This place had the worst fried chicken i've ever tasted. They were not willing to let me exchange it for another meal.

This will be lengthy review but it would be beneficial for you to understand. I would only give 1 star because of the service that was provided. The line was so long and there was only one girl African girl who was handling the phone orders and take out orders. She was kind of loud and rude to other guests. One family already gave the order and went to her to get a Mango Lassi and she said "they have to wait again in line to order anything else because of their so called "policy" ". She then yelled grab the table or no food will be served". You have to doo everything by yourself from putting the table # to stand for 45 minutes to order and you have to make sure that you order enough so that you won't have to stay in line again. Wait.. it has not over yet. People who were standing in line for more than 30 minutes were not served any food. They were told to go next door and I felt very bad for them because they were diving down from Canada and wait for their turn only to tell them that they are out of food and they won't accept new orders. On the other hand, one customer who seemed to be friends with one person working had cut the line and ordered on the side. We can literally hear him giving the order. I would suggest to find other restaurant before they tell you they won't take your order or they are out of food. There service really really really sucks. Seen your money somewhere else. I would blame the management for this. read more

Their food is subpar except may be channa chaat. However, their customer service is the worst. I have been there 4 or 5 times. I recently went there and ordered Pani puri which didn't look appetizing to begin with, it had shells filled with cold potatoes and chick peas. Now, they are not supposed to be steaming hot, but they are supposed to be at least room temperature. When I informed the guy that it was cold, let alone offering to accommodate me, he argued with me in the most rude and condescending manner that this is how it's supposed to be, and if I don't like it that's a different story (exact words). I gave up on trying to get customer service and tried to eat the pani puri as I don't like to waste food; unfortunately, despite my best efforts I was unable to finish it and had to leave it half uneaten. We travelled for an hour to get to this place after reading great reviews but we were very disappointed. Food was substandard.

Extremely poor customer service. I came in and placed my order and they had trouble understanding what I wanted. When my order finally did come it was wrong and some items were missing. So instead of accepting their mistake and owning up to it the owner actually comes out and tries to blame me. The man came out defensive, I mean he come out basically with the attitude of "food was made, doesn't matter if it was wrong, it was made and it's going to cost me money to remake the correct item". He outright told me he would charge me again to make the CORRECT item. Extremely rude and outright stated he didn't care how rude he was being. Also the majority of their staff has trouble understanding English or Urdu. If I could give them zero stars I wouldn't hesitate. I LOVE this place. Being Pakistani, this food is familar and Chaat House is a staple everytime we go to Orlando. They have a huge variety, from Gyro to Nehari to chicken wings. Everything in chaat house is delicious! And not to mention Halal for those that are Muslim. read more

I visited Chaat house by mistake three years ago, but fell in love with the food. However, they do not believe in customer service, clean restaurant, clean restroom or even clean utensils. Good service, friendly waitress, cleanliness, etc., is very foreign to management. I was surprised in my last visit when the bill was high, I did not check the receipt at the restaurant and found out later that they have started adding GRATUITY as a part of the bill, and you are not being informed about it. So check your receipt for "AUTOMATIC GRATUITIES" BEING APPLIED BY THE MANAGEMENT. They are automatically applying 15% to any order any size, any number for the worst possible customer service that you get at the restaurant. Check the IRS ruling about "Automatic Gratuities" "Automatic gratuities" added onto the restaurant bills of large parties will be treated as wages and not tips starting January 1, 2014, as a suspended IRS ruling finally takes effect. Many restaurants add these charges to groups of 5 or 6 or 8 or more to prevent their servers from being undertipped when handling large parties. Under the IRS ruling, Rev. Ruling 2012-18, a sharper distinction is drawn between tips and service charges. Both are taxable but tips are reported and cashed out that day. Under the new rules, to be a tip: (1) the payment must be made free from compulsion; (2) the customer must have the unrestricted right to determine the amount; (3) the payment should not be the subject of negotiation or dictated by employer policy; and (4) generally, the customer has the right to determine who receives the payment. Automatic gratuities don't meet these criteria, so they would be classified as service charges. Employers would have to cycle these charges through their payroll system to distribute to servers, delaying payment by up to two weeks, and factor them into hourly wage rates read more

