Suffolk County is running a scam with these collisions. They forced my car to be towed here after I asked to use a different auto Ify shop. Then they try to trick you or correct you to sign paperwork. They charge exorbitant storage fees and don't contact the owners. those who they've forced store their car also get charged another fee even if they don't repair your car. Additionally make sure you get everything out of your car before they take it, 'cause they will take what's inside. Lastly, like the mafia They will hold your tags hostage to settle up?!? read more

This place can be defined as "top of the line" and "the best" when it comes to body shops and auto detailing, they service their customers with courtesy, professionalism, and precision when it comes to getting the job done efficiently and in a speedy fashion. My mom had a car accident, thank god it was only a fender bender, but the front grill, bumper, and both lights were wrecked, and we wanted to get the work done since the car was only a year or so old. We had a different shop originally, which is currently closed, and we got referred over to Harry at Cavalier, and we went to check it out. Harry had a great presence when working with us. Straight up, to the point, friendly, and has a sense of taking care of his customers. My mom was super pleased with the way she was treated, the price came in at something she was very happy with, and they got the new parts in and finished the job, cleaned the car like it was brand new, and had her ready to go a day earlier then expected! 5 stars. And I'm back again (ugh). There are so many great things I can say about this place. As you can see it's not my first time at this body shop but this went from a panic experience to a great experience thanks to Cavalier. The day I was T-boned I called Harry, I brought my car to his shop and he put the spare tire on my blown out rear wheel. The next day he had a new tire for me. The next week I left my car there to be inspected by the insurance company, and two days later I got my car back. I almost forgot which side I was hit on that's how good it looks, they even cleaned my car... bonus!! My experience here was as good as it can get. I dont agree with the negative reviews, but anything can happen, (and will), so make sure the terms are understood when you make any deal. That being said, I had 2 vehicles repaired here recently. The bodywork and paint on my Acura MDX was handled professionally and with attention to detail. It was a rear quarter panel repair, and was done well. I chose to have the car waxed and detailed, and an excellent job was done. Im very happy with the results and it looks amazing. The other car was repaired as well, and I have no problems with any of the work they did. Service was exceptional again. I've lived in the area for 17 years, and have gotten ridiculous estimates up and down Jericho Tpke. from various body shops, but some were at least DOUBLE what they should have been. DO NOT USE THIS AUTO BODY SHOP. I brought my car in and they damaged the electrical system and allowed me to drive away knowing so. My power windows did not work. They also scratched the dash board on my Range Rover from either placing tools or a tool box on it. Still trying to get my monies. Try dealing with the woman upfront, it has been a nightmare. I will proceed with legal actions if they do not pay for the damage that they did to my vehicle. The owner tells you to pay cash to save you money, the only money that is saved is placed in his own pocket. read more

I was cut off by a semi-trailer earlier this summer and that was a good thing because otherwise I wouldn't have taken my car to Cavalier Auto Body. Cavalier returned my 2014 BMW looking better than the day I picked it up from Tenafly BMW. It has been about a month now and every time I approach my car I am grateful. I am not kidding. I was not surprised though, I knew I was in the right place almost as soon as I walked in the door. And, I think any reasonable person, who values proper auto repair and maintenance, would quickly come to the same conclusion. Aside from the exquisite work they did repairing the damage caused by the collision with the semi-trailer, my car had some minor damage in other areas that fell outside of the insurance claim. Cavalier fixed this damage. And, why not, while they were at it, but that is not what happens at most body shops. A couple of small chips in your bumper cover, or quarter panel with a deep scratch, can easily cost you an additional thousand. My experience was as good as it gets and I will be back. They left a small touch up kit of BMW A83 paint hanging off my blinker stalk. And, again I say, why not... while they were at it, but, I have been to a half dozen or more body shops at which the repair required painting and never left with a little touch-up kit. read more

I wouldn't use them again if my life depended on it. My 6 month old car was in an accident. I had left it there and went back unexpectedly to get something out of my car that I needed. I found the front bumper was in the back of my car laying across my leather seats. Although there was no damage it showed a total disregard for my property. When I picked the car up the hood wasn't even properly attached and I had to go back to have it fixed. Not a big deal but would never recommend or use them again read more

Stay far, far away from this place!!! Mercedes Benz of Huntington sent my car to Cavalier Auto Body to have my front bumper cover resprayed and this place ruined my car. It had to be sent back 3 times as they couldn't get it right. In the process they damaged other areas on the car and got over spray ALL over the car. I could've done a better job in my garage. I refused to give them a 4th chance and brought the car to my body guy as I had already not had my car for 4 weeks. The damaged they caused totaled $4100.00. The car will never be the same with all the damage they caused. All this stress and money for a bumper cover!! If I could give negative stars I would. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Absolutely horrible!!!! read more

I have been using Cavalier for over 20 years. Unfortunately, I have needed them numerous times over the years for the various vehicles in my family. In December of 2013, my new Infiniti QX60 was vandalized resulting in serious issues on one side of the vehicle. Less than one week later, the crew at Cavalier did its magic and made the vehicle look as good as new. In January of 2014, the same vehicle was rear ended on the parkway. Cavalier worked with Geico to restore the vehicle as good as new. Best yet, they did a full detail on the vehicle and it literally looked as good as new both inside and out. Harry was a gentleman and treated me with incredible respect. I will continue using Cavalier as the need arises in the future, although hopefully not for a long, long time. read more
