Best Mexican food in town. Family owned and run. If you want the real deal instead of oily, grossly cheesy goop, this is your place. Found out today they had clam chowder as the soup. Suspicious I ordered a bowl to go So as not to mess with the dish I had in mind to order for lunch, their spicy shrimp plate Which was great. Had the chowder for dinner tonight, some of the best I've had anywhere, and I'm picky. So now what do I do ? Go there for great Mexican food and find out they have clam chowder as the soup of the day! Between a rock and a hard place! BTW if you've not had a potato taco, try one at CasaRios, awesome with their avocado jalapeño sauce. read more

We had an interesting dinner experience here. Have heard lots of good things and know people who come here regularly. Unfortunately I think we must have caught our server on a bad night as it seemed from the get go she was inconvenienced by having us there. It felt like we were supposed to on the spot know what we wanted even to drink even though it was our first time there and she appeared impatient. We received two baskets of chips and salsas for a group of 8 which seemed minimal. When we asked for additional chips we were told we would be charged. Have never experienced that at a Mexican restaurant before. My husband and I also decided to split the fajitas and when we asked for some extras tortillas we were told we would be charged for each individual tortillas ($0.50) because they are handmade. I can appreciate things being handmade, but at this point it felt like we should plan to be charged for just about everything as if we aren't already paying enough for dinner and drinks! The experience really went beyond just excessive charges, but really the attitude of our server ruined the experience for us. Not a place we will give our business to in the future when there are plenty of other great Mexican restaurants in town. read more

My favorite place for Mexican food! The dishes are always freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. It's more of a bistro style Mexican food in comparison to other establishments in Redding. The Diablo tacos and Chile rellano are two of my trusty favorites. The place is nice, clean and stylish. The service is quick, friendly and efficient. On our most recent visit we had the pleasure of sitting in Aidee's section. She was friendly, attentive and patient as our party took a while to go through the menu. read more

Food selection and quality were excellent. Service was top notch. The only downside was it took forever to get our food delivered. And they screwed up my wife's tacos (She ordered crispy chicken tacos and they brought out soft shells). It's still a great place to eat with good parking. read more

for this day they definitely DID NOT live up to the hype. Middle of the afternoon, not busy, the wet burrito I ordered was cold in the wrap and the green sauce on top was room temp at best. My wife's quesadilla was so tepid the tortilla was raw and chewy and the cheese inside was cold and not melted. major fail on that day! read more

Very good food and very consistent. Prices are kinda steep compared to others around town but the food taste makes up for it.

First time here upon recommendation of a good friend. Absolutely delicious. Best Mexican food by far that we've tried in Redding in the last six years. Our server Natalie was attentive, hard working and friendly. The Sante fe salad was so good, the chicken was moist and delicious. Wine by the glass out of Lodi, oak run zinfandel was delightful. The taquito appetizer was amazing. Very flavorful, beautifully presented, and quite filling for two. Whenever we find ourselves back here we will get the appetizer and soup or desert only. Service was quick and friendly. We also had fish tacos but they weren't spectacular and the chili verde was almost too sweet. After the appetizer we couldn't finish either plate. read more

A friend joined me for lunch at this Mexican Restaurant. The space is very nicely decorated, and clean with comfortable seating. We were greeted at the door and received friendly and good service. I like to order a combination plate with a couple of choices. They don't offer this. They also don't offer A la carte dishes. The server said I could order two items but didn't give me any information. I chose a pork enchilada and chile relleno. Both were very good, especially the enchilada. Cost was $20. Their chips and warm bean dip are very good. I like this restaurant but they could do a better job with their menu. read more

I ordered the Chicken Santa Fe salad, dressing on the side. I also asked for a small cup of Pico de gallo so that I could add that to my salad for flavor (less calories than the creamy dressing). The salad was good but there I was surprised at the small portion of chicken that was included and buried under the greens. Long story short, I felt I paid $20 for a plate of greens with a few slices of chicken. But what really upset me was they charged me $2.50 for the tiny cup of pico. We just paid it and left. Went there today, a lovely rainy day. Was seated next to a window, my friend and I enjoyed seeing the outside activities. I ordered the Casa Rios Chicken Bowl. Grilled chicken, very fresh greens of red lettuce,a deep purple lettuce, radicchio, spinach, grilled chicken, black beans, a crispy tiny rice noodle, and more. Guacamole on top. Fresh chips, a bean dip, plus a red dip was tasty. Restaurant was clean, service great..can't wait to try more offerings. My friend finished her selection quickly. First time here. The staff are so welcoming and kind. They even accommodated my service princess. I order nachos because I wasn't very hungry. They were excellent. The Carnitas were so tender and no fat. My drink for the night was a lavender lemon drop. Yum!!! Dessert was to die for. I had salted caramel crunch cake. I'm totally stuffed. Gotta go!!! read more

Made reservations - wanted to try a new Mexican place with the fam. The first thing you notice is the acoustics in the restaurant are horrible - the whole table had a hard time hearing one another, but we got used to talk/yelling. We tried to order margaritas, which is one of the main things we love when eating Mexican, but it turns out they don't have a full bar (yet?), so we could only order wine margaritas. We tried the lime and it actually wasn't bad, but we obviously still would have preferred the real thing. The server we had was very nice, we had plenty of chips and salsa, and waters were always refilled, but I can't remember the last time we waited this long for a food order in a restaurant. The food came out very slowly and one plate at a time, and it was actually pretty tasty. Worth the wait, poor acoustics, and fake margaritas? No, but it's got potential. read more
