New boba spot in the SGV area! I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, but they had run out of mango purée, so I came back about 20 minutes later to place my order. I tried the mango mango and the coconut matcha gelato, and both were good. The mango mango was refreshing, not overly sweet, and packed with mango chunks. The coconut matcha gelato was smooth and creamy. Everything felt fresh and refreshing, making it the perfect treat. I've tried many of the drinks here, and almost all of them have been excellent, except for the Cha Cha Lychee Rice, which just wasn't my personal preference. The teas are incredibly fragrant and taste like real tea, not just flavored drinks. The Osmanthus Tea, Jasmine Tea, and Peach Oolong are especially good. You can actually smell and taste the tea leaves, which shows the quality of the ingredients. The Osmanthus Tea tastes quite similar to Cha San Chen's. The fruits are always fresh and high quality. I can tell the matcha is premium quality. It has a strong, authentic matcha flavor with a pleasant bitterness that isn't overpowering. One thing to note is that the drinks here tend to run on the sweeter side. I'd recommend ordering 50% sugar for most drinks. If you prefer sweeter drinks, 75% sugar should be perfect. Unlike many other tea shops, reducing the sugar here doesn't make the drinks taste weak or boring. They still have plenty of flavor, richness, and a nice lingering aftertaste. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the consistency. Most drink shops usually have a few signature items that stand out while the rest are just average, but here almost every drink I've tried has been consistently delicious and high quality. Finally got to try this new Cha Redefine location in the Tawa Gateway plaza off Valley Blvd. Ordered the Mochi Taro with Jasmine Tea Jelly & Mango Mango. Both drinks were very delicious with the perfect level of sweetness (with adjustments). The taro paste could've been more blended and the mango chunks could've been sliced smaller, but other than that everything else was fine. Love the cute tote bag that comes with the drinks order. It's limited seating inside. Cute decor tho. They don't have a self-checkout kiosk which is a bummer. Only one person to take the orders. I came during grand opening weekend with bogo deals. I ordered the non caffeinated drinks since it was later in the day. I was impressed by the amount of staff working. They made the experience better because they were churning out the drinks at a reasonable time despite the long lines. My favorite drink that I've got from other locations is the Jasmine chapuccinno. The iced matcha latte is my absolute favorite . It's strong yet smooth with the perfect amount of sweetness . And they're very consistent with their drinks which is a plus . I order one at least 5 times a week. My only issue is the confusion over sizing . I was told by one of the employees that when you order a large size and add a cheese foam you get the large cup. Which is what I receive most of the time . But sometimes when I order it they make it in the small cup and look at me super confused when I ask for the large cup . I had the pleasure to be invited for media content and film their location as well as get exclusive opportunity to order drinks first hand. Joanna helped me take my order and boy was she such a hoot! Her energy set the bar for the business and right away I felt at home. The decoration is very tranquil and peaceful, but at the same time, lively with some pleasant background music. I wouldn't describe it as loud, but it has a nice sense of belonging when I stepped in. The staff was very well trained, and efficient on making their drinks. So upon ordering my drink, I received all four of it within less than 10 minutes. I ordered the cha cha hojicha, jasmine matcha foam, mango passion chill, and hojicha Einspanner for my drink and afterwards ordered the matcha and coconut gelato. Cha cha Hojicha - 4.5/5 this is a blended drink, and it might be due to that texture that it was not so much in my favor; however, it is very well blended and has great flavor to it. It does come with hand silk mochi that is made in house. I love that so much! My friend did order it and he gave it a. 5/5. Jasmine Matcha foam - 5/5 so they're Matcha regardless if it's foam or the drink is outsourced from Japan at a manufacturer that exclusively makes it for their business only. With that said, the drink was very well concentrated and mixed so well with the Jasmine tea. I did not change the suite level since their Matcha was mentioned that it's pretty concentrated with a little bit of sweetness and their tea was not sweetened. So when you mix it together, it was perfectly balanced and refreshing. mango passion chill - 4/5 my other friend actually