Place is nice looking, but somewhat tight. We were seated at a tiny table for two and the pacing of dishes was infuriating, as pretty much everything came at once and the table was so cramped that it was uncomfortable. Glasses, plates, ice bucket, and then the sushi plates... I hated it. The sushi was good, and it was attractive to look at, but nothing really blew us away. Service was friendly, but she simply wasn't a great server. Final problem as that our Sake was a different price on the check from what was listed in the menu. When I mentioned it, she just said, "oh, we got new menus." I mentioned that wasn't the point and that it wasn't okay. She didn't seem to get it. So, beware of something possibly shady going on. Not bad, but we won't return.

Such a cute, cozy, and family run sushi spot. We ordered the: bluefin nest sashimi, rainbow roll, atomic roll, yellowtail serrano roll, spicy tuna on crispy rice, plus shishito peppers and edamame. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Service is consistently great, reservations are easy, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Lovely, cozy and clean atmosphere. I sat at the bar and the Chefs were very friendly and professional and attentive to me the entire time. Matt is an exceptional server and gave me the absolute best service and recommendations. He took care of me throughout my entire visit. Never felt rushed during my time there at all. The sushi was fresh and the plating was very tastefully decorative. My favorite was the Yellowtail Serrano! Definitely will be coming back again!

If you are looking for a sushi place with fresh fish, this is the place to go! We had great service and food presentation. It's also super cute for a date. I would definitely recommend this sushi spot! We ordered the salmon, lime, Evergreen, onion bloom and baked baby lobster roll. They were all super delicious! Make it a day and go shopping at Bloomingdale's and pick up some sweet treats at Porto's across the street.

Definitely a top sushi spot in the area. I love this local, family-run place operated by a father and son! The menu is full of fresh, delicious options. While the rice was ever so slightly overcooked and a bit bland in my opinion, the quality and freshness of the fish more than made up for it. Many places have nigiri that tastes the same due to similar ingredients, but not here--each piece had its own distinct flavor. I also appreciated the reservation option; our table was ready the moment we arrived. The interior is relaxing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our drinks were always topped off, and the servers made sure we were well taken care of. Parking on the street can be a bit tricky, but there are plenty of nearby parking structures and lots available.

Finally a sushi place that combines quality fish with a nice casual atmosphere and great staff! The edamame was warm and perfectly salted. The unsweetened green tea came with an edible flower, and they have lunch specials! The nigiri was to die for. And they had gf soy sauce. I will definitely come back and try their other lunch specials. Delish!

For a date night out, we chose Cavi Sushi in Glendale, and were NOT disappointed. Not only do they already have a great run of reviews (over 200, for a 4.8 star average at the time of our visit), but they lived up to EVERY expectation. Street parking was...well, street parking. But overall it wasn't at all difficult to find a spot within easy walking distance. And the walk itself takes you past a number of upscale businesses and other places you may just want to come back and visit. I know we will! Cavi Sushi passed "new sushi place test #1" with flying colors. It didn't smell like fish when we walked in. IYKYK. For those who don't know, if you smell fish when you walk in...walk out. We were seated right away (our reservation wasn't at all needed), and the service was polite and prompt. The interior is very well decorated; quite classy. Even the chairs were a step up: cushioned and very comfortable. The menu was straightforward. We selected some nigiri to start with (salmon, salmon belly, unagi, and red snapper), and a couple of rolls. Everything was delivered quickly, and with beautiful presentation. And the flavor...the freshness...OMG. It was perfect. The nigiri were excellent, and the rolls were outstanding. I loved the Atomic roll, and my lady was very happy with her choice: the Yellowtail Serrano roll. Check out the photos! As with most sushi places, the beer selection was slim. But they did have some decent house wines available, and a glass of cab added a touch of magic to our dinner. Make Cavi Sushi a regular for your sushi outings! I know we will.

So so delicious! My boyfriend and I were in search of a new sushi spot and my goodness, we are so glad we found this place! You have to try the atomic roll! Spicy and tasty and all the right flavors! The salmon lime roll was fresh and citrusy--my favorite! Honorable mention to the spicy tuna crispy which was also a standout! The onion bloom roll was on the salty side but the crispy onions were yum! Everyone was very friendly and the chef was awesome! Casual ambiance, great for date night or to catch up with friends!

Heaters on a cold night were warmly comfortable. Outside seating in open air is always welcome. Lunch prices are more reasonable. The fish looked fresh and tasted good. The servers were within reach, courteous and attentive. Emilia and Peter worked smoothly as a team.

Cavi Sushi in Glendale was a fun dinner stop, especially since it's right near the heart of downtown and perfect for a stroll around the Americana afterward. We tried a few cut rolls, and the yellowtail and salmon stood out as our favorites--super fresh and full of flavor. The fish in general was really fresh, which made a big difference in every bite. Prices are a little on the high side, but the quality mostly justifies it. Service was quick and friendly, which we appreciated on a busy night. The ambiance is cute without being over the top--there's a whole ceiling section covered in hanging flowers that gives it a fun, Instagrammable vibe. It feels modern and stylish but still casual enough to relax in. It wasn't too loud, even when the tables filled up. We parked in the nearby lot that gives 90 minutes free, which made things really easy. Definitely a good spot for a date night or casual meet-up with friends. If you're sushi-hopping through Glendale, this one's worth a stop. I'd come back just for that yellowtail roll and will probably try more speciality rolls next time.

wow, wow, WOW!! such good sushi and has such fresh fish. I recently moved into one of the apartment buildings nearby and decided to try this place out since its within walking distance. needless to say this is one of the BEST sushi spots in glendale. I used to drive out to la crescenta for sushi but i no longer have to do that since this is a short walk away and i dont need to worry about the parking situation. the star of the show for me was the toro sunrise. it was phenomenal!

Had a matinee play to go to and our daughters to feed before hand. We saw the place and saw the stars were high based on 100+ reviews. Plus our 10 year-olds were a big thumbs up to sushi. It's a nice clean place, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was very sweet and conscientious. It was a great experience and really helped add to a fun day. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable sushi journey. I eat sushi every week and wasn't looking for anything special, so Ive never been here before and walked in expecting nothing. I was met with GREAT service & quickly introduced to an amazing seaweed salad and extremely impressed with the Yellowtail Serrano roll. Our waitress' recommendations for sake were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
