Absolutely love this place--and so do my coworkers! This family-run donut shop doesn't cut corners. Everything is fresh, soft, and delicious every single time (sometimes I even catch them still warm!). The service is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take real pride in what they do. The apple fritters are incredible, but my personal favorite is the Old Fashion Sour Cream donut. They also have other classics like blueberry, Boston cream, and cinnamon rolls--all of them taste amazing. This shop is a true local gem. Their donuts and kolaches were really good. I got it to go and reheated it at home and it still tasted yummy. I even heated it up in the toaster the next day and still enjoyed the kolaches (there wasn't any more donuts for the next day though). I liked their sausage kolache the best. read more

Finally tried this place! I got a cinnamon roll and a marranito (Mexican gingerbread pig cookie if you are unfamiliar). I wanted to try an apple fritter and plain glazed donut, but they were sold out already at 9am!! The shelves were pretty empty for being so early. The woman at the counter was pretty unwelcoming and kind of rude when we asked if there were any plain glazed and apple fritters coming out...the cinnamon roll was very underwhelming. Mostly bread with hardly any cinnamon and very dry. The marranito was good but a little too cake-y. San Antonio is full of so many amazing panaderias... this one didn't really rank for me. It's definitely not terrible! Just not memorable, and didn't leave you wanting more. read more

The kolaches are tasty, but they are quite small and I think overpriced for their size. The bakery itself was cute, but they need to hire better staff. The woman at the front who helped me was awful, her bad mood contagious and it seemed like she was anxious to spread it around. I won't be going back. Bad people ruin even the best food. read more

I was impressed by the wide variety of pastries, donuts, pan dulce and kolaches they offered. The price was PHENOMENAL. I picked up three donuts, a crunchy cinnamon swirl (I apologize for not knowing the actual name of this treat) and a bag of day old cinnamon rolls and cinnamon knots. Everything was delicious! The donut was a "melt in your mouth" sort of donut, the crunchy cinnamon twist was perfectly sweet and cinnamon-y, and the cinnamon rolls/twists were light and fluffy. I picked these up to take with me to visit family, so I didn't try everything, but I got great reports on everything! Never time I stop by, I'm picking up kolaches and pan dulce :) read more

Who doesn't love when someone shows up at work with a dozen donuts? Today I'm going to be the one that shows up at work with that dozen. This place opened up recently and I have been wanting to try it out. It is conveniently located in the medical center on Callaghan and Babcock. I stopped by on my way to work to pick up some bakery treats. I was surprised to see that they also have pan dulce. The selection of donuts was limited, but I did notice they were just putting them out. They did have a big selection of pan dulce. They did not have any kolaches ready, but next time I will stop for some. This place is new and is locally owned. I am sure that once they get the hang of it, they will more to choose from and earlier in the morning. I will wait a few weeks and return for some more sugary goodies. read more

Ok so donuts are delicious but in a world of gimmicks and let downs this place doesn't have a gimmick it was. Piece of heaven on earth. The selection we chose might just be the best of what they have to offer. They were light and sweet not overly make you sick and not of it wasn't a treat but first food not it was perfection the danish cream was decadent and had me moaning everyone in our party was so quiet and that is no easy feat as we are a loud and excitable bunch yet there were nothing but soft cries of deliciousness. I learned recently that this new bakery shop has opened it's business to public. I stopped by three times so far between 620 and 630 AM on my way to work and they were closed even though the sign says open at 6 AM. At one time a lady came out and walked to my car to tell me that they are not ready yet. That is not a good sign for customers and I suggest to change the sign to 6:30 AM instead of making people wait or leave without getting their products. I am pretty sure it is a good place since they just opened but I am really willing to try it. Please don't take my review as negative yet it is just a suggestion. read more
