Horrible !! This cava location needs to be shut down! I have tried reaching out to customer service for the past two days and they are thief's! I ordered a chicken grains and greens bowl. To go home and there was NO chicken in my bowl. I paid for this item and Cava incompetent employees did not give me what i ordered. I ordered ahead it ahead of time through the app so i figured i shouldn't have to fish around my bowl to make sure cava did their job. Also!! The garlic sauce was watery and spoiled. I legit almost vomited when seeing this. I need someone to contact me immediately as i was completely robbed! I paid $15 for food and i was not able to eat it. Happened upon this place on its opening day--I take it it's a bit of a chain, but I'm unfamiliar with it. Seems like a Mediterranean twist on your basic fast/casual lunch spot where you build your own salad/bowl, which is a concept I can get behind. Your base can be salad, grain bowl, or mix of both (or you can go pita sandwich), upon which you can choose a protein. I love the less-common options they offer (e.g., black lentil as a grain; falafel, lamb meatball or seasonal vegetable as a protein), topped by a seemingly endless array of sides. On the plus side, this strikes me as healthier than many places in this burgeoning genre--I got seasonal fall veggies (Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, cauliflower) on top of a salad/grain bowl (black lentil, natch). You can top this with up to three dips and as many toppings as you like--mostly in that Mediterranean wheelhouse (e.g., hummus, olives, cucumber, feta). In theory all flavors I love, but I actually found the number of options here a bit overwhelming, and think I kind of overdid it with the toppings. Which does make you feel like you got your money's worth, but think I expected to enjoy it a bit more than I did. Seems like the kind of place where it's better to have an idea of what you want/like before arriving. I'm looking forward to giving it another shot to see if I can find that winning combo. read more

I had to write this review after seeing the kindness of CAVA's employee TAY. Whenever I need to eat outside in my lunchtime I usually get CAVA as that's my safest go to food. I love CAVA and today it became more special. What happened was, I had to wait for falafels to get ready and I was patiently waiting and it took quite sometime but which was perfectly fine as I can understand they need to prepare and it takes time. But what I witnessed today their generosity. really wanted to appreciate TAY and her generosity. I would encourage all and be patient and to be respectful as people will appreciate you and give back as one way other. This location is too mediocre considering all the food options in the area, I got a simple bowl, rice was not even warm, looks like it was thrown together by a toddler, planned for a pickup time of 12pm but it seems that means 12:05pm with their clocks, also then had to wait a few more minutes for forks to be restocked, only reason I didn't give just 1 star is the falafels were very good read more

I'm not the type of person to really try new food places. I rotate three comfort restaurants and I've always been happy with them. My best friend recommended me cava and at first, I was skeptical. After weeks of pushing and begging, I finally gave in. I stopped by on my way home from work for some dinner and I couldn't believe the respect and kindness I was met with when I entered. I didn't know the names of many of the condiments and toppings there and was confused about what I would like. The employees there were really nice to me and showed so much patience. I left the store feeling good and got home and really enjoyed the food. The Honey chicken protein was tender and delicious and the yogurt dill sauce (recommended to me by the employees) gave my food just the right touch. This place is definitely becoming a regular for me! I have been to this CAVA location three times but tonight was my last. This location has employees with the worst attitudes towards customers, unsanitary practices, and never has all of the toppings, sauces, grains, pita or even protein. Today's visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. When I walked in there was a line of 3 people before me waiting to begin their order. There were 5 employees "on the floor" behind the glass: 1 at the cash register, 1 down at the sauces, and 3 restocking salad.. Every time I come here I have to practically beg for someone to take my order. The line will get longer and longer and the employees talk to each other acting as if you are invisible. And then once they finally talk to you, they make it very clear that they don't like people and/or wish you weren't even there. Today, the woman picked up a bowl and just looked up at me without saying a word.. no hello, no green or grains?, nothing (and this was after I waited 5+ minutes for someone to acknowledge me). We're going down the line, today (6 PM on a Thursday) they were "out of" black lentils, falafel, pickled onions, and greek vinegarette. In the past they've been out of pita, harissa, superfood greens, I mean you name it they don't have it. So I'm finally almost out of the store (thank God) down at the sauces when the woman serving me grabbed the pita bread that I asked for with my meal from under my bowl and handed it to the cashier to add to the woman in front of me's order.. I told her that pita was with my order and she said "Okay?? She'll get you a new one." So then I move on to tell her which sauce I'd like, I was only able to get the name of 1 sauce out before she put the lid on my bowl. I told her that I wasn't finished with the sauces when she said "She'll finish you," (assuming she meant the cashier because she didn't point to anyone), and slid my closed bowl down to the cashier without communicating to her that I wasn't finished. This particular woman has serviced me twice before and every time she does she is absolutely miserable. On a previous occasion there was a strand of hair on the silver counter literally in between the lamb and chicken containers. When I informed the same woman of the very obvious hair, she picked it up with her gloves threw it behind her back and asked me "what do you want? (as my protein)" without changing her gloves or apologizing. Today, I walk out of the store, open my bag and to my surprise the lid was not closed shut on my bowl so some of my food spilled out into my bag. Then, I mix up my bowl to eat it and prepare to take a bite when I see a strand of black hair twirled around my fork. Unbelievable. I'm not sure if CAVAs are independently owned but every visit to that location is so miserable and off-brand, even worse experiences than the McDonalds across from Madison Sq Garden (hard to beat). read more

I came here for lunch as it was right around the corner. I've been to CAVA before in DC and started to see them pop up left and right in the city. The lunch line is ridiculous as it wraps up and down the shop. It probably took me a good 20 minutes from waiting in line, ordering my food, and paying for it. I guess it's everyone's go to spot for lunch. The food is pretty good. I have to say it's a lot better than Chipotle. The staff do their best to make your food quickly and efficient. How they don't mess up is beyond me. I'd come back again when there isn't a nice big line wrapped around the shop. read more

So as an avid foodie. I look for quality cleanliness and a warm inviting decor. I have been to CAVA locations in China town Washington DC. And Chelsea NYC. The spaces were well kept in all locations. My issues with CAVA are. The amount of meat given to customers who purchase bowls that are close to $20 dollars. It's almost as if the CAVA cooperate office trains their employees to serve as less meat as possible. I get it that the economy and prices are up across the board for products and foods. But CaVa must realize that without the customers there would be no business to come to. Please do better with portion size at all of your locations. Maybe set a fair standard amount of meat. For these expensive bowls. My other issue is with the pre made fountain juices. In the DC location as well as NYC Chelsea location the fountain beverages have had a spoiled taste especially the blueberry flavored drink. Not sure if the juices are turned around on a regular basis. But drinks that sit should be refreshed monitored and replaced frequently. In closing this is one of my new favorite places to grab a quick healthy meal. Please work on the amount of meat portions provided to consumers paying that price for a bowl. read more
