The security guard who claimed to be the manager. He repeatedly denied me and my girlfriend entry because she had a service animal.

I have been going to Davis Park my entire life and I have always held the Casino close to my heart. It is a staple of a community I love and it's really upsetting that I can't speak more positively about it after an incident that occurred last night. My girlfriend has a service dog. The dog has been up in the Casino many times and has never had any issue. This past 4th of July me and a few buddies of mine all wanted to go up to have a few drinks before catching the last boat. Immediately my girlfriend and I were told that we may not enter with the dog. We tried to explain that he is a registered service animal. That he is protected by the law and that he is legally allowed on the property because he is accompanying my girlfriend. Without even bothering to listen to us there were two security guards who repeatedly dismissed us over and over stating "There is nothing that you can do that will change our minds". They said that the bar was too busy (there were maybe 20 people in an open space. 3 of which were my friends who entered before us). I asked to speak with a manager or the owner and the guy in the photo claimed to be a manager. He was extremely rude and displayed a serious lack of understanding for the situation. I explained that denying her entry is a civil rights violation because you are discriminating against someone with a disability... despite pulling up the law on my phone, providing him with a card that explains her dogs status, and trying to explain to him that this is an illegal action he continued to deny us entry if we had the service dog. I explained the importance of a service animal and stated that it could be problematic if someone got hurt without the presence of one at the establishment and he retorted with "I do not care if she gets hurt you can't bring the dog in". I found this statement incredibly disturbing especially when he also stated that they "deny service animals all the time". This is a serious issue if that's actually true because there are plenty of people who utilize service animals for any number of health related reasons and the fact that the security staff appointed on what is supposed to be one of the most busy nights of the year doesn't recognize that is extremely problematic. Of the 3 security guards I saw working that night 2 were extremely rude and aggressive towards me and my girlfriend and I hope the guards working that night are educated on the rights individuals with service animals have. Again, this had never happened before in all the time my girlfriend had him. We have had so many wonderful nights together up at that bar with the dog in our company. So why there had to be an incident that night I'm not sure... but I am sure that the guards working that night are seriously unqualified for their position and showed a disturbing lack of respect for both their patrons and the law.

So much fun. The bar is hopping with great music and memorable entertainment. The bar help is awesome and the atmosphere is electric.

We took our boat over to Davis Park for lunch and happen to go into the Casino Bar and Grill. It was kid friendly, people were friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered a cold Lobster Roll and my husband got an Ahi Tuna wrap. I don't like my lobster rolls with too much mayo and this one was just that. I didn't get a chance to ask my husband how his wrap was because it was already gone. They had corn hole for the kids to play with and after lunch we walked right down to the ocean.

Honestly the worst steak I've ever had. THE worst! Calamari - chewy. Mashed potato tastes like paper. Chicken skewers - cardboard. Clams - fishy. The only semi ok thing was the bruschetta. Horrible. I should mention it was a pre fixe menu, so it's possible that if u order a la carte, it'll be ok. But I wouldn't bet on it. Nice views of the beach though.

Amazing view from outdoor deck of the Casino Cafe

First of all, I'm not sure why this restaurant is under the category of "casinos", since it is not a gambling establishment. With that being said, the Casino Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants which I try to visit at least once every year. It is only one of two oceanfront restaurants on all of Fire Island, and the only restaurant in Davis Park. Therefore, with the spectacular view and captive market, the food could be mediocre and the place would still probably be packed! Fortunately, that is not the case as the restaurant consistently produces high quality food with excellent service. The items on the standard menu are excellent in their own right, however, there is a list of nightly specials that are always fresh and creative. The Oysters Rockefeller is my all time favorite appetizer. I have tried this dish at various restaurants throughout the East coast and have never been able to find one that compares. I have never been disappointed with fresh fish selections and scallops. Whether chosen as an entree or appetizer they are always cooked to perfection and never disappoint. As a gluten free diner, I was pleased to see some gluten free options on the menu. However, the servers are always happy to check with the chef to see if any of the other dishes can be modified, and the chef is always happy to oblige if it is possible. When the weather is good, outdoor seating on the deck is highly recommended. There is no better way to enjoy a meal than with the sound of waves gently crashing in the background. If weather doesn't permit, eating in the ocean view dining room is recommended during daylight hours. However, the bay view dining room is perfect for watching the sunset and gazing at the lights on and across the bay as night falls. The restaurant bar area is always hopping with a slightly older crowd and the bartenders are extremely friendly and competent. The Casino Bar is right next door and draws a somewhat younger crowd. Various entertainment events such as live bands, DJ, karaoke and trivia are scheduled. During the day it's a great place to walk up from the beach to grab a refreshing cocktail, sit back, and enjoy this special place in paradise.

I recall the rocket fuel drink as having more alcohol last year but it seems to be a crowd favorite. They food selection is mostly typical bar food. We ordered the chicken tenders, fries and hotdogs. I was very happy with the hotdog, it had a nice charred flavor. The fries were seasoned well and crispy. The Vidalia onion soup was honestly the best onion soup I've ever had, and I'm a huge onion soup fan. The crab cake bites were among the best crab cakes I've had anywhere, which is saying a lot because I've spent years searching for great crab cakes. I also loved the maple bacon mac and cheese, which struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory. My daughter enjoyed the Georgia wings and sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive. I had the Georgia-themed Old Fashioned, while my daughter tried the Guy Fieri-inspired Georgia margarita. Both were creative, well-balanced, and memorable. As a mobility disabled person, accessibility is always important to me, and Roadtrip did very well. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant with an accessible route to the entrance. The only thing keeping it from a perfect accessibility score is the lack of automatic doors. Food: 11/10 Cocktails: 10/10 Accessibility: 9/10 Roadtrip Bayshore earns my highest recommendation. The menu and food were excellent, there's truly something for everyone. We opted for the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, and our entrees were the Brisket Horseradish Stack and the Blue Summit Burger. The service was great - the wait staff, attentive. What unfortunately has left a lasting impression and may be the reason I don't go back is they're okay, and likely encourage (based on their IG) content creators to visit. I understand in this day and age, exposure means everything. Getting a viral video could mean the definition of sink or swim in a competitive industry. What's not okay is having content creators with their bright lights blinding the patrons next to them. Having a bright camera light shone in our faces several times through our dinner soured the experience. I hope in the future the staff, and the owner (who was there), are more conscious of the dining experience for others.

