    Dog with whip cream
    Brian T.

New tea chain that opened up in this busy San Gabriel plaza. Open late night which is great for hanging out. Indoor and outdoor seating. Refreshing drinks. Nice service and even gave my dog whipped cream on the side! The mango chili uses real mango for that sweet natural mango flavor. The ceylon cha latte comes with a thick whip cream and nuts on it. Tea was good. Would come back if I'm craving a late night drink. They also have ice cream and pastries here!

6/25/26 Sri Lanka Ceylon cha latte with oat milk-- surprisingly good!

6/25/26 I was really excited & rearing to go in.... Entered the doors and was told, "We open at 11". I figured it was an open door that they were. Would've passed the chance coz time is money but J figured J will take my business elsewhere but decided to return. J walked over to Kee Wah. When I returned, it was starting to pick up already. My less than warm reception was not impressive. The young man at the counter did not greet me and I may have startled him when I loudly said "Hi! Good morning!" as I stood there waiting for him to acknowledge the presence of a customer. If anything, I value these interactions & it didn't bode well. Ambiance is modern, clean, even the single stall restroom was clean and furnished for comfort. Music is extremely loud, not much for conversation if you would like to stay to enjoy your beverage with a friend, unless you relish shouting over each other. Perhaps it's only geared for the younger crowd. I ordered the HOT Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte with oat (extra $0.75 for the oat milk)--- the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star rating. This beverage was actually very good. Not many beverages are made hot here (silly me, I thought tea & coffee are traditionally served hot vs. cold). The house cream made it palatable & the crunchy nut bits were a pleasant surprise. This is newly opened in the TAWA Gateway plaza, with many businesses sharing the lot, which I'm fairly certain will be packed in peak hours. The experience was lackluster as it was not the most welcoming atmosphere from the staff but at least I gave it a try.

Visited Cha Redefine with my lovely wife during their grand opening and it's just like the other locations I've been to. They're pretty big and have plenty of tables around. The cafe is very clean and big, free parking in a large parking lot as well. They share same plaza with two other boba shops and are close to popular restaurants as well, perfect spot to get some drinks after a meal. My go to drinks here are the matcha tornado and the Osmanthus drinks as well. All are refreshing to drink especially on a warmer day. This spot doesn't seem like a spot to hangout with friends as they don't have big tables. More of a grab and go type cafe. CRF is known for their higher quality drinks so I'm very happy to have another boba spot added to an already packed SGV.

Of course I had to visit the newest Cha Redefine location. This location is pretty much the same as the one in Arcadia. The shop has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. There is minimal seating inside, so it seems better for a grab-and-go experience rather than hanging out for a while. The menu has many creative drinks and a decent variety of drinks to choose from. I really like the chappuccino and cha latte drinks, whereas my husband really likes the ceremonial matcha grade drinks. Their drinks do lean towards the sweeter end though, so I prefer to get half sweetness here. Although there is no self-order kiosk, they do have online ordering through Toast and a loyalty program. The store opens until 1 am everyday, making it the perfect boba spot for late-night visits. Plenty of parking, including underground level parking, is available in the shared plaza.

Came here around 11pm and line was packed!! Who knew there was 50% off drinks late night Mango Mango: 8/10, good refreshing summer drink Super crowded inside but there's a cute photobooth! Good amount of seating to chit chat while waiting for drinks.

    Leesuh W.

Matcha Matcha 5/5 (good if you like matcha) Mango mango 5/5 (50% sweet is just right) Mango Passion Chill 4/5 (25% sweet is still a bit sweet) Almond Croissant 5/5 (only if it is baked fresh) Service 5/5! My overall experience has been good! However, their bakery goods are not good if you come in the late afternoon or evening. They're either cold or too hard to eat. I would recommend their almond croissant, but get it when they open or early afternoon - otherwise it's a waste of your money.

    Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte
    Peggy S.

I really like how many interesting drink options there are at this location. I ended up getting the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte. Great tea taste and the whipped cream topping added a nice foaminess. The pecan had a nice crunch to it. The service was quick, even though the store was pretty crowded. There was plenty of seating but it felt like most people were waiting for their drinks. The shop was large and felt well lit. The parking lot was in a huge complex with other stores so it was easy to find parking.

