The food was absolutely excellent, and the place itself was very beautiful. Our server, Luis Brito, was outstanding--extremely professional and attentive throughout our visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

I visited Zeru about a month or so ago with six other people and got the impression the restaurant had recently opened. The restaurant is located in the AKA hotel on the other side of the valet driveway. The interior is beautiful and the staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. Since there were so many of us, we ordered several dishes including the Pata negra and parmesan croquettes (my favorite), Smoked honey roasted butternut squash with mascarpone (very good), Sirloin Steak, wild mushrooms and asparagus (okay), the Branzino filet and green leaves (tasty), a steak and the Potato mille feuille and baked apple (I would have preferred the dish without the apple). We also ordered the Bluefin tuna tartare with black truffle and saffron but it never arrived. For dessert, we had the Arroz con leche socarrat with vanilla ice cream which everyone loved but I just thought was okay. Overall, I'd say the restaurant is beautiful, the food was good, and even though there were a few issues with the service, I'd chalk it up to being a new restaurant as the staff were all lovely otherwise. I'd say Zeru is a good addition to the neighborhood.

We loved this place, Luna served us at the bar first, we tried the ham croquettes and half a portion of Iberian ham with some Aperol Spritz. Then the very nice Hostess passed us to the table too. Luis was our waiter and explained to us in detail each dish of the Miami Spice. We looked very well with our guests they were fascinated.

This is an upscale Basque restaurant. It beautiful inside. Service is the best. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I sat at the bar and had the undivided attention of the bar person. Food was creative and delicious. I'm had the black cod piquillo peppers, the branzino filet with tomatoes and artichokes and the arroz con leche socarrat with ice cream for dessert. Had two goodglasses of wine - a great Albariño and a great Pinot noir. They also comped me a glass of dessert wine. A super meal in a great space.

What a beautifully decorated place, the art pieces were the highlight of the decor for us, perfect for a date night or lunch. The service was outstanding, the staff is certainly well trained. The food was delicious, but our favorite was the dessert! Probably my favorite right now. We preferred the fish over the meat dishes, we found a good balance between flavor and culinary ingenuity. The bacalao croquettes were delicious, you could see the flakiness of the bacalao after the first bite, I would highly recommend the seafood in this place. The clams were spectacular as well. Overall a pleasant experience and a savory delight. We will be returning for sure!

Over the past few years it feels like we are getting more Basque restaurants in Miami. I've had great experience with them, so I look forward to trying Zeru for the first time for Miami Spice. The dining room is beautifully decorated, with a high ceiling. I love how there is a little "tree" by each table for people to hang their coats or bags. I wish every restuarant is so considerate!! Besides the three courses on the Spice menu, I was also given an amuse-bouche and some welcome pintxos: a mussel croquette, a pata negra and parmesan croquette, and a mini tomato and serrano ham toast. I have the txangurro for appetizer, which is a crab meat spread, and for my entree the seafood socarrat. The txangurro, while loaded with crab meat, tastes blander than I expected, somehow missing the rich, creamy tomalley that I am used to tasting in other txangurro I've tried before. The seafood, especially the shrimp on the socarrat, was excellent. Shrimp is one ingredient where there's a vast difference between the good and the bad, and this big juicy ones, nicely grilled, is definitely among the best. While I expect the socarrat to be more charred and crispy, like the Persian tahdig or Korean stone pot rice, overall the dish is so delicious I'd love to return for it. It also goes very well with a glass of crispy white. The catalan cream for dessert is light and fluffy, not too sweet. The service is very efficient. There seems to be a team of waiters. As soon as you finish a dish, someone will come and pick up the dishes. Then another will come by to replace the silverware, and then within minutes your next course is brought to you. There is limited street parking available, or you can valet or park in nearby garages.

A new trendy, stylish Basque and Mediterranean restaurant in Brickell. Zeru, means"sky" or "the heavens" in Basque, it exemplifies the Spaniard' ability to elevate simple ingredients into unique & memorable dishes. The main entrance is from the AKA hotel with valet parking in front. The restaurant is stylish & beautiful it felt like we were in Spain. The interesting menu is focused on coastal fish, grilled meats and vegetables. We started by sharing some small plates with artichokes, scallops, and salmon. The sauces were creative, unique & full of flavor. We asked for sourdough bread with eggplant butter to soak up the sauces. Our main course was sea bream, roasted vegetables, and basque burnt rice scrapped from below the vegetables. For dessert, we shared figs and cream. Our meal was delicious and service was impeccable. Daniel, our waiter said that he could arrange a tasting menu if we would like. He could give us a sampling of croquettes and different items from the menu. I was able to peer into the open kitchen & see the Basque Josper oven with charcoal.

This is a not easy to find stylish Basque restaurant in the general area much less Brickell. If you have eaten in Spain, the decor and menu may look a bit familiar. We shared some small plates with artichokes, scallops, and salmon. The sauces were creative, unique &tasty. All were good! We asked for sourdough bread with eggplant butter to soak up the sauces. Our main course was sea bream, roasted vegetables, and rice. For dessert, we shared figs and cream. Our meal was delicious and service was impeccable. Daniel, our waiter said that he could arrange a tasting menu if we would like. I wish this option was on the menu. Daniel was on point with his recommendations and attentive. It is a little pricy but worth it!

