After a morning hike with my best friend, we decided to stop by CAVA in Whittier, and I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with exceptional customer service from Angie. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel valued as customers. It's not every day that you come across someone who is not only friendly but also takes the time to make your experience feel personal and enjoyable. As for the food it was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. After working up an appetite on the trail, this meal hit the spot. The ingredients were vibrant, the portions were generous, and every bite was packed with flavor. Ambiance inside was a 10/10 but it was a nice day so we decided to eat outside. Between the outstanding food and Angie's wonderful customer service, this visit exceeded our expectations. Employees like Angie are the reason customers come back. We'll definitely be returning to this Whittier location soon!

Chicken lentils and super green ! The best food I've already lost 20 pounds with only one bowl. Just kidding but I had a big bowel movement after eating all the shkug. Great service the gentleman filled my bowl to the rim with toppings. The vibe was cool. I appreciate the hardworking staff.

Cava in Whittier is a great option if you're craving Mediterranean flavors in a casual, Chipotle-style setting. You can build your own pita, bowl, or salad with lots of tasty options, and the portions are generous. We ordered the steak + feta pita and it was huge--my husband loved it! I went with the steak + harissa bowl and added pickled onions last minute (highly recommend). There's a fridge stocked with bottled drinks along with the usual fountain sodas and juices. We visited during the Saturday lunch rush, but the line moved quickly and the service was friendly. Only downside: the drink machine was out of ice, even after our meal, which was a letdown on a warm day. Otherwise, everything was delicious, and we'll definitely be back!

This Cava location is in a busy plaza with a shared storefront parking spots, along with a bigger parking area by Stater Brothers. There are lots of cars hazarding to do pick ups so just beware. As for the food, I ordered their make your own bowl with half saffron basmati rice and half supergreens. My protein was chicken and roasted vegetables, with tzatziki and hummus dips. For toppings, you can go crazy, but I usually get roasted corn, pita crisps, cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled onions, and lemon herb tahini for dressing. The bowl itself is very filling and healthy. They have tables inside and outside.

This CAVA location is great. Love being able to come here for a quick lunch during work. They are pretty consistent every time I go and the ingredients seem fresh. Their bowls are also not overly doused in dressing nor skimping out quantity wise like some other locations (*cough cough* Irvine).

This bowl was so good! I got just a Basmati rice base with Spicy lamb meatballs, harissa honey chicken, sweet potatoes, corn, and extra broccoli! For the dips I chose Crazy Feta, Red Pepper Hummus(for a lil spice to the bowl) and Tzatziki which all mixed super well. For the dress I chose the garlic dressing and that topped it off well! Would recommend this place for a fresher meal than most!

My 1/2 roasted veggies, 1/2 falafel build your own bowl. Yum!

My partner is a big fan of Cava so he really wanted me to give it a try. After several visits now I feel compelled to write my review-- I absolutely love this place! The food is great and good quality. My go-to is definitely the build your own bowl so I can add exactly what I want. And we absolutely love love love their pita chips-- delicious! Service has always been great at this location and would definitely recommend over their neighbor, Chipotle any day.

This place is very close to work , so it's very convenient to order on the app. They do a honest work when it comes to making their orders on time I truly appreciate that. Although , parking in that shopping center is a nightmare . To be honest The food has so much flavor, tastes come together in such ways that makes the meal so wholesome! As a vegetarian , my favorite part about this whole experience is how full I get with great value of vitamins/protein/fiber. Makes me happy that I not only get great flavors in my pallet but worth the meal cost.