I had a good experience at Cha Redefine (San Gabriel). I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.50 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice). It's Sri Lanka Ceylon Black Tea, Milk, Whipped Cream, and Honey Roasted Pecans. I enjoyed the prominent fresh tea flavor, but it all tasted like a SUGAR explosion. It's VERY sweet. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card or Contactless Payment. Also, this location uses a gimmick where customers receive a FREE Fragrance Card if they show a Yelp Review; practice caution when checking the reviews. I vehemently dislike these gimmicks.) I arrived at Cha Redefine (San Gabriel) on Tuesday (around 11:13AM). Parking is easy. The main lot is very big. Also, there's extra underground parking whenever it's busy. Customers must order at the counter; there's no self-service kiosk. Staff (receipt says Yuhang) is very welcoming, friendly, and diligent. Yuhang happily answered all my questions, and Yuhang moved purposefully. There was no line, but the drink arrived very slowly. I waited about 13 minutes for one drink. As mentioned, I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.50 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice). I had loved this same drink at the Rowland Heights location, so I chose it again. However, San Gabriel made it very sugary. The crisp, fresh tea flavor was almost masked by all the sugar. If searching for a dessert, this is a good option. The ingredients tasted fresh and well-intentioned. On ambiance, Cha Redefine (San Gabriel) is clean, well-ventilated, and a little loud. Lively Pop Music echoed everywhere. There's about seven round tables, and there's about eight electrical outlets. Also, I appreciated the gender neutral restroom in the corner. The location is popular with a steady flow of customers. Overall, I appreciated Cha Redefine (San Gabriel). It's a good option for tea; however; there's also many amazing, alternative nearby choices. Still, I sipped with a small smile. 4.4 out of 5

So happy this Cha Redefine is open closer to my house! The drinks are solid and still as consistent as their other locations. Where to start? There are so many good options, no matter what I am craving or who I am with, I feel this place has it all. There are refreshing drinks like fruit teas (peach oolong!), lattes (Sri Lanka!), matcha (blueberry oat matcha), and also heavier or non caffeinated drinks (coco melon!). There are so many other flavors that are good or that I haven't even tried. I normally get 70% sugar at most places but I'll get 50% here for things without toppings. I was also impressed with the service especially during the times they had their promotions. The line moves, the ordering process is easy (friendly staff) and the drinks come out faster than expected. I am not sure if they are still experimenting with their hours but we got to hangout there till almost 1am on Friday night. The spot is decorated with a modern simple chic feel while there is a free photobooth that gives the place a little extra splash of fun! I'll have to try the food and gelato next time.

This Cha Redefine is in the TAWA Getaway plaza with 99 Ranch Market and Daiso. This Cha Redefine is near the ends of Marugame Udon and Wushiland Boba. Right now, they may/may not have a line due to it being freshly opened. They have so many pastries and they also have gelato. This place is the ONLY place that has gelato for Cha Redefine. In addition, they have a cute little photo booth on the left side near the restrooms. The service was great and they finished the drinks promptly. I like their Coco Lemon Longan with the refreshing lemon and longan taste. In addition, this was the time where they had BOGO on all drinks! I would recommend this to any Boba lover and anyone who loves a great place to hang out! TIP: There's ample parking and a restroom. The restroom is gender neutral! Right now til 6/18, they will do a late night special with their drinks as 50% off.

I'm so happy to see that one of my favorite tea shops is now open in the SGV! They have an amazing selection of delicious drinks, and I highly recommend the mango mango if it's your first time at CHA redefine! The drink is filled with fresh mangoes! I also love that they have seasonal drinks that rotate, so it's always fun to see which drink will pop up next. This time, they have a Longan Coconut series, and the Coco Longan Lemon is so refreshing. You can taste the real coconut water! This location also serves really good gelato. My kid loved the coconut gelato, she was literally screaming for more! I've also had their pastries, and for a boba shop, they have a VERY flakey, buttery and TASTY croissant! Like... you'd never think to get it, but it's AMAZING! Love the vibes, love the drinks, and can't wait to try more!

