Sadly, the last few times the bagels havent been toasted the best. The toaster oven broke. So I had to take my bagel home to toast it. The next day no issues... but then I realized they bought a toaster. Which is the reason why everything is running so slow! Yesterday I went and my bagel was barely toasted - and they forgot the butter. I think I need to take a break... maybe they can get their toaster oven fixed. It really makes the difference.

I was really excited to visit this new location and it didn't disappoint. The food was great and made very fast! The service was nice and welcoming. My egg sandwich with chive was delicious! I do wish they had the bagel bombs available at this location. The inside was very cute and well decorated.

Good tasting breakfast bagels but parking is kinda tricky if you've never been here before. Some people park on the street right in front but they also have a lot in the back. Anyways, Joe's Special had a unique twist with the lemon pepper and jalapeño cream cheese on top of the bacon and egg! I'm biased but their jalapeño cheddar bagel is the best and it's not that spicy but had good flavor. Will be back for another quick breakfast!

    Studebaker with large iced tea

As a fan of Cassidy corners bagels I was super excited that they were joining the Whittier community. They didn't disappoint! Parking is on the street and I imagine can get tricky when they're busy. I ordered a studebaker and a passion iced tea. I opted to get it with the agave syrup for 50cents more but I don't think I'll do that again. I didn't care for the flavor. It was still good and refreshing. The bagel Sando was bomb! I only ate half cause it was a lot. I got it with a tomato basil bagel. They had run out of a lot of bagel options by the time I got there around 12pm so go early so you have your pick. They have some seating options inside and outdoors. The team working was friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be going back! Welcome to Whittier Cassidy's! So glad you're here!

Ordered the Joe's special with an Asiago bagel. Loved it! Super flavorful and the bagel had the perfect chew. I kinda wish I chose jalapeño cheddar too but I was worried it would be too much jalapeño - but it wasn't!

    Where's the $2.25 cream cheese??
    Susana D.

I'm going to give this place another chance. The everything bagel was salty!!! Too salty I can feel myself bitting into the salt. $2.25 for cream cheese!!!? Are you serious it barely had anything on my bagel The coffee 12oz was $3 Plain coffee, no room to add your sugar or creamer on the counter because as you're trying to do so there's people behind you trying to get their order. Service was good. Can they not cut bagel? Can you give me my cream cheese on the side option I'm not okay with $2.25 for just cream cheese and $3+ on bagels that's crazy Place was packed no room to sit down because the line and people waiting were everywhere

Visited today on their first day of soft opening the cafe. So happy that the community came out to support a new business. Line was long but the vibe was cool with a DJ and coffee samples. The restaurant was clean and table were bussed very quickly. Service was about 10 mins after I ordered. Staff was super nice and friendly. Food was ok. Ingredients tasted fresh. Bagels were soft on the inside and nicely toasted on the outside Coffee was ok too. I wish them the best .

I visited after seeing several TikTok reviews praising the bagels and coffee. We arrived around 11:30 a.m., and the only bagels available were plain and blueberry. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, but the spread was uneven and very light on one side. The coffee tasted like it was made from a powdered mix, and the passion tea tasted more like regular tea than passion tea. The employee who helped me was very friendly and allowed me to exchange the tea, which I appreciated. However, I was concerned when it appeared the returned drink was set aside after I had already taken a sip. Overall, the customer service was pleasant, but the food and drinks did not meet the expectations I had based on the reviews.

"NEW BAGEL IN TOWN!!!!" What can I say! It's bagel and delicious. Quality and portion size are excellent. I couldn't finish the bagel sandwich because it's "big". The sandwich is warm, flavorful, and fulfilling. One bite of bagel and one sip of coffee is the most satisfying feeling ever. They have been soft opening for a month. There was a line but the wait time is about 10 minutes which is not bad at all. I will definitely go back again.

Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese and the 421 coffee drink

I've been waiting for this place to open for over a year. Every time I drove by it I would see the sign outside, but the windows boarded up. Now it's officially open and I'm so happy. I tried the Asaggio bagel with plain cream cheese and the 421 coffee drink. It was delicious. The bagel was soft and crispy around the edges. Cream cheese was warm and yummy. I can't wait to come back and try a bagel sandwich. All the items on the menu look delicious.

    Entrance on Whittier blvd

I have visited this Cassidy's Corner Cafe in Whittier a few times now and I have to say that compared to a couple others I've been to and other local spots that this one has a warm atmosphere, is inviting, and beautifully designed with some true character and identity making it a great place to grab breakfast, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a good cup of coffee. The vibes here really make it stand out! The bagels are fresh, delicious, and have the perfect texture, and the coffee and specialty drinks did not disappoint. You can tell they care about the quality of everything they serve. What really stands out, though, is the staff. Everyone I've interacted with has been genuinely kind, welcoming, and appreciative, even when they're incredibly busy. They're always greeting you with a smile, and you can see the owners themselves are working hard just like the rest of their staff. I, for one, really appreciate that! They're still a newer café, and because they've become so popular so quickly, there's almost always a line. Like any new business, they're still finding their rhythm, but you can see how hard everyone works to make each visit a great experience and the fact that they're consistently busy says a lot! As for parking, it's a small local café on a major street in Whittier, so don't expect a huge private lot. Street parking is available, and you may have a short walk around the corner, but it's well worth it. Honestly, I'd much rather take a 1 minute walk to support an amazing local business than skip out because I couldn't park right in front. As far as the food, I've had the joes special which I highly recommend for a good filling breakfast! The desi is a lighter version. I've also tried the Cassidy's club, lox, and California (I've purchased 2 at once and had the lunch later in the day and shared with friends) and they were all great! Mine were definitely made with love and attention and kept me full throughout the afternoon! I've tried both signature drinks as well as a couple others and I think they're great. I like to have those as a special treat. I usually get a basic latte with 2 shots of espresso and that never fails, the espresso is delicious! I've talked to several customers who agree that this is a wonderful addition to the Whittier community, and I can't wait to watch them continue to grow. Definitely worth checking out!

Breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon on onion bagel.

Good selection of bagels but get there early! They sell out fast. One of the best onion bagels I've had! Excited to try the rest of the menu.

Desi bagel with extra egg. No bacon. Blended Mocha coffee with two shots of espresso YUM!
    Clory P.

Great Service! I ordered the Desi Bagel with extra egg. Comes with egg whites but I also added extra egg with the yolk. No bacon. The jalapeño' cream cheese is my favorite. Wish it was a little spicier but still my favorite. The blended coffee is mocha flavor with oat milk and two shots of espresso. Perfect for warmer weather. The staff is friendly and if I needed anything they were quick to help me. Especially if my order was missing something, they took care of it right away. The location has plenty of parking. The wait wasn't long and this is my 3rd time coming since their first day of their soft opening.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. Overall, nice local joint for a peaceful weekend or vacation breakfast. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Will be back sometime.

Their moles are definitely worth trying. We've had the mole negro and the mole pipián, and both were delicious. The mole negro is a little sweeter, while the pipián has more spice. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. They need a little more staffing so the service can be as good as everything else.