Stood in line at 7pm on a Saturday and they didn't have 5 different items and when I asked more were going to be made since they are open until til 10:45 they stated,"no we are busy". With two vegan proteins and not having both is unacceptable. I understand if they were somehow just out in general but using the excuse it's busy with 7 people I can visually see on the floor is insane. read more

I love cava & enjoy the food whenever I'm craving it. I order through the app all the time for pick up & one thing is my food is never ready at the pick up time. I always end up waiting an extra 15-25 past the pick up time. I've watched my bowl just sit there while they help customers walking in super busy or not. read more

Was there tonight for dinner. Food was ahhmazingly good. Restaurant just opened yesterday so the wait was very long about 30 mins. I had a bowl with chicken and lamb meatballs. Price was not bad . $11.75 a bowl is decent. Omg you must get the pita chip. The crunch and texture were amazingly good. Definitely will be a returning customer. Enjoy :) read more

The employees need a bit of training in the happy department. Very rude and they speak so low u can hardly even hear what they are saying. Very unprepared and not attentive to customers coming in. They forgot about drinks, and sides multiple times, had to go back in 2 times to get what they forgot. One of the younger girls had an attitude problem and seemed so unhappy to do her job. I come by here pretty often because of their impeccable taste, quality and service. I used to go to that chipotle next door almost every Sunday & remember when they announced cava was opening I was so excited to try. From the first time I've been there to the most recent, the staff has always been extremely friendly with helping me with the menu. They even gave me samples which was super nice. The food portions are always perfect, I can usually get 2 meals out of 1 bowl. It's always busy when I go but they never fail to be kind & helpful. The space isn't large but it's a good place to have some yummy, build your own Mediterranean meals with friends. My favorite things to get in my bowl are the honey harissa chicken, feta, pita crisps & you must get the side of pita chips!! I've tried other cava locations and this one is by far the best!! read more

I love the food here, but service was terrible. I ordered 5 bowls to-go for my family and they wouldn't give any lids or a bag. They claimed the lids and a bag were only for online orders. I was by myself picking them up and I don't know how they expected me to get them to my car. They literally kept telling me no and kind strangers who overheard helped me get the bowls to my car. i love mediterranean food & this place always looks busy so i decided to give it a try! i went with the build your own grains bowl & it wasn't what i expected. everything looked good & right up my alley but it just didn't hit the spot. i made employees aware it was my first time there since i was taking sometime choosing my dips / toppings but they weren't of any help with recommendations. i stood at the cashier for awhile with my bowl sitting there & no one putting a lid on it or ringing me up. they also didn't give me the pita bread that comes with the bowl. (i love pita bread) unfortunately i won't be returning. read more

I mentioned it might be could to include this on their website that the dining room closes at 8pm not just that they closed at 9pm since we walked 3 miles to get here, in order to get some exercise; he just glared at me. No exception, no accommodation, no apology. Please be better, we looked your food and wanted to treat our friends. Plus my husband ordered Lamb and we're pet sure he got steak. Shout out to Mike's Classic Burgers on our way home for welcoming us to eat at their tables! We'll come here next time ;)

Buffet Lovers May Enjoy This One, But It Wasn't Quite Our Flavor…read more Hubby and I were on the hunt for a new spot to try and stumbled upon this Mediterranean buffet while browsing Yelp. First things first -- plenty of parking in the plaza, so no need to circle around hunting for a spot. We arrived around 3:30 PM, and since weekday lunch pricing is $21.99 per person from 11 AM-4 PM, we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess kindly allowed us to stay through the transition until 4:30 PM before dinner pricing kicked in. That was definitely appreciated! The ambience is what you'd expect from a buffet: open, spacious, and filled with plenty of tables for larger groups and families. Now onto the food... One thing I really enjoyed was the impressive selection of appetizers and dips. There were several varieties of hummus including spicy hummus, avocado hummus, baba ghanoush, along with a sauce station featuring tahini, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. If you're a dip-and-spread person, you'll probably be pretty happy here. They also had multiple rice options and a variety of proteins. Most of the selections consisted of different styles of chicken, along with fried fish and grilled fish. I believe the lamb shank is only offered during dinner service or on weekends, so unfortunately we missed out on that. As for the food itself, this is where the experience became a little mixed for us. While there were certainly a lot of choices, many of the dishes felt surprisingly similar, and overall the food lacked the bold Mediterranean flavors we were hoping for. Most items were fairly mild and a bit bland for our taste. Nothing tasted bad, but very little stood out enough to make us want to go back for seconds. For dessert, they offered baklava, pistachio rice pudding, and a few other sweet treats, which was a nice way to end the meal. Service, however, was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, so I'd easily give the service 5/5 stars. Overall, I landed at 3 out of 5 stars. I appreciate the buffet concept, the variety, and the wonderful service, but for hubby and me, flavor is king. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have enough seasoning or wow factor to make us want to return for a second visit. I lifted the bread and there was a measly morsel of chicken, considering the price of a Panini; I was expecting a bit more! The chicken soup was horrible. It tasted like water with hardly any broth. They threw in random vegetables with dry shredded pieces of chicken, my other guests who had chicken soup also disliked the quality and taste of the soup. Poor selection of drinks. Overall, poor service, bland food. When it was time to pay our waiter didn't show up so I walked to the front and asked for the bill then paid there. For almost 200$ this was a disaster; I will look into other Mediterranean restaurants.

