Paola is amazing all around. Transparent, efficient, and meticulous. You can tell she's a hard worker and will get the job done right, she genuinely wants to help and has your best interest in mind. I had a burst pipe in my kitchen and had to have my cabinets rebuilt and my floors replaced on top of all the drywall that needed to be put back. During the first assessment, she explained very thoroughly the step by step process with the insurance and the approval process. She made sure to be very clear about what her documents entailed and how she and her team would handle any insurance questions or inquiries. Once the approval was confirmed, she set up a timeline and was extremely detailed to make sure I was ready and knew what to except during the rebuild process. Once the job was finished, not only where they done early & I got my kitchen back, but she came and did a final walkthrough (after the many she did through the process) to ensure that my home was back to normal and up to my standards. The team she manages knows their craft very well and all are very respectful. I felt like my home was respected the whole time I was working with Champion. I couldn't recommend this company enough. Very happy with the quality of work performed by Champion Restoration. Paola is the real deal, and what you see is what you get with no hard sales pitches or fanciful promises. She's very meticulous, organized & conscientious about providing high quality work. An upstairs bathroom flood required us to go through the insurance water damage restoration process for a flooded bathroom and kitchen. We met Paola during the flood mitigation process, and right from the start, I was impressed by her professionalism & experience. On the first day we met, she assessed the scope of work required in both the bathroom & kitchen, and also noted some damage in the hallway that I didn't see. She did a very thorough accounting, and then returned the following morning to meet with the insurance adjuster to answer the adjuster's questions. Not only did I think her pricing was fair, but my insurance company considered her scope of work to be an excellent value. Paola manages teams of skilled labor, including tile flooring, drywall experts, painters, cabinet builders & general contractors. She also stayed in regular communication with me, dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's throughout the entire process. I was also pretty happy that she stayed on top of her timeline estimate, and the entire project started April 26 and completed June 12. There were zero surprises, and I'm thrilled with the high quality of work both upstairs & downstairs. The bathroom never looked better, and the kitchen is absolutely gorgeous. My new kitchen cabinet construction is actually better than original, with solid wood shelving to replace the sagging contractors grade shelves original to the house. When there was a minor problem with my flooring after, they came and fixed it for free even though it was not their fault. Paola handled the repairs needed after our water heater flooded our garage. Because the water heater was on the same platform, it had to be replaced. The HVAC unit had to be removed and reinstalled. I recommend calling and getting an estimate of what should be repaired. read more

I don't even know where to start, it has been a horrible frustrating experience. Paola is a horrible person when it comes to being a contractor. This company overcharges for a tiny sheet of drywall, and they take advantage of people when they are going through frustrating situations such as a boiler bursting, by placing a highly overpriced contract and then they don't even finish the work that they start. Our boiler burst in October, and we called SDGE through the energy savings assistance program because they had told us before that we would qualify for a "free boiler." Ha. What a mistake I made in calling them. SDGE sent a technician to inspect our boiler, and are enough they told us that we need a new water boiler because it was unusable and dangerous to use, bla, bla. So , the SDGE technician sent over a water damage restoration company, ULtra Dry. Ultra Dry put a fan to dry the boiler room which was situated outside our house, and Ultra Dry placed a temporary boiler outside our house. I assumed that Ultra Dry would be the ones in charge of taking care of everything, but no, then they brought in Champion Restoration which honestly seemed shifty at this point and i wondered why did they bring on another company. the boiler situation? Either way, since we needed to get the problem fixed, I spoke to Paola from Champion restoration and she told me that the contract would be $3,000 and she said it would include installing a new boiler and putting up drywall, basically she made it seem like it would all get done. So I agreed because I wanted to get this job done as soon as possible. My husband and I we don't have a lot of money, and we've put in so much money into fixing our 1936 house. But we managed to scrimp up $1,000 for the of our house insurance to pay Champion Restoration, because they immediately wanted to get out house insurance involved. We paid Paola in credit cards and in cash totaling the $1,000 deductible, and she never even wanted to provide me with the receipts. I had to constantly remind her by text to provide me with the receipts of the payments that I made towards the deductible. I feel that when you pay for something, as a company you should provide receipts to your customers right away, and customers shouldn't have to ask for the receipts. That was the first red flag that something wasn't right, but after finally so much telling her, she finally gave me all my receipts. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to send a text message image of a receipt??? Then, after I paid Paola the $1,000 deductible, all they did was place one small sheet of drywall in the water heater room. That was it, that didn't go back to do anymore work at all. I have text message proof of all the times that I asked Paola when she was going to send somebody to go finish up the work, because it's a small boiler room and that was a small sheet of drywall. I paid them $1,000 deductible, and they didn't paint the drywall or anything. All that Paola wanted was for my house insurance to pay her more money, even though I paid them $1,000 and they did basically only a sheet of drywall. Ultra Dry had been paid for the temporary boiler by my house insurance, and honestly I don't see how that small sheet of drywall was worth $3,000. They revised to finish the job and , this was in the beginning of October. I texted Paola constantly asking her what's going to happen , when will the job get finished. All she kept saying was they're waiting on the house insurance. Paola never updated me on what was going on, never said to me when they would finish the job. Nothing. October 18 was the last time I had texted Paola, and at that point I decided to give up and count the $1,000 as a loss because clearly Champion wasn't going to do any work with regards to my boiler. So I had to take it upon myself to buy a new water heater and water heater installation kit from the home Depot, because too much time was passing by and nothing was getting resolved. So I paid my dad and his neighbor to install our water heater, because Champion Restoration failed to keep their end of the bargain. Champion Restoration is a scam and a fraudulent company. $3,000 for drywall, let alone a small sheet of drywall for a small boiler room that's not even fancy and it's not even large, they overcharge and they do use fear tactics by customers saying they will put a lien on your property. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. This company is horrible, they don't complete their work that they promise, they overcharge, and they will immediately try to get you to involve your house insurance because that way they can try to overcharge you more.
