Come here for kolaches!! They are freshly baked in the mornings. Other pastries looked and smelled delicious. I got the jalapeno, sausage and cheese kolache. If I could, I'd eat a dozen. The bakery is clean and smells wonderful. Such a great way to start the day.

Cinnamon Roll

Finally tried this place! I got a cinnamon roll and a marranito (Mexican gingerbread pig cookie if you are unfamiliar). I wanted to try an apple fritter and plain glazed donut, but they were sold out already at 9am!! The shelves were pretty empty for being so early. The woman at the counter was pretty unwelcoming and kind of rude when we asked if there were any plain glazed and apple fritters coming out...the cinnamon roll was very underwhelming. Mostly bread with hardly any cinnamon and very dry. The marranito was good but a little too cake-y. San Antonio is full of so many amazing panaderias... this one didn't really rank for me. It's definitely not terrible! Just not memorable, and didn't leave you wanting more.

Barbacoa Kolache

The kolaches are tasty, but they are quite small and I think overpriced for their size. The bakery itself was cute, but they need to hire better staff. The woman at the front who helped me was awful, her bad mood contagious and it seemed like she was anxious to spread it around. I won't be going back. Bad people ruin even the best food.

Service was sweet and she had a lot of patience with us because we had no idea what to get. Food was all around pretty gas.

Great donuts. Amazing pastries. A+ service. What more could you ask for from a donut shop and bakery?! Seriously, though, this place deserves more attention. I was impressed by the wide variety of pastries, donuts, pan dulce and kolaches they offered. The price was PHENOMENAL. I picked up three donuts, a crunchy cinnamon swirl (I apologize for not knowing the actual name of this treat) and a bag of day old cinnamon rolls and cinnamon knots. Everything was delicious! The donut was a "melt in your mouth" sort of donut, the crunchy cinnamon twist was perfectly sweet and cinnamon-y, and the cinnamon rolls/twists were light and fluffy. I picked these up to take with me to visit family, so I didn't try everything, but I got great reports on everything! Never time I stop by, I'm picking up kolaches and pan dulce :)

Who doesn't love when someone shows up at work with a dozen donuts? Today I'm going to be the one that shows up at work with that dozen. This place opened up recently and I have been wanting to try it out. It is conveniently located in the medical center on Callaghan and Babcock. I stopped by on my way to work to pick up some bakery treats. I was surprised to see that they also have pan dulce. The selection of donuts was limited, but I did notice they were just putting them out. They did have a big selection of pan dulce. They did not have any kolaches ready, but next time I will stop for some. This place is new and is locally owned. I am sure that once they get the hang of it, they will more to choose from and earlier in the morning. I will wait a few weeks and return for some more sugary goodies.

Delicious No salt needed just bite and enjoy. The Barbacoa was prepared excellently removing all the fat, yet still moist and delicious.

I LOVE this place. There is such a large selection of donuts and breakfast items to choose from,…read moreeverything looks so delicious I wanted to try it all! There is also a good selection of drinks as well. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it makes the experience even that much better. The donuts are absolutely delicious, I had the matcha donut as well as the captain crunch, and bday cake donut. This is going to be my go-to donut spot now. I also got the opportunity to try the mango matcha refresher and OMG, it was so good and refreshing, especially during a hot texas summer. I look forward to coming back here and trying more things on their menu. I came as a part of yelp's hot matcha summer series, and I am beyond grateful to have been invited out here!

My wife and I also purchased the Captain Crunch donut to try. Since we visited about an hour before closing, it seemed like the staff was starting to wind down for the day. The matcha drink was definitely the highlight of the visit and had great flavor. Unfortunately, both donuts were cold and seemed a bit stale, which was disappointing. Overall, it was an average experience for me. I'd recommend visiting earlier in the day for the freshest donuts, and the matcha drink was worth trying.

This was a recommendation from our tour guide while on a trolley tour and boy was he spot on!…read more The shop is clean and to the point. It advertises its doughnuts in a few revolving glass tower. Not all look appetizing tbh because they are huge and display only BUTTTTTT I ordered an ugly one lol and I wish I had gotten two! I ordered a banana chocolate caramel and peanut doughnut. It was HUGE! Big as my head The flavor and textures were nothingggggg like I've ever tasted. It wasn't heavy and cake like. It almost favored a croissant but with more depth. The banana flavor was not artificial either. I wish I could explain how it took me by surprise and I doubt I'll find another like it. I will say it's THE BEST doughnut I've ever had. My husband had an Oreo one and loved his as well. He's a doughnut guy and idk if he's ever had one he doesn't like. Mine was so good I didn't want to taste his and I always eat his food Thank you to the young lady working the counter for the sweet recommendation on what to order May 29, 2026

We ordered a dozen plus 4 regular -- and first off, our dozen box looked like it had been thrown together from across the room. The box was just throw together rather than lined up gently (and without any parchment between the heavy, icing-covered donuts!) so by the time we got where we were going they were all stuck together and sharing icing flavors. Every haphazard donut stuck to the next. Unappetizing, I assure you. Secondly, after all that, they didn't even give us our four extra even though we paid for them.

We were given menus to look at while we waited so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The baked goods aren't on the menu, so when we walked by the counter filled with croissants, kouign amann, bear claws, apple pie, cheese cakes, it was hard to choose what we wanted!! We ordered: the Alamo Burger: a 8 oz wagyu beef smash burger , served with a fried egg, caramelized onions, cheese on a crispy croissant bun. It was incredible and worth the 15-20 minute wait! Almond croissant - a monster sized, flaky croissant with a generous almond filling. Guy Fieri highlighted this croissant on his DD&D show. It's probably a million calories not worth it! Tequila strawberry tres leches croissant - a small, cream filled croissant with strawberries. This was our least favorite. Aggressive drivers, anxious shoppers, and every retail worker putting in a Nikola Jokic triple-double. I understand it is a different beast of food service when it is December 24th. Christmas breakfast is what starts off your day before ripping through presents, and this year my parents thought Duck Donuts' Christmas-themed donuts would be a fun change of pace from the cinnamon pull aparts that we normally do. On Christmas Eve, we placed a mobile order on the Duck Donuts website, which requires a mandatory tip to order online, and we selected the ASAP option that said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. My dad, who was in charge of picking them up, said they were kind of behind and typically that was fine. However, as the donuts were coming out of the fryer, they were immediately decorating them with the icing and the crazy and unique Duck Donuts toppings. When the order was ready, my dad noticed that the dozen donut box was quite hot. Donuts are not usually served warm like that. When he got home to show them to us, all the designs of their gingerbread and other Christmas flavors had melted. All the creams had completely melted. It looked gross. We put them in the fridge to try and preserve them from melting any more, but only so much could be done to salvage them from their depressing state. It was a little tragic. I feel like this is a very rare occurrence from Duck Donuts, as we have had donuts from this location before and enjoyed them. It felt like the fault of Christmas special orders and the rush that led to a breakfast disaster from what was meant to be a special start of the morning. All things considered, the donuts were fine. They tasted okay, but they gooped up in your hands and just felt wasteful. For the price, you would hope they would not melt before you got home. Duck and cover donuts. RIYL: Specialty donuts, just not on December 24th.

At first, from the outside, I thought I was walking into a barbershop because of the door, but stepping inside was a fun surprise. The space is really unique--almost like a mini indoor shopping mall. The coffee shop is right at the front, but as you walk further back, there's a barbershop and a few other small shops to explore. Despite all that, it still has a chill, relaxed vibe.
