Cute little place. Decent price. Bed extremely comfortable. The room is cute. Watch your step going in your room! We checked in when it was dark and I tripped going in the room. Same with the spa area 3 steps at spa and not well lit at all at night. Breakfast was absolutely disgusting. They should just not do eggs or bacon. Eggs looked like a sponge and was sitting in water..bacon looked and tasted like it was microwave. You have a option to check out a bike and you get a free wine tasting voucher. read more

Case Ojai was an ok place to stay in Ojai. You really don't have a lot of good choices unless you stay at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa which is gorgeous by the way. Unfortunately they had a 2 night minimum, so Casa Ojai it was. Everything was fine, unfortunately if you make a trip to the Ojai valley inn part way through your trip, you're going to be pretty disappointed with your accommodations. So go expecting it to be what it is, a slightly better than typical motel. read more

So I booked this "motel" and somehow the dates got changed on the computer (I was booking my birthday weekend, so I know I didn;t put in the wrong dates)... ultimately, I was a no show on the date booked, so I contacted Janet (the manager) through Hotwire and asked if she was willing to rebook me on the date I wanted or even give a discount toward a future booking. She REFUSED. As a business owner myself - I never would take money for doing nothing and I also would have taken into account that I may be going to Ojai on a regular basis and been a great customer for several years to come. Instead they get my lousy $150. and a very unhappy customer. read more

This is a cute inn to stay at. You get free breakfast, free bike rentals, pet friendly, free wifi, a pool and hot tub, and free self parking. It's also very close to downtown, a 5 minute bike ride. It's a great deal. The service here is good, the room was also pretty clean. Nothing fancy but it's comfortable. Would stay here again next time we take a trip to Ojai. read more

Stayed here for one night. Made the reservation through Priceline.com and it was a quick check in when we got there. The room was clean, the bed really comfortable, and the toiletries needed to shower were all there. It was very quiet all night. The pool & jacuzzi were clean and relaxing. The pool side furniture was real comfortable; perfect for a late night cigar & glass of wine before going into the jacuzzi. The next day I was up early & went down to the lobby where they had a continental breakfast and it was just what I needed before heading out for a hike; toasted raisin bagel, fruit & coffee. They also had yogurt, waffles, boiled eggs & cereal. The check out was as quick & easy as the check in. I would stay there again. read more

Some of it is 4-5 star, and some of it is 1-2 star. The land of "yes, but". From the outside, it looks like a Red Roof Inn with a fresh coat of paint. But inside the rooms, it's a lot like a Hilton or a Marriott. Comfy new king-size Simmons bed, 42" flat screen TV, granite bath counters, arabica coffee for the coffee maker... Yes, there's a pool, but it's not heated. And there were no towels (until we went to the front desk and asked, after which they were delivered promptly). When the towels did arrive, they were paper-thin and rough like sandpaper. Hilarious. Internet is free, but oh-so-slow. There is a free continental breakfast, which my wife found so appealing that she brought back pre-packaged Quaker granola bars as a snack. Net, you get what you pay for, and this was o.k. for what it was ($159 for a Saturday night in downtown Ojai in high season). read more

Our room was clean, tidy, fresh-smelling and contemporarily decorated. The only drawback was that, given that we were in the corner near the stairs, the room was fairly dark. We were in Ojai for a wedding at Ojai Valley Inn but had no interest in spending $500/night to stay there; Casa Ojai was a perfectly fine alternative. I wouldn't stay there for a romantic weekend (it fell more on the "serviceable" side of things) but I'd absolutely go back again if we were in the area. The continental breakfast and lobby amenities (tea/coffee/cookies/microwave) were great, and the staff could not have been kinder or more gracious. There was no traffic or airplane noise; it was very quiet there -- excluding the gaggle of brick-footed children staying above us. read more

I'm grateful this place had room for me on a Saturday night. The front desk lady that worked that Saturday night was sweet and she makes really good cookies. The breakfast was ok. I was more upset with the room which looked extremely boring. I'm talking carpet, cabinets, lighting. I went to Ojai for an escape but I felt like I was at a holiday inn on business. They had a nice pool and hot tub. If you would like to ride a bike into town it's going to cost you $15. Pass. The maids woke me up super early in the morning, which was super annoying. Turns out my room was located right where they have their smoke breaks. Literally right outside my door. I speak spanish so I know they were not talking about work. People need to be more conscience of their surroundings. read more

Good customer service and modest amenities for the price. The rooms are nice and seem remodeled, if a little used (expected for most hotel rooms, some stains cannot be removed). Everything was overall satisfactory. The only small reservation I have is the continental breakfast. It is functional and totally appreciated, but as others have said the eggs were not that appetizing, but the bacon was nice as an alternative to carb-heavy items. I would definitely stay here again, and the market within walking distance is a good alternative to continental breakfast if their selections are not satisfactory. read more

My room was super comfortable, quiet and clean on the first floor for easy access. The staff is attentive and sincere in making sure you are comfortable. Breakfast is a modest spread of sugary options and processed scrambled eggs. Not all natural. But they have a full offering of teas and a cup of coffee. Don't expect a view or resort amenities but you can expect friendly service and accessibility to whatever you might like to explore in Ojai. read more

We stayed there over Memorial Weekend. It is an older motel which has been repainted, but the rooms are very motel-like, including shampoo and soap dispensers glued to the wall and shower stall. The room was decent sized, but it smelled musty. At least the windows open, so we had them open most of the day to air the place out. They offer breakfast, which was toaster waffles, toast, cereal, etc, but the dining area was much too small to accomodate all the people trying to get in there at once. Our room was upstairs, there is no elevator. For over $200 per night (with a discount), I expected better. read more

