This is my first time at a Cha Redefine and I was so disappointed in my experience. What initially caught our eye were the promotions around the store about the new black sesame drinks. We really wanted to try that but apparently they stopped making them. Why leave the advertisements up then? What really made my experience disappointing though was the extremely long wait. This place is EXTREMELY understaffed. There were only two workers and at least 15 people inside and outside of the small store waiting for their drinks. We waited probably like 25 minutes for our drinks... Granted, the staff were very nice but they seemed to be working their asses off. I don't think they stopped making drinks. Lucky for them, there was a kiosk where you placed your orders. There is no human interaction other than when they call out your number to pick up your drinks. We ordered four drinks ranging from a matcha latte to the popular mango drinks; all of them were so mid, very mediocre. I would not recommend trying this place out. The other reviews seem to be raving about the other locations in the 626. Go there instead. read more

Hello, I stumbled upon this hot new boba bar last weekend during it's grand opening and it was nice! The staff were friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in and were eager to assist. I ordered the Cha Cha Peachy with mochi and it was sooo delicious! Mochi topping is quite rare and I was so excited to see they had it on their menu :) They gave us 50% off each drink and let us spin a wheel for a chance to win prizes! One of the prizes was a Jellycat! Sadly didn't win anything lol but it was still a nice touch to engage customers! The interior is small but there is plenty of seating. The only downside if any would be the parking because Chapman Market is pretty busy all the time, but it's right across the street from Fish With You and Hangari Kalguksu restaurants so I would recommend walking over for dessert after a filling meal. A new boba joint replaced Tiger Sugar. Interior layout is pretty much the same, just different decor. I tried Mochi Mango (almost $8) which has rice mochi, fresh mango, and fresh milk. [ EDIT ] Got the mochi mango twice now and it's night and day. The first time, it tasted almost like a mango sticky rice in a cup, except the rice isn't as sticky. It was really hard to drink at first until everything melts. The rice mochi is tough to sip through the straw at first, but once you do, you get little clumps of rice that are actually really fun to chew. 2nd time getting mochi mango, it tastes like a mango smoothie. More silk-like texture without any rice clumps. I didn't taste any mochi-like substance at all. Quite different two times I ordered the same drink. Either way both experiences were tasty, but now I really don't know how it's supposed to taste like. read more

Stopped by for my first visit today while looking for a sweet treat after dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised ! This cafe is nestled within a plaza in Ktown, and it has a lively and chic vibe with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of drink options, including some unique ones like the rice einspanner, and even a small merch section in the store. I really enjoyed my einspanner drink -- it was lightly sweet, had little rice krispie-like toppings, and was super smooth. I really have to highlight service for this review -- I was a total clutz getting my drink from the counter, and while I tried putting a top on the cup, it toppled and spilled EVERYWHERE. When I got word that Cha Redefine was going to open up in Ktown (replacing black sugar), I was ECSTATIC. Previously, they were in Pasadena and Arcadia. Parking was terrible at both locations (depending on the time) and then, the closest location near my office in DTLA was in a not so great location. It was also like a 20 minute bus ride from my office. Meanwhiles, Cha in K-town is right across from H-Mart and next door to Quarters. I come here often as I live WALKING distance away. Since opening, I've definitely stopped by with friends at least once every other week. Sometimes even twice a week! The menu changes seasonally but my go-to faves are still the jasmine cha-puccino and the sri lanka chappucino. I hope they stay a while because they are one of the few good boba places in the area! read more

I'm so happy there's a new boba place in Chapman Market to replace Tiger Sugar. I stopped by during their soft opening (May 25-29 with 20% off drinks). The remodeling they did looks pretty good and I appreciated the baby proofing bumpers on the corners of the tables. If you came here before when it was Tiger Sugar or Snow Monster then you'd know there wasn't a lot of space and it felt pretty closed off, but it looks much more open now and it has a little space for seating inside to wait for your drinks. I'm a big fan of their Da Hong Pao Chappuccino from other locations. However, even though I asked for less ice, my drink still came with a bit too much, and my teeth are a little sensitive to how cold it gets. My husband got the Sri Lanka Ceylon Latte, which was also delicious, though definitely on the sweeter side. We both did get 25% sugar because we know it tends to be a little sweet here. My only minor critique, and why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is that I wish Cha Redefine offered a few more regular milk tea options that aren't topped with a lot of extra ingredients. I'm a big fan of classic milk teas such as a strong Jasmine or Tie Guan Yin. This isn't a knock on this specific location, just a general preference for the chain. Overall, it's a great spot for tea, and the soft opening discount is a nice bonus. I didn't order the boba itself this time around but I'll definitely be back very soon to try it out. I did a large group DoorDash order from here and all the drinks were labeled and had the individual's name on it which was super helpful. I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte with oat milk, 50% sweet, and iced. I'd order it 25% sweet next time as it overpowered the drink a little bit. I highly recommend the Chapuccino at 25% sweet if you're into more traditional, rich tea flavor without being overly stimulating. Located in the same marketplace as Quarters Korean BBQ where we had dinner, and Uncle Tetsu, where we picked up dessert. Would recommend mixing this drink well, otherwise you get a lot more grapefruit than mango at first sip. PARKING: This is in a plaza with valet parking. Came here from Moohan KBBQ so we walked over from across the street since our parking is already validated. There's street parking around the area (it's Ktown though so could get busy). Sometimes the valet people are nice and will let you pick up quickly if the lot isn't packed. Not sure if there are other options besides street.
