I've given this place a few tries - but have never been impressed. I love fresh spring rolls and these are easily the most bland, strange rolls I've had anywhere. The food has a flavor that get better when it's the leftover from yesterday so I think they use mono sodium glutamate ..so I asked the next time I went . Hands down best Pad See Ew I've ever had. We got the pad see ew, pa-naeng curry, and fried tofu. All vegetarian. A complete rip off. Ordered the seafood medley, 17$ for less than a handful of bite-sized seafood pieces, instead a giant box of green beans and onions. When they packaged the order for door dash they just put the liquid sauce in the take out box instead of in a to go cup so it was pooled in the bottom of the plastic bag and soaked everything making a HUGE mess. The sticky rice (the 17$ doesnt include rice to make matters worse) was so dry in the middle god only knows how long it had been sitting out or how old it was. I shouldve listened to the bad reviews. This restaurant clearly isnt passionate about what they do and it's clear by the way they handle their food. Good Food, Unhappy Staff I have dined in at this place a couple of times and both times the food and service were quite good. I decided to return and order to-go. The person taking my order seemed upset. When I asked if I could have certain items omitted from my dish which I did on my last two visits the person told me "we won't do that for that dish" then proceeded to point me in the directions of dishes that could be modified. I decided to try something new, ordered one of the dishes which I was allowed to make omissions on, got my food home, and discovered they included the items which I requested to be left out anyhow. By that time I didn't want to go back and deal with the person taking my order, largely because I didn't want to deal with the person who originally tried to take my order. If you choose a job in the service industry, your job is to be at least pleasant. If you can't do that, fake it better. I won't be returning on account of service. read more

We love this place. I have had Thai from tons of different places but this particular restaurant ranks high up there with the best of them. Vegetarians, go for the Veggie Drunken Noodles. You won't be disappointed. As an added side note though, their food spice can be pretty hot. I just had some yellow curry, pad Thai and steamed right delivered. The yellow curry came in a container which was 99.9% all juice. Just a few slices of chicken, one piece of potato and 3 slivers of carrot. The pad Thai was ridiculously spicy. The only this that was made decent was the steamed rice. I am so disappointed. The food is always incredible. The service is quick. Our favorites are the pineapple rice with shrimp, and the red tofu with three chilies.

I wanted to give Chandra a fair shot, despite being a huge fan of another local Thai spot. On my first visit, I tried my favorite, the yellow curry, and was sadly let down as it was terribly bland. I moved on to the drunken noodles on the next trip and they were so good I went at least once a week for weeks to get my fix! Unfortunately, I noticed a pattern when ordering and picking up of unfriendly wait staff... I continued going despite this, as the dish really is fantastic! But ultimately, this pattern continued, some days worse than others and I eventually stopped going a few weeks ago. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not terribly fond of feeling like an annoyance when trying to order from an establishment! Maybe we'll be back, and hopefully next time we will feel a little more welcome. read more

This is hands down the best Thai food in town, and we have eaten at all of them. No other Thai restaurant compares to the freshness, flavor, and spice. Authentic Thai food at its' best!! This is my local Thai restaurant. They are consistently great! O highly recommended thoer hot and sour soups. Best thing on the menu.

They have happy hour from 4-6 monday to Thursday. $6 each for these tasty treats. The service is wonderful, food is presented beautifuly. My new fav Thai place! read more

I want so badly to like this place as it's one of very few Southeast Asian restaurants in the county, but this was probably the worst Thai food I've ever had. My meal was very basic, cashew chicken with jasmine rice and a dessert of mango and sticky rice. All the rice was incredibly gummy and lacked the typical floweriness of jasmine, the cashew chicken was just a brown blob with canned sliced carrots. Zero spice and absolutely no flavour. The mango with sticky rice had great mango, but the rice was just awful. I tossed most of my meal unfortunately, hopefully it's just a fluke. read more

Extremely disappointed. Pad Thai was very dry and not tasty at all. Pork was dry and tough. Egg rolls were like they were bought in the frozen food section of Raleys and heated up in a micro wave. Whoever the young woman was at the counter claiming to be "manager", I feel sorry for you. I've never been treated so horribly in a restaurant. Saw other customers she turned away (AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING) leaving shaking their heads as well. She wouldn't give me her name, and I said "So you know what you're doing is wrong?" and she smirked and nodded. Disgusting. Ordered the green curry with jasmine rice to share with my mom for lunch, I'm no Thai food expert, but I definitely enjoyed our meal! It was nice and hot and a good amount of spicy, and easily enough to feed both of us! I came by this surprise package, while making a trip visiting Nevada City. After a week of junk food, pizza, and other bland taste, we were really want to get some Thai spicy. We checked out Sopa first, since it was close by, but the queue was very long. So we decided to check out Yelp, and drove by to pick up beef basil with fried egg, tomyum noodle Thai style. Just need to disclose that I am Thai native, so usually we judge if Thai place is decent enough by just ordering a staple dish like Beef Basil, which I did. The result was probably one of the most authentic taste around, almost comparable to those top Basil street vendor place in Bangkok. I talked to the owner, and learned that she just have this place for two months. So if you like authentic Thai taste, here should be a good place for getting one in this area. I am sure will stop by again. Note: if you want the real authentic one that not too spicy, asked for Beef Basil with only Thai Basil leaf, nothing else.
