Do not go I walked in with incredible healthy long nails all for the lady to destroy then because she was too lazy to let them soak to get the dip off she made them paper thin with the mechanic file and gave me blood blister and broke the nails. Very sloppy and bad service. It was my husbands first pedicure and they did a mediocre job on both of us. The massage lasted less that 30 seconds I had to get a new pedicure 3 days later because the toe nail polish was painted so poorly on myself. I've been to nail salons all over Santa Monica and this one is definitely my go to. My manicure/pedicures always come out great (although not AMAZING, but good enough for the $35 price). Sometimes the job feels rushed, but other times it's better. I've had gel as well and it's always consistent. The color section is good and they even have some cool gel colors/nail art that I've tried. The staff is also super nice. The massages are hit or miss. I always request the same person so I always get consistently good massages. They use A LOT of pressure so if you like deep tissue/sports type massage this place is for you. Also 30 minutes for $35 can't be beat in this area. This is a no frills, keep your clothes on kind of massage, but if you need some quick care and don't feel like dropping major cash at a spa, this is the perfect spot. Lastly, they actually take credit cards (although tip in cash) which MOST of the salons on Montana do not, so that's a major plus. The only downside is that they don't have actual spa chairs so it's a bit uncomfortable to sit there for an hour. read more

One of the weirder experiences I have had getting a massage. I didn't think it was bad but I didn't think it was good either. The back room for the massage was small. Tables were low budget and the blankets were throws you would find on someone's couch. It did smell a bit weird at times and when you immediately walk in. The person next to me was sound asleep snoring quite loud and no one bothered to wake him up. The massage hurt at times and I tried to let her know but it didn't work out quite well for me. At the end of the massage as I was leaving, the lady who massages me asked for her tip. It wasn't one of the more organized establishments I've been to where you leave a tip with a receptionist. My friend had raved about how amazing the massages are here, so I decided to treat myself to one on International Women's Day. I was given an appointment the same day, and taken into my cubicle as soon as I walked in (5 mins early). The massage area and front main/pedi are separated by glass doors. My masseuse Lucy was absolutely amazing! She was very sweet, and asked me a couple of times if everything was ok. There are maybe 10 cubicles separated by curtains, so you can hear whispers here and there, but mostly everyone is courteous and quiet. All I could hear was the trickle of water from a waterfall, and the soothing soft music in the background. My only complaint is the itchy synthetic wool blanket on the mattress, and the itchy blanket they initially put on you. Next time, I will take my own towel to cover me and a twin size cotton mattress cover to sleep on. Note to the owner: PLEASE change the itchy synthetic wool mattress cover and blankets to 100% cotton ones! read more

