Great pizza, wonderful atmosphere and perfect for a party of 12 which we had tonight. We brought wine and they had a very inexpensive corkage fee, plus sells great wine and beer. Awesome pizza, good salads, meatball sandwiches, etc. Perfect for a large party, just put three tables together in the front window. We even brought a birthday cake and they were super accommodating and cut it for us, which was very nice. Will definitely be back soon! Much improved location from the tiny place across from the pier. That was great for grabbing a slice, but this is perfect for a night out with family or friends. Good job Cassanos! read more

The food made us come back because it is so delicious! Both times we were here Erin was our server and she is very attentive A++ service. I don't think you could order wrong here. The menu is small but they obviously know how to do what they do. I was shocked by the prices. I hadn't realized the value. For the size and quality of the dishes I would expect to pay much more. I go to Cassanos about once a week and have been eating their pizza for 5 years and there is nothing like it! They have the best pizza in SoCal and their customer service is always 5star. Ordered a pizza for the first time last night. I am from Chicago and New york so I know what a good pizza is like. I got a Sausage and green pepper thin crust pizza. It was amazing. The crust was terrific, the sauce very tasty, and the sausage was perfect. I had it delivered and they told me it would be 30-45 minutes. The delivery boy showed up in 25 minutes. The pie was cooked to perfection---just the right amount of browning and crispness. The delivery boy was great--clean cut and very polite. I will be ordering again--however it wont be as many times as i would like to--as the price is a little steep. I had a medium pie with 2 toppings and it cost $20--plus tip. read more

Ordered take out and delivery for the first time and was willing to wait the estimated 60 minuets for our order. To our surprise they delivered within 30 minuets with a delicious hot pizza and crisp Caesar salad. Perfection !! Delivery person was nice and courteous, so refreshing. A friend took us to Cassano's for lunch after church and we never would have imagined this little hidden treasure would be comparable to a high end five star restaurant. My son and I are picky foodies and he said this was the best meal he's ever eaten. Even better than mine. We split the Tortellini and Chicken Parmigiana sandwich and they were absolutely delicious. The helpings were so generous, we have enough leftovers for dinner. This is the best Italian food in San Clemente by far. The atmosphere was cozy and modern, the service was awesome and the cook Shea might look a little rough around the edges but the guy is as sweet as can be and he can seriously cook. Bravo Cassano's for bringing reasonably priced, high quality Italian food to our little city. I would give you six stars if I could. read more

The pizza and service is just as good -if better- as it was when it was by the pier. The atmosphere is rustic yet still has a touch of San Clemente to it. The owner is friendly, the staff is awesome, and the food is delicious. It's the only place I eat pizza. read more

Tonight I was in need of a fantastic salad ( Their pizza is THE BEST!) . I stopped by Cassano's ALONE. Wow! I was met by a hug by the Owners, sat at the bar and was immediately greeted with a smile and a hug from the amazing bartender Tiffany. I had heard that this place has great pizza from a couple people so I had to stop by. The space is large and new and lacks that pizza shop feeling, almost too clean. My pizza was decent but very greasy. They sell slices but they are in the back out of sight, which is fine just different from what I'm used to, most pizza shops that sell slices have them out on display. Makes me wonder if they just reheat cold pre made pizza. The place is silent, not a single tink coming from the kitchen. This is a stretch but it feels like a fake restaurant that is bought for some spoiled kid by their parents to make them feel accomplished. There are staff members just sitting there texting, without a sense of hospitality or warmth. Price was fair for what I received, nothing more. Lacks identity or character. Half crappy wine bar meets boring uninspired Italian take out. There are way better spots for a pie in the area. read more

We have Cassanos 1 or 2 times a month. We are locals. Sat Oct 1 we ordered med pizza w/4 toppings$20.00. for pickup at 9:30. 1 1/4 hour wait. My wife got it home. We founf that 2 of 4 items missing- sausage & mushrooms. Called manager and was promised replacement or credit. Nothing happened. I hate being patronized. Pizza was the worst ever. This place is great! Ordered a pizza to go and the staff was very friendly! While I waited for my pizza the hostess offered me a glass of water and told me to sit wherever I liked. The decor is pretty neat and the ambiance is very laid back and has a family feel. Pizza didn't take very long and was piping hot! Got home and it was pretty good. This was our first time to the new Cassanos location and we were more than impressed. The menu had an extensive selection and they obviously put a lot of money into the decor.