    Spacious lounge waiting area.

It's time to REDEFINE our life with boba cha. Without further ado, let's begin this tea-rrific review. :D lol Cha Redefine is a popular boba brand in the SGV. It's a high quality brand that offer high quality boba drinks. This new location is at Valle blvd adjacent to the Hilton hotel. They just opened about a week ago, and everything is brand new from the aesthetic decor to the electronic menu board. Cha Redefine is known for their top 10 drinks. My default drink is the Mango Mango boba! It's freshly made purée mango. Staff were nice and competent. Drinks and pastry are priced fairly well. Store is spacious and neat. Plenty of parking since it's in a large plaza. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a boba drink. I recommend it.

The latest new addition from Cha Redefine. Solid drinks as always but a few pros/cons to consider: + Pros: Nice setting with plenty of spacing, ample parking in the Focus Plaza lot, plenty of restaurants near or in the Plaza to make it a worthwhile stop + Cons: even on a slow Wednesday night, they were backlogged by a large number of food delivery app orders (which you can see on the waitlist TV screen). Probably spent 10 to 15mins just waiting for a basic drink. The worse part is that they don't announce numbers when your drink is ready and ordering from the counter doesn't give you a text notification so it requires you to pay attention on the screen on your own to see when your drink is ready. Also the weird layout doesn't give a ton of seating so plan on grab and go. Net net, service can use improvement but the drinks are solid like the other locations.

Got in line more than 10mins early - and I literally saw my pickup order waiting on the side of the register area, of which they had ONE PERSON working the register on a holiday, causing the line to go out the door. Sweet . No way to just be like - hey, can I get my food? No - order ahead, and still wait in a line that is out the door because the Dodgers played an hour ago, and now the World Cup is on - ON FATHER'S DAY- and we don't want to pay more than one cashier during this craaaazy time. ‍‍‍ Received my food at 4:30pm (after being there at 4:15 and ALREADY SEEING IT SAT THERE), and I even told the person at the register "it feels cold," and she said "So sorry!" I believe her, because it's not her fault (it's management/ownership)- but she just looked at me so I left. Ordered a chili cheese burger: Asked for chili on the side so the bun wouldn't be extra gross and soggy during the 11 minute drive home. Got a regular double burger, with no cheese. Also, no chili on the side. Or on the burger. It was just a mediocre double hamburger.....yay? My fish, which admittedly I dipped into on the drive home...? Not cooked. It was literally so gross I spit it out. The outside wasn't flaky/crispy - it was cold, moist, and uncooked. Because it touched the "wedges", all of it was thrown out. We ordered pizza. Clearman's is officially, and forever going forward, a no-go. I'm sure it's meh for dine-in, because we've dined in before. But to-go? Absolutely no.

Food: You can get pretty much anything you'd want here ranging from pizza to Mongolian BBQ. Each station has some sort of ridiculously nerdy name that adds to the dining experience. I'm going to go through all the options one by one, so bear with me: Bunsen Burner (Grill): This place serves piping hot breakfast in the morning and transitions to choice cuts of meats in the afternoon. They seriously have a butcher's delicase in the dining hall. How sweet is that? Deli Epicenter: The Epicenter is the to go place for some sandwiches. Never tried it, but the line is always ridiculous, so it must be at least decent. Salad-Fusion: The salad bar is priced at $0.39/oz. Not super impressive as the selection is fairly small, but it holds its own. Each plate comes with a baked roll. Wok Zone: This is the Mongolian BBQ station. The product that comes out of here is entirely dependent on your ability to mix the sauces correctly. Sometimes they'll randomly throw weird items into your food that you didn't want like corn. I don't know why. Maybe there are some passive aggressive employees who hate their job behind the counter. The amount of food you get is astronomical. Pizza-Byte: Super good pizza at a reasonable price with loads of crazy options to choose from like Ranch Bacon Chicken. Comfort Equation/Latin Bar: These are the two stations in the middle of the dining hall that serve the absolute best things on campus. The Latin bar frequently has tostadas with really great meat offerings. They like to serve seafood paella loaded with mussels and calimari (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fp2H4dCbkZO52RrmFqzSVQ?select=S8Xc9TtSZsLoU5taZzN5Wg). Comfort Equation frequently has dishes like spice-crusted grilled chicken, Asian dishes, salmon, etc. You can load up on these items (some are priced by weight, some with a flat amount) and then get healthy sides like rice and steamed veggies. Bandwidth Bakery: Has baked goods... most aren't super awesome. TechTonics: This is a glorified soda fountain with coffee. The name is much more awesome than the actual station. Soup Station: It's soup. Sushi: Also self-explanatory. Cooking 101: Ok, this one is pretty special. They serve absolutely delicious pasta here, cooked to order. Some of the meats include chicken, sausage, and meatballs. You can get red, cream, or a combo of sauces. They'll often experiment with different dishes like pho on occasion. I would stay away from the pho, though. It was watery and tasted nothing like the real thing! Service: It's a dining hall so you grab what you want and pay at the front in cash, credit, or Caltech card. There's an area in the back to return your plate etc. that a lot of people forget about. Atmosphere: It's a typical dining hall experience, but at least they have pomegranates, artichokes, a large array of citrus fruits, and strawberries growing outside. I think they sometimes use those in the food. Synopsis: Pretty cool, although with the swipe card option you can easily spend over 10 bucks for lunch and not even know it.