My massage was ok but giving this place a one star and never ever coming back because of my experience. If you read other reviews on here- attitude is a major problem for this location. Upon check in absolutely nothing was explained to me- ex: take clothes on or leave off, face up or down, nothing! My original masseuse did not speak any English, which is okay until he started yelling at me in frustration because I couldn't understand him. When I asked anything at all he would ONLY respond in another language. I asked if I took my clothes off, he responded in another language. Should I lay, a response in another language. Once he finally stepped out and let me change he came back in to find me laying face down, since I was not given instructions I just kind of assumed- once he came back in he started freaking out, yelling at me in another language. At that point I was just super stressed out and confused and ran to the front to either ask for a different masseuses or a new appointment. The front desk girl was kind, she proceeded to have another woman (who gave me instructions) do my massage. She said the man was just having a bad day and he was grumpy that particular day. But it's like- you work at a spa, if you can't control your mood, don't show up for work! So the first time I came here I got some mani pedi and massage package, I can't remember the exact price but I believed I rounded it up to an even number for tip for all three service. Now mind you I do speak Vietnamese so I can hear the conversation that was going on. It came down to 19 dollars in tip for the 3 services and in my mind that's $10 for the massage, 5 for the pedicure, and 4 for the manicure. That is by NO MEANS a bad tip! Considering it's 20 for the pedicure and 15 for the manicure..... anyways the host for whatever reason could not bring herself to give 4 to one nail lady and 5 to the other nail lady (even though the services were different) so she decides to give them both 4.50----ok whatever I really don't care...however she could not find change....so instead of doing it the original way I thought... or finding change she decided in front of everyone to ask me to add another dollar for my tip so it would be "fair"... I was kind of offended but I had came here to relax I wasn't going to let a dollar ruin a mood..... It turns out the quality of the service was great my nails lasted longer than usual so I chucked it up to a weird situation. Today I came back... it was quite busy but I had made an appointment. They seem to take walk ins too so the lady I had was rushing through my mani and pedi. I didn't get any massage. I have been here twice. I really like this place for a few reasons: It's clean, it doesn't reek of nail polish remover, and the foot massage/reflexology services are top-notch. I got a pedicure the other day after my massage. I think she could have gotten my feet a little softer, since I paid $10 for callus removal...but she was meticulous and perfectionistic about my nails. My feet looked nice. My only major complaint has been the over-discussion of tips by the manager/person at the front desk. I realize the people working here rely on tips from patrons; I ALWAYS tip very well for a job well-done. The prices here are extremely reasonable, and leave you plenty of room to tip generously. However, I was asked four or five times whether I had TIPPED the person who did my massage, and then my nails. I found it to be really unprofessional. They need to figure out a different way to ask whether someone would like to include a tip on a credit card payment (if they haven't already tipped in cash). I tipped their people with cash and just felt really uncomfortable being asked so many times. I've never thought I'd say I did a massage in this place and it was the most stressful massage I could ever imagine getting. It seems like a JOKE. There was a lot of rubbing, tapping (?), pressing, and aggressively moving my body and towels all over my body. I had told her "this hurts a lot" because she was literally pressuring my spine down. It was almost as if the masseuse did not want to be there nor was knowledge enough about what she was doing. Nothing about it make sense. I literally had to ask her to stop massaging my feet!!! When in my life would have turned down feet massage?!? I swear. Also had to ask her to put some lotion on my body because the friction between her skin and mine was intolerable. It was a horrible massage in everyway. So, the front desk person might have realized how unsatisfied I was and decided to ask me how the massage was going in front of the masseuse which obvisouly is very unprofessional. Had she thought there was an issue, she should've told the masseuse to wait outside so she could gain perspective of the situation. I've had read good reviews about this place but it's unfortunate that I can't relate to one. Also, while you're getting massage there's people talking and moving things around which obviously isn't relaxing. I paid for the service and it's very unfortunately that they'r lose a client for such lack of care and professionalism. I tried my best communicating with the massuce so if anything, as a costumer, this whole situation is very unfair and unnecessary. Stephanie is still absolutely amazing! All of the nail technicians there are very talented. I usually see Stephanie and my mom goes to Teresa. She (my mom) is very high maintenance and everyone at Cha is always extremely professional and nice. You never feel like anyone is talking about you, or trying to sell you something you don't want. Great little nail spot! I haven't tried the massages yet, but the price is definitely enticing. I decided I needed to pamper myself recently and found Cha Spa on Yelp; I'm glad I did. The location is not set up like a typical nail salon with potentially-torturous massage chairs. Instead, it has a soft bench lining two walls and plenty of pillows to prob and support yourself with. The quality of the nail services is also worth mentioning. They are careful, leaving nails pristinely polished without spending a ton of time cleaning things up. I believe I paid between $40 and $50 for a superb manicure/pedicure. Would definitely come back and recommend. And next time, I'll probably add a massage. read more

Was looking for a place to go close by and convenient. Love that they are open late, and the have tons of therapists so you can call same day and Usually get an appointment. Highly recommend it! Only things I feel I must be fair and mention: it can be a bit loud when people are whisper (both patrons and therapists) but honestly I'm usually blessed out anyway. UPDATE: The massages are still great with the right therapists, but this update is for the nail services. Super disappointing, I have been here several times and they are really inconsistent.