Stopped by here for lunch with my niece. The atmosphere beautiful the ambiance was exquisite with art and elegance all over. The service was excellent we were greeted at the door and our waitress was very knowledgeable. The waitress reccomended the best on the menu for us and the drinks were very good. My favorite dish was the squash and salad the branzino fish was in a lemon butter sauce so tasty. The desserts were very delicious. My favorite dessert was the dulce de leche with the banana ice cream. To top it off you must try the dessert wine so good to end a delicious lunch. Great date spot to take someone for a 3 course meal for $44.00 can't beat that in Miami.

Zeru is a beautifully decorated, modern space that is also comfortable. The basque food was well executed and presented with fine dining elegance to justify the high prices. The service, however was unfortunately pushy and solicitous with upsells.

Very good restaurant with an interesting spin on Basque cuisine. I can't say that the ambiance is of a genuine high end restaurant from EUZKADI, it's more of a Guria meets South Beach. The intent of the food is Basque, but misses the focus. But, it's delicious, well prepared and fresh. My family ordered just about everything on the menu, it was our first time and we were excited about the experience. Every dish we tried was amazing. The service was great, two people were constantly making sure we were content. This place is not inexpensive, but it's worth a special occasion or a celebration.

Came in last night for anniversary dinner and enjoyed everything about this spot. First valet only option if you are driving in. Valet is $15. We had a reservation and they sat us right away. Usually in Miami it takes 30 min or so to sit for a reserved time. Off to great start. I had read reviews here and on Eater so had an idea about the food. My wife & I are foodies, we'd rather go to quality eating spots rather than be seen spots and food not so good. Our waiter was excellent, ulysses. He was super friendly and offered great descriptions of the menu. Now the menu had so many good options! We tried some stuff from the Pintxos (tapas) to try, Pata negra platter. We got the half. Highly recommended! Table side slicing of jamón. Fresh and excellent flavor. Must get! We also opted for the Black cod piquillo peppers. Amazing! Flavor was outstanding. We did want to try both octopus, and we did, but the Mojo one is the way to go! Amazing! We got half orders on both, but next time going full on the Mojo. Not that the Gallega style was bad, it too was good. But between the two. We moved on our entre, we tried the seasonal catch, Dorado. It was excellent, so well cooked and it was like butter in your mouth. We also got Socarrats which are like a mini paella. But it's the bottom part of paella flavor. We did a small order of the squid ink one. So good! Great finale was the Kobe one. Amazing! We didn't have one dish that we wouldn't order again. They treated us to an after dinner drink. It was a port wine. Flavorful and great way to end. The desert too was excellent. Seating is kind of close to your neighbor. Just an FYI. We spent about 2.5 hours for dinner. Timing on everything was perfect. Ulysses made for a great experience. I'd ask for him if you can. Made our experience a great one. Be prepared to spend some money, it's not cheap and adds up quickly. Bottle wine + our dinner with tip that comes included already, will run you around $600+ for 2.

First things first: if you want their Spanish tortilla with chorizo, you have to order it ahead of time. Same-day they usually only have the regular tortilla available, so plan ahead -- and trust me, it's worth it. Thick, soft, perfectly layered potatoes and egg with that extra smoky chorizo flavor that takes it to another level. A true comfort dish done right. Their tortilla is one of their staples for a reason. We also ordered a variety of croquetas: jamón serrano, queso manchego, camarones, and bacalao. Honestly, all of them were good (and I mean all), but the bacalao croquetas? Wow. Next level. Super creamy inside, crispy outside, packed with flavor -- easily my favorite of the table. And because it was Mother's Day, dessert was mandatory. Everyone ordered something different: flan with almond ice cream, crema catalana, Basque-style cheesecake, and I went for the Tarta San Marcos. I'm not Spanish, so it was my first time trying it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's made with layers of sponge cake, cream, chocolate truffle -- but somehow it doesn't feel too heavy. It paired perfectly with a cafecito and was the ideal ending to the meal. The place is small, cozy, and very authentic. I hadn't been in a while, and you can tell they've organized the space better -- the wine boxes and market area feel cleaner and more intentional, and there's a little more room to breathe. Service was super nice and welcoming. Overall, La Vasca is one of those hidden gems where the food feels as authentic as it gets. If you're craving real Spanish food in Miami, this place absolutely delivers.

They had a duck confit special tonight that was so delicious, it came with a gravy, poached pears and mushrooms. My favorite dish was their foie gras , definitely a rich dish but is paired with some balsamic reductions and various jellies to cut on the richness of the fat. I stopped in for lunch after a work meeting and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. I needed a "steak break," so I opted for the "I Can't Believe It's Not Carbonara"--and I have zero noodle regrets! The zucchini substitute combined with a delicious carbonara sauce meant there was no concern about the lack of traditional pasta. The zucchini more than filled the role, and I certainly appreciated the caloric savings. The chicken was also well-cooked, flavorful, and moist. I especially loved the tableside delivery and the unique touch of being served directly from a colander. The order isn't huge, which I appreciated, it felt the right size for lunch without weighing down your afternoon. Now, there were likely no calorie savings with the Serrano Ham Croquettes, but they are small and easily shareable if you want to spread the love. They are a true step up and a legitimate treat compared to run-of-the-mill mozzarella sticks. The decor kitsch continues right until the end--the check arrived in an old-school lunchbox!