I forgot to photograph the stage where a small play or a spot for presentation is also available. Artwork is posted on the walls by local artists practice their freedom of expression. So neat! Staff at various vendor stalls are very friendly & open to share their passions to customers. Met the pastry chef from Baking With Ish, Ishnoel from Mindanao, Philippines and the barista/cashier, Jacqueline at Lotus & Bean, they're genuinely welcoming. I could see myself coming by to be a regular here. I really LOVE the concept. Restrooms available for both floors, clean. Parking is free. Come check it out!

Stopped by Bloom Market and loved how many food options there were...Mexican, Caribbean,…read moreMediterranean, sushi, or something sweet, there's a little bit of everything. Great spot if you're with a group that can never decide on one place. I had the shrimp ceviche from Olla Cocina and it was really good. A little heavy on the onion for me, and I was bummed there wasn't an option to add avocado, but it had tons of flavor and just the right amount of heat.

I've never had mac nut pancakes before and was dreaming for months about trying them. When I had my…read morefirst bite, that exceeded all my expectations!! Already planning my next visit :) Clean interior, quick service, order and pay up front and choose your own seats! TIP: ADD $4 FOR A SIDE OF BANANA MAC NUT PANCAKES TO YOUR CHIMICHURRI STEAK Chimichurri steak with 2 fried eggs and 2 banana macadamia nut pancakes: 5/5. I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. Bouncy, snappy pieces of chicken that are not dry at all. Seasoned so well!

Luckily, we were able to find…read moreparking easily, though I wouldn't say the same on a busy day. 7/10 First Impression - The restaurant looked clean, but there were no booths available. The cashier at the front was friendly, welcoming, and patient while we looked over the menu. Now let's get down to business... the food! 8/10 Banana OREO Pancakes Great pancakes ! You'd think it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The pancake batter itself was fluffy, moist, buttery... just perfect. 5/10 Crab Omelette lt wasn't dry and had a buttery flavor, but something about the crab tasted fishy. The spinach and mushrooms are great.Just not my cup of tea. 4/10 PotatoesThe potatoes on the side were cooked perfectly and cut into large pieces, which I liked. However, I felt they lacked seasoning. After a few bites, you kind of get over it. 6/10 Mexican Iced Chocolate Pretty straight forward tasted like a light chocolate.More like milk with a whisper of Mexican chocolate. 6/10 Pineapple Juice Refreshing and tasted freshly made. You could tell because of the pulp. Only Complaint:They forgot our pineapple juice, and when the server was about to bring it over, the cashier stopped them and said, "Wait, come over here! Let me see!" Then once he saw us, he said, "Okay..."We had gotten our food to go received the food no pineapple juice. A few min before we got the Whisper... chocolate. On a hot day, waiting for drinks? Not cool. Total: Over $50 for 2 people. The portions are large, but for the quality and presentation, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Would I recommend it? Yes...
