Incredible. We just had Chan's for the first time tonight, and it was crazy delicious. Tasty!!! We stopped here by chance and were very glad we did! Great food, big portions and great price. My son said the orange chicken was the best he had tasted. Decided to give them a try for some delivery. Ordered some basic Chinese food staples, Broccoli Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork and Chicken Chow Fun. We were happily surprised to get some steamed rice that was tasty. (No wonder it was not on the menu). The rest of the food was less flavorful than the rice. I am sad to think Covid has ruin this place more than I had thought would be possible. Ordered pork stir fried noodles, Grease everywhere. When taken out of the bag " takeout" had grease all over my fingers. Suddenly I thought to myself , This is not going to be good. Mushy noodles, grease all over my lips with a layer of grease on my tounge. My 6 year old son said Yuck too slimy! From the start this place was behind, took a few minutes for us to be greeted by the server. Once we ordered our food, it took 30+ minutes for it to come out. When the food came out, it came out in big portions. The downside? The noodles were completely bland, no taste. The chicken was coated with sauce but also had no taste. It's not horrible by any means! We got a big to go order on Saturday night. No parking first of all, very small lot. It was also packed. We took that as a good sign. Problem was by the time we got home the sweet and sour chicken was just an oily mushy mess. Probably would have been ok fresh. The sweet sour chicken didn't taste all that fresh and I think it was the oil? The other combo items were a lot of yummy vegetables, which were very good. I haven't been to Chan's in years but thought I'd give it another try. I was really excited for Chinese food and ate my fill and started to box up my leftovers. As I boxed up the leftovers I found a hair at the bottom of my food. I mentioned it to the waiter and was blown off like it wasn't a big deal. We had already paid, I wasn't looking for a free meal. Maybe an acknowledgement? His reaction was so strange like I planted there myself. My family of 20 has a tradition of Chinese food for Christmas. this place made it horrible. they had a prepared menu with only two meal selections we ordered 6 meals from each selection we waited for 1 hour before we got water and silverware, my wife had to find the waiter to place the order, they asked if we wanted it to go. when they meal finally got the meal out the portions we so small and we didn't receive all the food on the prepared menu and the beef-n-broccoli was cold three more items on each menu wasn't even served. they wanted us to pay full price, never again read more

Where do I start? Let's see, the portions? They're beyond re-donkulous! Everything I have had here is portioned out for 2 homo sapiens, but priced exceptionally for 1. That alone should question everything. But, wait...place your hesitations and stereotyping aside. This place is good compared to it's local competition(which I will not mention due to copy right infringements) It's obviously catered to non-Chinese public(due to the high populations in town), thus being quite flavorful to those with a "meat n potatoes" palate. I've been fortunate enough to grow up with temperate/accepting taste buds, and really enjoy the flavor savor here. Again, in contrast to local Chinese eateries, I just prefer Chans over others. Day 3 left-over Chans have developed "mudd butt" in the past, but day 3 anything leftovers can give you similar results. I amore the hot & sour soup, mother's chix, and noodle dishes. Give it a shot. I guarantee you can't eat $20 worth of food by yourself(unless you have an accompanying twin, which is still attached to your side, secretly under your t-shirt/button up/Patagonia jacket. Loved the dinner. We used to go somewhere else that has become a huge disappointment. Tried Chan's for the first time tonight and was pleasantly surprised. The curry chicken was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. Disappointed my husband but not me. I don't like spice and it had good flavor. Big big portions!!! But we love leftovers! . I will open this post by saying that I've been coming here since I was five (5) years old so there may be a bit of sentimental bias, but the standard at which I hold all Chinese food is set against the very high bar Chan's has set. Without fail, every single time, they serve the most savory, rich, filling, hugely portioned meals consistently and perfectly, every time. In the two decades I've been a patron of this restaurant i have NEVER walked away hungry or dissatisfied. There is no other Chinese restaurant in bend that comes close to their quality and customer service, and I hope to someday take my children to Chan's and let them experience this wondrous kitchen. You totally get your monies worth and the service is so awesome! Open's after 11am and be sure to be there for lunch because it's inexpensive as well for their lunch menu's. From what I'm reading, people disliked certain foods at Chan's. I can't say that I have tried many of their foods, but I'll tell you what I know. I don't try other things, because two of their menu items are so dang good. Mother's Chicken and plain old Orange Chicken. Their orange chicken is good, but their mother's chicken is the best chicken recipe I've ever had, every time. The portion sizes are enormous. If you go with somebody, you can each order something different, try each other's foods, and both go home with lots of leftovers. Also, my friends tend to try other menu items out more than me, and they have never said anything along the lines of "I wish I had ordered something else". Chan's chinese is your typical american chinese style cuisine, except, better. The amount of food you get for your money, and the quality is far better than fast food places such as Mr Chow's or Panda Express. So while the food may not be as tasty as some very authentic cuisine, it's excellent value for the money, and you're guaranteed to have left overs for another meal. read more

Chans opened back up today, and i went for lunch with a friend. I got my food after only a 30 minute wait while my friends food took another 30 minutes to arive. My chicken was cold, bland, and the fryer oil was rancid. My friends food was mediocre, and we almost walked out. The power kept failing and the wait staff were very slow.