ordered this and she rated it 5/5. To me it is a bit sour, but take that with a grain of salt because I am more of a sweet tooth than a sour or salty tooth. My friend loved it. I will say that the fruit and all the ingredients is freshly made in house to make the drinks. Hojicha Einspanner - 5/5 this was probably my favorite. Ho Chia is pretty much a longer roasted Matcha, which gives it a more earthy and bold taste of Matcha. With that said it's natural state is more on the bitter side and with the Einspanner foam on top, which is a sweet type of foam or cream, it made the entire drink perfectly sweet with a bold and slightly nutty taste from the Hojicha. Matcha and coconut gelato - 5/5 This location is one of the first to offer gelato as one of their food items. It was so good with the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness of both ice cream flavors. I do have to say the Matcha flavor does overpower coconut just a little bit, but that is my favorite flavor between the two. Today was their very first grand opening day, so if you didn't get a chance to stop by yet, I definitely recommend checking them out over the next two days! I happened to see it after my grocery shopping at 99 ranch and saw their specials. They're doing a BOGO deal on all drinks from May 8-10, plus some really cute freebies. The first 50 people in line get a tumbler, and the next 200 get to choose between a woven tote or magnet. Luckily I made it within the 200 people and got their large tote super cute. My sister ended up getting the magnet. We tried three drinks, all at half sweetness, and honestly every single one was good. * Coconut Longan Chew Bliss -- 10/10 This was definitely my favorite drink I've ever had from Cha Redefine. Super light, refreshing, and perfect for the summer heat. The flavors blended so well without being overly sweet. * Coco Strawberry -- 7.5/10 Very creamy and you can tell they used fresh strawberries. The agar boba added a nice texture, though personally I think I would've liked it even more with jasmine tea jelly instead. * Jasmine Chappuccino -- 6.5/10 Still a decent jasmine milk tea, but I personally prefer a much stronger jasmine tea flavor. The milk overpowered the tea a bit for my taste, but if the tea was stronger and the milk lighter, I think I would've loved it. I'm just super picky when it comes to jasmine tea. When I walked in, there was an amazing warm welcoming right away that already sets my mood off to a happy and the inside of the shop is incredibly aesthetic, which I love!! :3 The whole vibe is fun and inviting, with music that makes the space feel lively! I also really appreciate that they're open late until around 12a.m. and or 1 a.m. because it helps so much with my late‑night study sessions. They also have many outlets, a bathroom ( is very clean), and Wi‑Fi, which are all essential for me when I need to study for long periods of time. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to come back often, especially to bring friends and family. Their special drinks, kind service, and overall environment make it a great spot to hang out or get work done. I love how Cha Redefine has such a variety of different drinks from coffee, milk tea, fruit teas and matcha drinks.. even desserts! Some of my fave drinks to get is the blueberry oatmilk matcha, popping milk tea, and mango mango. There are also still a lot of drinks that sound really good that I haven't tried yet. I also like they have different promotions all the time as well. Currently, they have a BOGO deal after 11pm. The employees are really nice too and I also like how they have a little camera that you can take pictures at and it prints your photos on receipt paper. Tried the Jasmine chappucino and cha cha hojicha. Jasmine chappucino- opted for less ice and 50% sweet but the drink was extremely watered down and I could barely taste any sweetness. I get that it's supposed to be milky- hence the name chappucino, but it was so milky there's barely any tea taste. It was like drinking milk with a splash of tea. Cha cha hojicha - I wasn't sure what I was expecting here but the drink sounded interesting so I opted for it. Got 50% sweet but it was noticeably sweeter than the chappucino despite asking for the same sweetness level. This is ice blended. Again, same issue with the drink- very milky and extremely lacking in tea taste. I wasn't sure what I was drinking at all. The hojicha just wasn't there. They're very generous with the toppings, the barley popping pearls were a nice addition and I especially liked the mochi. It wasn't the best mochi I had before but at least it didn't have a weird aftertaste. Overall, I thought the drinks were really overpriced for the taste. I'm honestly not sure if I just got the wrong drinks but I would not recommend them. read more
