As mentioned, I'd ordered the Classic Mango Pomelo Sago ($7.79 - Large - Recommended 70% Sugar). I loved this same drink from the City of Industry location, so I knew what to expect. The flavor of fresh mango and chill coconut milk always soothes my throat and makes me feel reinvigorated. Also, its crystal pearls give a friendly "pop" whenever I bite into them. This drink continues to be one of my favorites. YUM! On ambiance, Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel) felt awkward. I don't know if Staff knew (perhaps from limited English) but the loud music on their speakers was rap with a lot of profanity and expletives. This music style was nonstop. It was surreal. Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel) is also very small with no visible bottle of hand sanitizer, no visible trashcan (I had to hand my trash to a Staff member), and no indoor restroom. It's a tiny, relatively clean place. There's only one short bench and one tiny table with two chairs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The tea was okay. We got a buy one get one free deal to try their new drinks. I would say the tea is mild and similar or not as good as the teas I can make at home. We tried the Longjing tea latte which is a type of green tea but better. We also tried the Longjing green mochi fresh milk tea. I didn't love the mochi but they weren't terrible. Being regulars of the City of Industry location we had to check this location out once it opened. We've been twice so far and both times we found it very hot inside as the sun hits the building in the late afternoon - not sure if they run the AC but we definitely didn't feel it! It's a small establishment so there's not many places to wait for an order. We ordered the premium jasmine tea latte at 30% sweetness. It's creamy yet balanced well as the tea flavor stands out. However the second time we went we found that it felt a bit more watered down than the first time. As for the wait, the first time we came it was super quick, but the second time we had to wait at least 15 minutes due to the volume of orders at the time. Very limited space to stand. Crowded with people waiting for their drinks and people in line to order from the kiosk. This place is more happening than ICI, Macu or Chicha San Chen in the same plaza. Took 35 mins to get my two drinks. Had to ask for it/about it 3 times. They did give me a coupon toward next purchase, but idk, it was a really long wait especially on a weekday night (not even on a Friday or weekend). Kinda wish I went to one of my "go-to"s, which are ICI (next door), UG (across the street) or many others in the vicinity. Auntea Jenny reminds me of Hey Tea, which took 45 mins to get our 3 drinks. However, places like Hey Tea, Molly Tea, 3Cat and many others have a lot more workers. They have a whole team of baristas and someone doing cashiering and pick up. That is what management at Auntea Jenny needs to do. Have multiple baristas making drinks and a dedicated worker/staff doing pick up and occasionally do cashiering.
