Nothing says West Hollywood more than iced matcha. Actually I don't know if that's really true, but I swear the moment Jamie W and I entered this spot, we felt the casually cool WeHo vibe right away with its antique white, neon pink, and tropical green decor. It's just down the street from The Abbey, and we were getting awfully thirsty from a balmy stroll we took along Melrose. As part of the faux-fashionable set, we felt a need to order among their signature matchas. Jamie ordered the refreshing $9 Strawberry Matcha Latte made with fresh strawberry puree and 4g matcha (whatever that means). I went for the $10.50 Large Pistachio Cloud Matcha Latte which featured not only pistachio cold foam and pistachio powder but actual coconut collagen (Photo 10). Gee, I didn't know coconut had collagen. Both orders were tasty LA-style libations which we sipped casually on their wraparound patio. The outdoor seating was visible from the sidewalk, so we got the sense it was a social hub for the young and feckless. I don't think we overstayed our welcome since we didn't get any small-mouth. We'd come back even if I might've exceeded the maximum age limit.. Solid spot in weho to grab a matcha or coffee drink with a nice side patio. Drinks are a bit pricey but what cafe isn't these days (with tip it was over $9 for my nitro cloud matcha with oat milk but props to them for serving it in an aluminum cup that kept it pretty cold on a very very hot day in LA). Service was super friendly and helpful! Inside was decorated in the Cha cha style in pink and green and really good A/C but no tables or places to eat or sit inside. I do wish there were some patio fans outside on hot days, it can get really warm outside even in the shade, but it is a pleasant cafe on the corner. Meter parking can run a bit expensive so you can try 2 hour free neighborhood parking but watch for the infamous LA signs which are so confusing you'll probably get a ticket before turning off your engine. read more

Cute location with the outdoor patio! The drinks were good, a bit on the sweet side (but could be expected for a cold foam matcha). My friend got their purple matcha which seemed to be a little different than their purple drink at other locations. The drinks both were ready in 5 minutes. We were lucky to have found parking in the neighborhood behind the store. We walked over from shopping down the way and were greeted by Juno. Great customer service, helpful with our questions and very friendly with all the customers. Juno is a great example of how one should be welcomed when walking into a business. We sat on the patio, small but room for all and pretty trees above giving shade if desired. Street parking is available and is metered. Our Lavender Matcha and Strawberry matcha were made just right, not too sweet, but sooo delicious! We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area. Enjoy! read more

I'm LOVE my Cha Cha Matcha!!! My neighborhood matcha go to and the customer service is 10/10 no matter who is working! The Beautiful Matcha latte is my go to with the collagen you can't go wrong!!! Location is off of Melrose and Robertson, so if you are in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area, it's super easy to find!!! And I am a pink/ mint green girlie, so I absolutely LOvE the decor and aesthetic of Cha Cha Matcha!!! The pastries they have are also so good and they even offer gluten free choices on top of the non dairy choices of their drinks!!! This place is definitely a 5/5 for me!!! read more

this is my second cha-cha location I've been to. This one is much smaller with no interior seating. There are some seats outside but no tables inside it's very cramped. The day I went there were two employees. service was slow even when it was our turn at the register. it took a while for them to come take our order. since the inside is small, while you're waiting for your drink, you're standing around, trying not to get hit by other people getting their drink or opening the door, which pulls in. The employees do make the drinks by hand and one by one and use a scale to measure things which they are constantly having to wipe down with Matcha powder spilling all over. Defintely didn't seem too clean. my friend, ordered the Yuzu Matcha lemonade, and noticed that at this location, a couple of the toppings were missing. A guy ordered the cloud latte before me, and when they called him for his drink, the barista did not put the cloud on top and he had to ask for it. and although our drink had two orders, I got my drink and it took about another five minutes before my friend got her drink so it didn't seem like he had a process for making all the drinks in one order together. Drinks do taste great though. maybe today was an off day since it was a Saturday and they were busy. read more

Stopped by this location because it was on my list. This cute and cozy place serves some great matcha! I ordered the popular strawberry matcha with coconut milk and it was sweet and delicious. The staff were nice and helpful as they provided the recommendation to me after I disclosed my preferences and what a great choice. While the parking is sometimes scarce, the cute scenery around and outdoor seating is the perfect spot for friends and matcha. I'll definitely return to try other drinks. read more

Love this Cha Cha Matcha location! The staff are so kind and the decor is really cute. Nice outdoor space to hangout or do a bit of work. I've tried a few items on the menu (always matcha) and they never disappoint. I recently tried their Iced Hojicha-Cha Cloud, which is a roasted green tea drink topped with a vegan cold foam and sea salt. It was sooo delish! Perfect salted foam top. Great level of sweetness on the matcha. It was an excellent drink! My only complaint is that the prices for cha cha matcha are getting higher and higher. But unfortunately, that's the same for most cafes in Los Angeles. Definitely worth trying out their drinks at Cha Cha Matcha. read more

When I was in the area for work, I noticed this matcha spot about a 10 min walk away. Seeing I'm in the phase of exploring my matcha options, I swung by after work to check it out. I was intrigued that they had a matcha latte on draft, so I decided to try that! The matcha was mixed with vanilla, coconut milk, and oat milk. I really appreciated seeing vanilla bean seeds within the drink itself, so you know it was not just vanilla extract. The drink went down very smoothly and was quite delicious overall! It felt a little too strong on the oat milk, but it is a nice alternative to dairy-based matcha drinks, for those who are lactose intolerant. Nice amount of seating throughout the area. Grabbed a seat outside since it was a nice day, and I really like how it was quite shaded in the area. Great spot to come by and get some work done too while enjoying some great matcha! read more

