This place has great matcha. I usually have to drink two matchas to really feel caffeinated but one of these will kick start your day. I ordered a whole milk strawberry matcha and got light syrup. The total came out to 10.02 which is pretty expensive considering it was whole milk. Even with light syrup, it still came out pretty sweet but the matcha flavor was strong and yummy. The service was ok, I could hear the employees complain about someone's complicated order but the person on register was friendly. It's a cute shop with really nice outdoor seating, it's a good place to hang out and relax. Overall this is a solid spot for matcha lovers, I'll definitely be back. read more

Was $10 worth one strawberry matcha? Absolutely not. This is definitely one of those "hipster traps" you pay more for the ambience and aesthetic instagrammable photo ops more than the quality of the drinks. Delicious. Drinks. They have a lot of special drinks where you can add a shot of matcha to if it does not already include it. I got both the purple drink and blue drink. I kid you not, the purple drink taste just like cereal milk! Very delicious drinks with a tropical vibe atmosphere. I came early in the morning and it was not busy, was able to grab a seat and enjoy my drinks. While their drinks is on the more expensive side, it comes with some really good health benefits like collagen, turmeric etc. Did I already say it's really good?? No indoor seating, if it's not too busy you can snag a nice seat in the green lush filled patio. Parking is limited on Robertson, but you can find something in the neighborhoods. read more

Yum, I love matcha specialty shops and Cha Cha did not disappoint. It's tucked in a quiet little part of the neighborhood with a cute patio and a very pink interior. I had the matcha latte and loved it. There are dairy alternatives available for convenience. The drinks are sweet and not all so matcha-forward, which I do like but not everyone may be a fan of that. There's a few food items, but I have yet to try them. Service is quick and easy. I'm usually in and out in less than 10 minutes, even if there's a few people in line. read more

Really nice, clean, instagrammable matcha cafe. I had a fairly pleasant experience here with friendly and quick service, and a tasty matcha latte that was just punchy/bitter and sweet enough. It hit the spot and also woke me up. Parking here is street parking, which may or may not be difficult depending on the day. There's also plenty of outdoor seating space on their patio. The only downside I see is their price. I understand the area and clientele, but some of their signature matcha drinks are $8! Super adorable hipster matcha place. The theme is so cute! Definitely not the most authentic matcha shop or anything but based on the couple things I tried it's pretty good if you're in the area. The matcha soft serve ice cream was a nice light matcha flavor and not too sweet, so if you're not a dark concentrated matcha type of person this would be perfect to try out. $5 price is good. The matcha strawberry croissant looked super yummy sitting in the clear case so I tried that out. It's mostly strawberry with no matcha flavor but it was really tasty and refreshing still. Tried this place a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend and while it was fun to try it, I don't think I'll be returning. The matcha was pretty mid and the location was very busy. My boyfriend ordered a matcha chai and they almost forgot to add matcha so his drink barely had any in it. I had a matcha latte with cashew milk. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special for $7. I really appreciated having the option to reduce the sweetness since some cafes don't do that. I was surprised when the barista asked me if I wanted to add matcha to the drink though. I assumed since the whole theme of the cafe was matcha, every drink would typically have matcha in it? Was unpleasantly surprised by the price point as well since my drink that didn't even have milk in it ended up being nearly $10! Solely based off that price point, I would never come here again LOL. Ambiance/Service: Super peaceful and casual cafe. No indoor seating, only outdoor cushioned chairs, which felt a little unsanitary since they're always exposed to the elements. Other than that though, I definitely recommend coming here to meet and chat with friends, or even to read a book. Ergonomically, it seems so inefficient to come here if you plan to work on a laptop though since there are no desks/table of adequate height. And many of the cushioned chairs sink backwards. Just remembered i have pictures from when i went to Cha Cha Matcha in 2019. This made me realize that the reason i didn't post a review because of what unpleasant service I got when I came. I really hope that since then either they hired new staff or they did a little revamp on how to be friendly. This place is super cute and has the IG influencer photo op vibe. The only reason I even came here was because my niece was visit from out of town and it was on her "Where I want to go when I'm in LA" but even she was disappointed with the service. A greeting would of been nice? We were stared at as if we didn't belong and it wasn't that we didn't know what we wanted because Emmy niece did her homework so she knew lol but it was more like we were annoying them. Also, they didn't say anything when the drinks were ready they just had them out while we were sitting outside the patio. Idk how it works here when an order is ready but usually they say your name and that the drink is ready??? But anyways we might return and I'll give an updated review.
