I give this place a solid 4.5 stars after 2 visits for to-go orders. The fish & ingredients are fresh & tasty. I really appreciate the freshly fried wonton chips & tempura shrimp that are packaged in separate containers with air holes to prevent getting soggy. The topping options are plentiful with many unique items that aren't at other typical poke places, such as half a boiled egg, kimchi, mango, broccoli, habanero masago, & others! Portion scoops are generous. The place is clean, & the service is friendly & helpful. They are very accommodating about sampling sauces & making sure you're satisfied with the amount of sauce. My only critiques are that for my personal preference, the seaweed salad is seasoned a little too much on the sweet side. Also, my visits have been during summer evenings & the inside of the restaurant is very warm, much too warm for me to want to stay to eat. But this is definitely my new go-to poke bowl place even though we have to drive a ways to get there. read more

*this review is for DoorDash only not dine in* I love this place; I've ordered delivery via DoorDash probably about a dozen times. Have never been in person so can't speak to that experience. It is so good and craveable, the sauces are amazing, the fish is always fresh and they put a lot of protein which I appreciate. Unfortunately my orders are always incorrect and missing toppings or sides/drinks. They are very inconsistent with how much sauce they put on sometimes it's super dry and sometimes it's drowning so I request it on the side but, almost never get any sauces on the side and who wants to eat poke with absolutely no sauce? Tonight I was missing all of these ingredients: edamame, sesame seeds, jalapeño masago, furikake, kimchi :( the bowl was only about half full barely any greens or the toppings they did include. Got my sauce on the protein but not on the side. It still tasted amazing and had a lot of fish it was just disappointing because poke isn't cheap especially when having it delivered. read more

I had a regular bowl with the Chaodown mix and spicy tuna. My husband had a large with the Chaodown mix, yellowtail, and octopus salad. Everything was delicious! Super good! This our go-to poke spot from now on. We picked up our order last night, but we got two different time instructions from the google order form (originally it said 14 minutes, but then I received a text saying 40 minutes? That was a bit confusing). It was clean inside, but during Covid theres not much else to talk about. I got raw salmon and raw tuna. The fish was fresh, the other ingredients were tasty (The seaweed salad was really good). My mother ordered seared fish in hers, however it turned out to be cooked when we got it home, which was a little disappointing. We'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that maybe we waited too long, and maybe it got more cooked while it sat in a warm bowl of rice. My father got the Korean spicy chicken bowl, which was apparently so good that he is now begging to go back for more! Sushi!!! We love poki and stumbled on this place when we were at Sutter Roseville. They stayed open later for me as I walked in at closing time. Super good fresh fish and toppings and they are generous with the portions. I love that they have Mango!! I like the sweet mango with spicy tuna And sriracha sauce. First, found a few items on the menu to be unclear by just ordering off of the website. There's no description of some of the items on the site or pictures of the menu for those picking up and not building their bowl in person. But just FYI: "Spicy Tuna" is tuna marinated in spicy sauce not the paste like spicy tuna you find on sushi rolls. "Sweet Pickle" is pickled daikon not sunomono (Japanese cucumber salad). "Chili Oil" is the kind of chili oil with lots of pepper flakes in it (more like a paste) and not just the oil drizzled on top. Second, found the food to be just okay. Small portions of fish and could hardly taste the sauce (I ordered Ponzu). Overall, nothing stood out and didn't meet my high expectations. read more

First time ever trying Poki, I knew this would be dangerous and I'd become obsessed and it would be unhealthy for my wallet.... but it was so worth it. I work across from it so I always see people in and out of there and it's always been so tempting so I finally tried it out, and it was extremely delicious. Their house sauce is yummy & the sweet spicy one too. So many amazing toppings, everything is so flavorful. We got a teriyaki bowl as well and it's very good. The service is always fast, efficient and friendly. You get a lot for your money here, portion sizes are what you expect for the pricing. The plus is that they don't charge an extra fee for toppings like seaweed salad like most other places do. Good, but pricey maybe? I'm in the Roseville are for the immediate future and trying out different places. I absolutely love poki and can eat it daily. Chaodown poki is pretty decent, I'd say. It's one of the few places that have hard boiled egg as a topping. Kimchi too. They gave a decent amount of protein (I got 2 scoops). Everything tasted fresh. I've had better poki, but this hit the spot. I'll probably go back if I'm in the area longer. I think the only thing is it seems to be maybe a dollar or two more than usual for me. By far one of the best poki places I've been to in the Greater Sacramento area. Tastes fresh and sauces are super flavorful.

Stopped on the way home to the bay to get my favorite dinner. I am a poke snob and this was just what I needed. They have a couple of unusual toppings like broccoli and tempura shrimp, as well as some great sauces. The extra veggies were perfect for my cold. They also had tiny orders of potstickers and other cute sides! The best place about this though, is the service. Right across from work which is dangerous since I've been here more than a few times already on my lunch break. This place is another one of my favorite poke places except in the Roseville area. I love their spicy Korean sauce which I add on too my rice. Their fish is always fresh and we just tried their spicy Korean chicken and that is really delicious as well. Definitely gotta try that. Grab a plus one and share half and half if you need to because you'll want to try the spicy Korean chicken which has an amazing flavor packed to it. I ordered for pick up on my lunch break. I showed up 10 minutes later and my order was ready to go, which is awesome since I only have a 45 minute break. The poke bowl was packed with a generous amount of salmon and tuna Chao Down mix, and all the toppings were fresh and delicious! I was especially impressed with how much seaweed salad they put on- I've gotten less at different restaurants ordering it al-la carte for 8 dollars than I got as a topping at ChaoDown. Cute little restaurant in a strip mall by Early Toast. Prices are reasonable - got the regular bowl with two scoops and was very full because of all of the toppings. My husband got the x-large and couldn't finish. I got the Chaodown mix which was salmon and tuna mixed with sweet unagi sauce. There is a lot to choose from the unlimited sides and toppings- the standouts are the half egg, seaweed salad, imitation crab, and edamame beans. I also like it topped with wonton strips and shallots. The young lady who worked there was very patient and nice in waiting while we decided. We got so many toppings the bowl was full to the top.
