. Burritos were huge and really inexpensive. Tortilla was well toasted, ingredients tasted fresh. My friend took me here today first time. They put corn, peas and lima beans in their rice ... A huge pet peeve of mine. Tortillas are not fresh. Decent red salsa for chips and they say they don't use lard in their beans, although it looked pretty pasty so I'm not sure if that's true. Found this place on Yelp and it was walking distance from where we were staying. That was a bonus since we didn't have a car. I ordered lupitas special. beef taco, enchilada, and a chile relleno. I was intrigued with all the positive reviews, so my guy and I tried Casa Lupita for lunch. First there was only 1 waitress,Jasmine, but she had the front completely under control. Setting out chips, taking orders, delivering orders and to go's. A whirlwind. We ordered the combo lunch Of 2 items and rice and beans. Excellent food. I had a chili relleno and beef taco and I'm still thinking about the relleno. We will be back often. Their food is good but the service was terrible! We sat down before two other groups who all got chips and drinks before us. After I asked, out waitress seemed snobby. She was then rude the rest of the time, I saw everyone else get checked on and had their drinks refilled and our turn never came. Just stopped by Casa Lupitas again for an early dinner and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken mole enchiladas for the second time and they were EXCELLENT! The best mole sauce ever and great service from the owner's daughter Jennifer. Casa Lupitas is a family owned authentic Mexican restaurant. Jennifer explained that they only include a small amount of chocolate in their mole so it isn't too sweet. It also has a hint of cinnamon. My husband enjoyed a carnitas burrito with cilantro and onions. We will definitely be returning to Casa Lupitas on our next road trip!! read more

This was a great find after hitting the local trails mountain biking. Looked up on yelp what was around, and Casa Lupitas showed up. Being a huge fan of mexican, I went to check it out and super glad I did. I ordered the carnitas burrito w everything, which includes, onions, cilantro, rice, beans and salsa. This was a hefty burrito!! I was starving and I didn't finish it. It came with chips and salsa, which btw, the chips tasted great too, as does their salsa. Lady at the register was super friendly and the place itself was nice. It has a small patio out in front with a small inside eating area. I've tried an asada burrito and cheese enchiladas. They were okay, but not of great quality or taste. However, if you're in Castaic it's as good as it gets for Mexican food. I usually drive to El Pescador in Fillmore for higher quality and delicious meals. read more

Our favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Everything I've tried has been great. My favorite choice is the shrimp cocktail which is a refreshing meal of shrimp with avocado, cilantro, onion in a tomato juice drink. It's served with lime and saltines. The chips and salsa while you wait for your meal are very good with lots of refills. The service is friendly and timely. You have a choice of eating indoors or on the covered patio. It's right next to the Pilot truck stop, so if you have a semi truck or long trailer, you can park it there and walk over. If you went to do Dominos or 7 Eleven, you went too far. This is your average hole in the wall Mexican restaurant at first glance. But as soon as your taste the food the experience turns into something else. Now it is possible I could have just been starving for a meal that wasn't fast food after 4 hours of driving. But I knew that the quality of this food was better than most places I've been to. I ordered the beef taco which was ok but the beef was kind of stringy and chewy for my taste. But the Cheese Enchilada I ordered was divine. It tasted perfectly and I liked it so much that I took it home and ate the rest of it later that night. I normally don't drive leftovers for four hours and then rehear them, but lol and behold I did. Down in Castaic there's a small restaurant which provides guests with delicious Mexican food, daily breakfast, and original fare in coffee and lemonade. It's called Casa Lupita as indicated from the sign and I've entered the expanded lobby where seats are made ready in concern for guests over dining. An original cactus dish should be considered at this establishment- for, with presentation on cue to flavors in hot red sauce and sliced nopales, any view for the eating opportunity gets me excited by all means. Visual styles cover the dining area from looking points in gear for a dark ambiance when revealed for interest and exhaustion from everyday traffic. It feels good to eat a nice, hot meal during a break from the crowd of vehicles outside. You'll find carnitas to be in good proportion along the lines between seating and eating under the roof. Their lemonade is served in a cup, comes with lots of ice, and may be characterized as useful for quenching thirst and reason of hunger. A variety of meats reminds me of choice selections from good, local restaurants working near the busy roads as holidays roll in within grasp of fortunate circumstances evident where dependence lies in true necessity and requirement of high energy levels. Views are generally nice inside and go beyond the reach of located hotspot. Servers usually arrive near the counters with menus at hand. Choice selection varies, dependent on taste and quality preferred in a moment like this one. Plates are divided between portions according to matters of importance in experience for main dish and side dish. Maybe there'll be a small container filled with tortillas (a kind of flat bread for wrapping goods with) as beans remain next to rice and the proportionate feature of meat and sauce; it depends on variety, choice, and experience from both. I've had several dishes here over the last couple years or so. Sometimes complicated matters are necessary due to supply and demand on a given note for experience as prolonged in haste for visionary ideas related over a nice, hot meal and it takes patience for the happiness to kick in. Obstacles in the way serve their purpose. Fortunately the dishes appear to be consistently hot and fresh. Experience is tangled with for horizons spoken of with family members in my group and the general crowd inside is mostly exhausted, calm, and in favor of demand. Tried this restaurant upon the recommendation of The UPS Store staff. My husband and I both ordered off Lupita's Combinations. We each had the combo with beef taco dorado, beef enchilada with salsa verde and a chile relleno. Service was excellent, our server, Misty, actually asked us if we wanted refills on beverages before we would have asked. Our food arrived piping hot, not just the plate. House salsa is divine, chips thin and fresh, beans and rice- spot on, as is their guacamole. Down side- they don't serve lengua . If you happen to be going by Castaic, this gem is close to the freeway and worthy of a stop for the hungry traveler. read more
