I went to Casa Mia this past Friday with my friend for dinner and some drinks. We spent hours just hanging out and catching up. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. We found this place randomly after going to Ridley creek. We enjoyed a chicken, veal, shrimp and pasta dish. All were fresh, flavorful and tasted made to order. Wines were good and all but one dessert were great. We would return. Prices are reasonable for quality and portions they offer. read more

Order the chicken parmesan and sent it back after two bites!! The gravy was watery with no flavor, the spaghetti was thick and tough, and the chicken was pounded to a flat piece of nothing. One of my faves and lucky for me, close to home as well. Specials are truly unique (two pork chops stuffed in between). Only minus is the food service is a lil slow (but well worth the wait) and the dining room is a bit noisy (bar is right in the middle). Very nice V-Day dinner with wife. We did not have reservations so we had to sit at the bar which was spacious. The bartender was very attentive and made excellent wine suggestions. She got chicken parm which was very good as was my prime rib. We will def be back. Great and easy access parking too. read more

Every time we go to Casa Mia we grumble about the prices, and the fact that they don't substitute carb loaded side dishes for healthier green options without an upcharge, that being said, we find ourselves going back. The grilled octopus and whole bronzino are amazing. The husband and wife owners are always present. The place is immaculately clean. And they are not hurting for business. They have a big following of local patrons that will sit and eat, drink, and be merry with the owners and fellow patrons. Casa Mia has a homey atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome and I have never left there without speaking to at least one of the owners. The food ranges from elegant to a simple pizza. Always a great variety of specials, and a staple menu of Italian favorites. You can show up in a suit or in your sweats and still feel comfortable. The bar has everything you could want, a few nice beers on tap and a nice wine list. I particularly like their house Chianti and the Malbec. I leave off a star only because I think they are a little pricey for the area, but like I said, we keep going back. read more

We have been passing by this place for years and it is always packed, so finally we went for dinner. Huge mistake. First, it is ridiculously loud. There is no effort at all to dampen the noise. Second, the food is terrible. Not bad, not average, terrible. And third, it is pretty expensive! I had the sautéed calamari fra diavlo(19.99). The sauce was the consistency of water and had no flavor, and the calamari was like rubber bands (despite the waiters assurance that it was fresh, not frozen). My partner had the Zappa di pessce (24.99). It was the same watery, flavorless sauce, and the seafood was tough and flavorless. There was a couple next to us who sounded like they had the flu, coughing and hacking away, and a kid with Turrets screaming at the table on the other side (no, I don't have a problem with this, just that it was pretty disruptive). One bright spot was the waiter, who was both nice and cheerful. Needless to say, that is not enough to get us to ever go back. I have no idea how this place stays so busy. No idea at all. read more

Have not been in since the new owner has taken over however, I still feel the need to boast about this place! The special hoagie was out of this world. I remember when it used to be the Rocky Run Inn where I used to go for the best hoagies ever. The calamari was absolutely to die for. This is a 2 star restaurant at best. We have been passing by this place for months and based on the reviews really wanted to try it. Let me save you the time and lots of money. Don't bother. Pros: (1) Cathy the waitress (2) The Ceasar salad (3) The ice tea (4) The bread was warm Cons: (1) My wife had the bass special, maybe the bones is why we paid extra. (2) I had the shrimp scampi and it was okay at best, not much better than a frozen dinner. (3) And the cost rating is inaccurate, change that to $$$. I've eaten at many places that were as good and much better for half the price. (4) This is not a fancy restaurant but what they charge would make you think it was. (5) It's very loud (6) Food prep charge of $3, what is that??? (7) We replaced our house salads with one ceasar salad and they still charged for the salad, where my house salads then? (8) very little bread in size and quantity (9) where's the olive oil and spices for the bread, you get butter... What? This was our first, last, and only time going to this restaurant, the people rating it higher than a 2 star must be all the locals that sit at the bar. If I spend $90 for dinner, I should at least get a really good meal. read more

I too was at the restaurant for the first time last night. We found the food excellent and staff very pleasant. The only issue we had was the loud belligerent so called law student who was clearly trying to make a scene. So everyone in the restaurant had to endure his loud complaining and threatening the staff that he would go on yelp ,until he and his dinner companion finally left. Everything was just bland. From the bread to the salads, to the fish. The pizza has no flavor, so it couldn't be bad, you just couldn't tell you were eating anything. You needed a steak knife to cut Thu chicken it was so tough and the one piece of chicken was too tough to eat. The only reason the fish had taste was the lemon sauce. To Amy P, all restaurant.com gift certificates exclude alcohol and it is ludicrous to compare Casa Mia to Olive Garden. I've been there several times and have never ever been disappointed. While their regular menu is on the typical side, their specials are outstanding all the time. Their chilean sea bass is perfection and their veal parm can be cut with a fork. Service was terrific and the owner visited all tables to chat with the clientele. I would go weekly if I could! read more

The pizza is terrific. I love wood-fire pizza and I think they did a great job preparing it. Their wait-staff is friendly and our waitress was hilarious. We had a fun night, enjoyed our food, and thought the prices were fair. I will visit Casa Mia again. read more

Casa Mia is my go to Italian restaurant. My husband & I have been to this restaurant more times than we can count. We've brought friends & family and all are in agreement that Casa Mia has great service & food. Although the Italian food is my favorite the pizza, sandwiches & other entrees are well worth the trip. 3 weeks ago we decided to try this restaurant,that we had heard about at work .Well let me tell you, it is FANTASTIC, the food a 20 plus,the drinks 10 plus,very generous portions,and the service is excellent,The hostess greets you like you are and old friend and the waiter/waitress are so very nice, and very knowable about the menu . But the best of all is the food,the appetizers are great,we had a salad that has a very savory taste of honey, the kitchen has things under control,they have the time to a T You finish the ,salad, the appetizers come right in,finish the appetizers and the main course is right on time,no waiting. Usually we do not write reviews and it took 3 or 4 weeks to do so,but people are very quick to write complaints,they do not write about the good things when they go out,so this time I am writing a review,definitely going back, One thing do, the bar is a little too loud for us,but, that is a sign that people are having a good time, read more

Went tonight at 4:30 for Happy Hour. Bartender was super friendly; but, $6 drafts is a special?!?!? The jalapeño poppers were completely flavorless. Ended up leaving after a 1/2 hour for Riddle Ale House, who, by the way, have $2 drafts (Coors & Yeungling) and half-priced apps M-F. Definitely not headed back to Casa Mia! read more