Onto my meal, I got the filet taco, boom shrimp taco, and the hot honey chicken. They were all so delicious and yummy, I can tell they took their time creating each taco into a masterpiece. I loved the boom shrimp the most, then the hot honey, and then the filet taco the least, but all of these were so delicious I loved it! The boom shrimp is a delicious trip into the savory tastes of shrimp and the sea. I loved the addition of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and avocados, drizzled in ranch. The filet taco is a great feast of filet steak and crispy crunchy onions. Lastly the hot honey chicken was great with purple lettuce, corn, pickles, and more fresh delicious veggies. I loved all the tacos so much and if I come back to the area I'd definitely come back, a must go to! Service/ambiance: First off the waiters came to us quickly with a nice refreshing water pitcher with lemons. It was a nice day out but not too hot, inside was nice and cool with the ac but not too cold, a nice balance. Not too loud of a place but nice and chill with a light speaker with music playing in the background. This in my opinion is a huge upgrade to the last location in Northport, this is much bigger and it looks cleaner. Something that stood out to me was that there was no men's sign on the bathroom, but there was on the ladies. I don't know if they're discriminated or something, but that was something, but besides that the bathrooms were very squeaky clean.

Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues. Service, however, can be extremely hit or miss. I feel like 4 stars is appropriate because most of the time, it's a hit -- but when it's a miss, you almost feel abandoned at your table... The couple of times this has happened, the server was also very rude. Again, 90% of the time, really great and wonderful service experience, too. Additionally, it can get very loud in the restaurant and I'm relatively soft-spoken, so it can be very difficult for me to communicate with the servers. The experience at the bar has always been so lovely. Both the outdoor patio and indoor seating... Great vibe, great lighting. I've dined here enough, solo and in groups, to have had all of the following: To sip: - Espresso Martini: Very good espresso martinis here! - Manhattan: Classic. Great. - Agave Club: Good, sweet (as expected). - Socialite: Good. They make a good, classic Negroni and the red wine offerings are good. I'm not a huge CA wine person, but their Chianti on the menu from Italy is good. Must be medium-high in sulfite levels though because I do tend to get a little stuffy... but that's ok. :) To eat: - Burrata: Delicious but you really cannot go wrong here. - Charcuterie Board: Great to share. - Rock Shrimp Bao Buns: Ordered once. I continue to do without. They are really good but for me, personally, there's better on the menu. - Oysters: Basic but delicious selection. I just love oysters. - Organic Scottish Salmon: Very good. - Black Pot Mussels - Manieri: Amazing mussels and that white wine to accompany... Perfect. - Hanger Steak: Yum. - Greens and Quinoa Salad: Love it, very sesame-forward. If you do not like sesame, do not order. If you love it, go for it. - Spicy Lobster Fettucini: This is SO. GOOD. Have ordered this several times... Once, I had it two nights in a row dining in and I love it every time. Really good pasta dish and the amount of lobster is generous and the delicate flavor, surprisingly, does not get lost. Always plated beautifully. To end: - Caramel Brioche: REALLY great dessert; decadent. - Ricotta Cheesecake Brûlée: Amazing. The blueberry marmalade is so good.

We were told they had a great bingo night and fantastic food and drinks. That proved to be an excellent recommendation. The Wayward is located in the heart of the quaint village of Sayville. It is a spacious establishment with a large bar, plenty of tables as well as booth seating . We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender Brian. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink choices. He took the time to note our preferences within the dishes offered. It was apparent to us that Brian and the 2nd bartender Meg were extremely hard working, friendly and efficient. We started with a few drinks. Nothing fancy. I had a rum & coke and my wife went with Prosecco. Both were good. For dinner I went with gnocchi with chicken sausage in a pink cream sauce Absolutely fantastic! The kicker was the large dollop of fresh mozzarella on top. My wife chose the Chicken Milanese with roasted potatoes . She noted that the chicken was pan seared, breaded , moist and delicious. She opted to get it without the tomatoes and onions that accompany it. The potatoes were amazing. (I snagged a few so I can confirm this!) Deliciously seasoned, crispy on the outside moist and creamy on the inside. The bingo was also great! Chris was a great host. The prizes were great , although we didn't win anything. All in all a great night! A pleasant change of pace . We fully recommend The Wayward whether it for bingo night or dinner and drinks . Fantastic atmosphere, great food, great service.

Starting off with drinks, I had tried their gingerbread old fashioned and their boozy coquito. The old fashioned was nothing special, but I did enjoy the little gingerbread man it came with. The coquito on the other hand was very tasty, albeit a little bit boozier than I expected, but I don't often mind a heavy pour. For entrees, I had their signature burger and tried a bite of my girlfriend's steak sandwich, and she definitely came out the winner. Burger was good, but nothing that made it standout much from other good smash burgers. The steak sandwich though was cooked well and didn't all just pull out on the first bite, which to me is the key indicator of a good steak sandwich! Was overall a nice dinner and I'd certainly like to comeback and try more of the menu and I've often been tempted to stop by for their bingo nights, they always seem to have awesome prizes.