Amazing food, I had the best mix between Middle-eastern and Chinese food, I got the chili chicken and it was great, I'm getting it every time I come here, I also tried the fried rice, and it was well made, I absolutely love all of the food there. This place isn't even worth a star, but was forced to give it something. We are from out of town and heard a lot of good things about it. We decided to give it a shot and see what it is all about. The place did not look like the cleanest place, in fact it looks a little run down. From the looks of it there may be feces here. The food looked decent, but the customer service was terrible! I wish I could give this place a "0" because that's really what they deserve. Just because you think your product is good that doesn't give you the right to talk rudely to your customers. We ordered Karachi kulfi that has coconut on it. They brought it out without coconut. No biggie. I go to tell the server in a nice way that we ordered it with coconut and she literally rolled her eyes at me and gave me attitude about it. I guess it was my mistake to expect them to get my order right. Also, since it was my first time there, I wanted one small piece of jalebi to taste before I spent money buying an entire pound. All Mithai places I've been to have given me a small piece of jalebi for a taste check. Fine, you don't want to let me taste it before buying - tell me in a nice way, no need to be rude about it and this time it was the actual owner being rude. I lived close by and once a month I go there. In the beginning I loved this place, the food is always delicious and tasty. In last 2 months the taste and food is getting low grade. Last time I ordered haleem it was not edible, I told the person at counter but he ignored, he do not care at all. I am a food connoisseur so naturally I'm always looking for the next great Desi meal wherever I go. Chaat House delivers big! Portions are good, service is friendly, especially Asma, and the taste is great. We were a party of four guys and ordered dahi puris, club sandwiches, boti chicken, bihari chicken, chicken seekh kabab and a T-bone steak platter. Food arrived fairly quickly, perhaps that was a function of our late afternoon arrival. All entrees were served with fresh hot naan, side of salad and raita. Every item was delicious and that is not an exaggeration. We left a healthy tip to recognize the staff for their efforts. That speaks volumes of the service offered, which is generally non-existent at Desi restaurants. Should you be looking for good Desi food this place will not disappoint. read more

Let me preface my comments by saying that I do not normally post reviews on Yelp or anywhere. I am very easy to please and do not require too much maintenance. This was by far the worst food establishment that I have ever been to. Sure, the food may be half-decent, however I was treated with the most disrespect on almost all of the occasions. That is another aspect of restaurants I understand. It is not only the disrespect but a culmination of factors. I have been to the kitchen in the back, and their hygiene is absolutely terrible. I saw roaches and flies, along with none of the employees wearing gloves. Not only that but three consecutive times there have been mistakes with the carry-out order, the bill, etc. In this particular instance, less that half my food was given to me. The food that was brought to me was also incorrect. I live 30 minutes away, and only go there to appease my family, but after getting into it with the owner who barely speaks English, I vouch not only to never go again but to make other wary of this restaurant's terrible practices. read more

Exquisite food. Low quality service. Recommend coming here but be sure to bring some mosquito repellant. Come here often in Florida and am always pleased with the quality of the food. The chicken tikka boti is exquisite along with the nihari. The naan they have is amazing paired with raita. No complaints at all about the food. Sadly the decor, hygiene/cleanliness, and service of the place brings the rating down. The wait time for the bathroom is insane, and both men and women share the same bathroom which is filthy. The restaurant is extremely dirty, with flies constantly flying around and near your food. The service is terrible, and you have to constantly make sure the waiters know what you want as half of them are completely unaware of what is in the food they serve. Chaat was okay and overpriced for portion. Dessert we had pistachio kulfi which was just ok. They charged us 15% gratuity prior to receiving our food (you order and pay first then sit down and your food is served to you). All of us received our meals and were finished by the time the biryani plate arrived for one of our party members. We asked 3 diff servers multiple times about our biryani but every server would go and not return back to us. Eventually 30 mins later they served a soggy plate of leftover biryani. 10 mins later the group sitting next to us received a piping hot fresh plate of biryani. It would have been good to know prior to or after our order that the rice would require time. Having taken $15 in gratuity with such awful service was unacceptable. read more

We asked for mild spice since our kids were going to eat it instead got paneer masala had to convince the waitress that it's not chicken, then got our butter chicken with a few tiny pieces of chicken with very spicy hardly cooked sauce. This is the review written by a Orlando resident near to this restaurant. If any one considering to order sweets from this restaurant for a party or for pleasure, please read this review carefully. I made a huge mistake by ordering some sweets from this place for my son's birthday party on Dec-12-2010. When I went there to order, I asked for 90 peices of cream cutlets (Gulab Jamon with cream in the center). The lady at the counter (I guess she is the owner) didn't even told me what would be the total price of my order. She said they sell those by pounds and the total price will be revealed to me after making and weighing the order. I accepted it assuming that usually each piece will not be more than a dollar. But after 2 days I went there to pickup and pay for the order, To my surprise they told my total was $106 (which is more than a dollar per piece). I have no other choice than to pay. After eating the sweets, my guests at the party almost throwed up. They complained that the sweets have bad odor and I guess it is the because of bad oil they used. Also they are not soft, they are hard to eat and tasted very very bad. Over all, my order from this place was a terrible flop and my friends told me that they also heard that the sweets from this place are not at all good.