She ordered the Steak & Harissa Bowl along with a side of Harissa pita chips, no drink included. Our total came to just under $25. The food itself was excellent. The bowl was flavorful, well-prepared, and offered a nice balance of protein, grains, and fresh toppings. The Harissa pita chips were crisp, seasoned well, and paired nicely with the bowl. From a quality and taste perspective, CAVA delivers on freshness and bold Mediterranean-inspired flavors. The staff at this location were also polite, attentive, and helpful, which made the ordering process smooth. My only hesitation lies in the pricing. Nearly $25 for a single bowl and side (without a beverage) feels excessive for a fast-casual dining experience. While the food and service met expectations, the value proposition is questionable when compared to other options in the same category. Visited Cava Whittier for dinner on a Wednesday night and outside dinning was FULL due to a family having a kids birthday party on the patio tables, but the inside was not busy at all.......NO LINE. We were greeted with a friendly "Welcome!" by the staff as we entered. Guy got our bowls started and provided excellent customer service down the line while Mariah and Bella continued with smiles on their faces and made sure we got our freshly made warm Pita Chips.....DELICIOUS!!! All of the juices were full, but their Blueberry Lavender was low/empty, but Guillermo refilled it so customers like us could mix it up with some lemonade. We did notice a lot of customers coming in and quickly leaving with their bright yellow bag(s), so that gal (Yvonne/Yvette???) was working fast on those orders and getting them out quickly!!! Another great tasting bowl with delicious pita chips and a mixture of their juices in one cup!!! Just bring in a heavy sweater because Cava Whittier's air conditioner works very well and does get very cold indoors. read more

I had one of the worst experiences at Kava. Compared to competitors like Sweet Greens, this place falls short in every way. The portion sizes are ridiculously small, and they charge extra for everything--even basic toppings. The options are limited, and worst of all, the staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. It's shocking that this business is still running with such poor service and overpriced, underwhelming food. Other places like Sweet Greens and even Chipotle offer far better value, quality, and customer experience. Kava is simply not worth your time or money. If you're looking for a decent salad bar, go somewhere that actually respects its customers. read more

I used to be a big fan of Cava, but lately, I've noticed a significant decrease in the amount of food they're putting into the bowls. It's not as much as before, and I'm not sure if I'll be returning. To make matters worse, the last time I ordered takeout from this location, they forgot my pita breads, which was really disappointing when I got home. On the positive side, I do appreciate the customization options they offer, which are similar to Chipotle. This is one of my favorite places, but this particular location needs a bit of work. I'm assuming it's cause it's new & the staff just needs more training... but every time I come, the chicken is BURNT. Last time I was in line and I literally just watched as the chicken sat on the grill the entire time and literally not one person touched them. They got so burnt! HOLY COW!! Cava is the real deal! My friend has been trying to convince me to ditch chipotle for cava and I was super ignorant and stubborn. Chipotle was my favorite for such a long time.