Came back and had a much better experience except the person forgot our order. The drinks I got the nitro matcha which was super smooth and perfect taste while my bf got the Kyoto. He personally did not like the vanilla cold foam top, he prefers other coffee shops better. Inside was cute and there was space to sit outside. read more

The entire concept is super cute but the matcha also delivers in quality and flavors. The team were kind and offered suggestions as well as taste testers upon entry. Came across this place while walking to a spot for lunch and made a note to stop by on the way back to my car. Such a cute interior and super friendly staff! I got the purple drink, which is Ube and lavender and added match on top, iced of course! It was love at first sip! The staff were very sweet and friendly and I loved the overall aesthetic of this cafe. It's very pink and definitely photo worthy. I got their draft matcha latte and it was pretty good! You can definitely taste the hints of vanilla and oat milk. It has a mild sweetness, so if you prefer your matcha on the sweeter end, I would recommend getting one of their other drinks! There are no seats inside but they have a small section right outside with ample tables and seats. read more

I love cha cha matcha! I live quite a distance from here, but my partner and I are always willing to come out here to enjoy some matcha. This time I got the strawberry matcha with almond milk and their matcha croissant. I haven't had their strawberry matcha before and honestly it was super good! Had their matcha latte with oat milk--a little watered down for my liking--perhaps a little too much oat milk was added but you can still taste and enjoy the quality matcha. Friendly service. I honestly had such a disappointing experience here. The service was slow and inattentive -- it felt like no one cared to check in or clean up the tables, which were sticky and messy when we sat down. We ordered two drinks, and both were extremely overpriced for what we got. Not only that, but they tasted awful -- we literally gagged after a few sips. It was so bad that we ended up throwing them away. The flavor was off and just overall unpleasant. For a place that's supposed to be trendy and high quality, the experience was far from it. Between the bad service, unclean tables, and terrible drinks, I definitely won't be coming back. Save your money -- there are way better matcha spots in LA that actually care about what they serve and how they treat customers. Btw we ordered the beautiful and the draft iced matcha. It was absolutely pouring outside so I decided that I should warm myself up with a hot cup of matcha. The inside was super cute and really pink and although it was raining outside, most of the tables are actually outside. I decided to keep it simple and went with the standard matcha (just matcha and water) with vanilla sweetener ($5). Their most current menu is at the very front so I wasn't able to really look through it until I got to the cashier. I've been regularly around the area for about 4 years now and have always been wanting to try the matcha here. I was honestly a bit disappointed because the matcha didn't taste any different from the matcha that I usually make at home myself. Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing all the rave reviews. The matcha also wasn't blended that well and by the time I got to the bottom of the cup I got a lot of the chalky texture that tends to happen because of that. The cups that they use are super flimsy and the lids don't stay on the cups at all. When I walked back to my car I was spilling hot matcha all over my hands. Maybe I just got the wrong thing and I should be getting their more specialty drinks. Now I know that the regular matcha with water isn't the way to go here though. read more

Stopped by this place after I found out it's only 9 mins walking distance from Cedars Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center. I needed a pick me up after my early morning appointment. Love the ambiance and enjoyed the cloud matcha, not too sweet (perfect to my liking). The staff were friendly and service was fast. This place is very cute, the matcha was good, but the two ladies working when I visited (October 14 around 3pm) were not friendly at all. We walked in and were not even greeted. They continued to have a conversation between themselves and didn't even greet us when I went to the register. They just asked what I wanted. I had a question about one of the drinks and they responded with attitude like I should know what their house made item was. The matcha was good. Not great, but good. There are other locations so I will try those and hopefully they have better customer service and tastier drinks. read more

Loved trying matcha here and was surprised I was able to find street parking nearby! Decor of the shop, seating area and drinks were super cute! Drinks themselves... I ended up only trying one twice - the white chocolate peppermint matcha latte with oat milk - both iced and hot. I loved the iced version so much - probably my favorite drink of last year - I came back for a second but for some reason they made it hot instead of iced... oh well. Decided to just try it anyways but in my opinion the iced is the way to go. Matcha was a great flavor and blended well, not too sweet and just so good. The other option I was interested in was not available. However the price point for this particular drink was high (around $11) - other drinks were more reasonably priced but the price definitely makes me think twice about coming more regularly when in the area. When I tried to take a sip, the lid shifted and the hot tea spilled onto my leg, burning my lip and causing a significant burn on my leg. Over the next several days, the burn blistered and the skin peeled. I contacted the café privately and sent photos because I wanted to give them an opportunity to respond before posting publicly. Unfortunately, I never received a reply. I'm sharing this so others can be aware. Hot beverages should be served safely, lids should be secure, and customers should be warned when a drink is hot enough to cause burns. I hope the café takes this seriously and improves its safety practices.

I usually get espresso-based drinks or their cold brew, and I've never been disappointed by the drink quality or the time it takes to prepare my beverages. There's ample seating both indoors and outdoors, and I could see why this would be a popular spot for reading or getting work on your laptop done.