I requested for a roll away bed which was not available after that I went the front desk's solution offering to cancel our reservation which of course would not help me at all but their response was not helpful to me after that i was stayed for 2 days to avoid their terms and conditions it was very bad to stay there. A friend and I rented two rooms here for a get away. One room had a barely functional AC unit, but was otherwise fine. My friends' room had a toilet that did not flush. It was reported to the management at 7 am. It is now noon and still not fixed. In order to use a toilet we had to go to the front office and use the lobby toilet that has feces on the seat and on the inside of the bowl. It was this way yesterday as well. When we asked if there is a clean toilet to use, the answer was no. I suggested I use the room I just checked out of, or use an empty room just temporarily. The staff said no. So we have to not use the toilet, use a filthy toilet, or use a toilet that doesn't flush. No apologies, no solutions. Very disappointing. They also never switched my room information to the info I provided at check in, so my friend received all of my notices and receipts. Such a bummer because we would have come back if we had a good experience and the issues were super easy fixes. read more

Wonderful stay at the Casa Ojai Inn! The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our room was clean with white quality bedding, comfortable mattress, and no ugly smelly carpeting. We also had our own private terrace which made our stay even better. We traveled 3,000 miles staying in many hotels/motels, Casa Ojai Inn was by far our favorite! They offer fast wi-fi, two pools (one is salt water), coffee / tea at all hours and a very nice breakfast. We really enjoyed our time there finding it quiet and a nice place to relax. The staff is quit familiar with the area which is very helpful for out-of-towners like us. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance (went to them all) and a short drive to other great places in Ojai. Great place to visit. read more

This past weekend I stayed at Casa Ojai and I will definitely be returning! The establishment is clean and well-kept, the rooms are lovely and comfortable (I like the eco-friendly touch), and the employees are friendly and hospitable. I was very pleased with what I got for the reasonable rate. Additional perks include the nice poolside continental breakfast and the problem-free WiFi in the rooms. One final note--I had been looking at several places to stay for my first trip to Ojai, but it was my phone conversation with Hannah at the front desk that finalized my decision, and she continued to provide excellent customer service upon my arrival and throughout my stay. read more

I stayed there last weekend with a friend and we both found the place very clean, the bed comfortable, and even though the place was totally full, there was little noise to be heard. The complimentary breakfast was more than just some rolls, or cereal. We had scrambled eggs, bacon and many other choices. There were 3 different types of cereal, yogurt, toast, waffles and bagels to pick from. The staff at the inn was extremely nice and helpful. I plan on staying there again the next time I am in Ojai. We were also given a coupon for wine or beer tasting at the Ojai Beverage Company. A place we also enjoyed. read more

The reviews for this hotel are dated and inaccurate. The internet does not work and the staff can't fix it. When I tried to cancel the remaining days of my reservation because of this, I was told that there was a 48 hour cancellation policy. 48 HOURS! When I asked what the penalty was for early cancellation after 48 hours, I was told it was the actual cost of the rooms (naturally). There are better and more professional hotels with better facilities in Ojai. I won't stay here again. read more

I have NEVER pulled up to a 'hotel' only to turn the car around and find another place to stay! The pictures are VERY deceiving! No where on the website do they even show current, run down photos of this motel. There are cheap, tacky AC units in the rooms! I was totally appalled and incredibly disappointed with this place! To be honest, I did not feel safe- Of course, the motel would not cancel our reservation. So, we ended up paying NOT to stay there. Booked another room at a HOTEL about 25 minutes away. Best decision we ever made! Spoke to a few other people who DID stay there and they would never stay there again! read more

Great place for a very reasonable price. I had driven overnight 600+ miles from Az. and was quite tired when I arrived very early. I was hoping to be able to check in early with time to nap and freshen up for an early afternoon event I had come for. I really didn't expect what I got. Talon the desk clerk booked me in right away to a very nice room that had not been sold the night before and was ready to go. So you might say that is why I give it five stars but the real reason is the room was very nice, clean, quiet especially the air cond. system, nice to have a fridge and nice to have bottled water in the room that didn't cost $6.00. It was free. Still the best part of any place is it's staff and Talon would be the best part of any place he represented. If I had been able to have employees of his caliber I might have stayed in business a lot longer. read more

A very pleasant stay. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi is nice. The rooms are your typical hotel rooms. I liked that the bathroom had a window in it which gives nice morning light when you take a shower. Breakfast served poolside is fine, it's continental style with your basic cereals, breads, bagels, containers of yogurt. My biggest gripe? I disliked how the air conditioner in the room was positioned above the mirror of the bathroom sink. Strange place for an AC! read more

Service was excellent and don't forget to pick up a fresh baked cookie on your way out. My only complaint - and this was very minor - was the bathroom was small and to use the toilet I had to shut the door. The outside looks like a lot of motels but the rooms are really nice ... actually very nice for the price levels. The service at the reception is very friendly and helpful and they have all types of recommendations for wining and dining and sportive activities. They even rent bikes themselves so you don't have to go in town to get one. Half day fee is $15 and a full day is $25 ... which is comparable with the bike shops in town. They have a couple of hybrid bikes and the rest are city bikes. There is a pool and a jacuzzi area where one can also eat ones breakfast in the morning. Continental breakfast by the way is included in the room rate and there is a good variety of breads and bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereals etcetera. There is also free WIFI in the rooms, which is great. read more

Nice decor, clean, and in lovely location. Was overall impressed with our stay here. Definitely my top choice compared to other hotels I've stayed at. Even has a window in the bathroom! Also, had no need to ever call the front desk for any issues. Most hotels I've stayed at, we had to call the front desk for some kind of issue.
