Honestly, this place is okay. One of the issues that I've had with this particular place is that depending who rings you up, you will get charged differently. My favorite local bakery for pan dulce. Others may be closer, fancier, bigger, and better known - but this place consistently puts out the freshest pan dulce. Not sure what is going on with the comments about bad customer service, but I've never experienced it nor witnessed it. The only issue I have is the small, shared parking lot. This spot is always on point I see reviews saying the bolio isn't hot well of course it ain't by the time you get to your house it's cold!! Best conchitas and sweet bread. They are always busy but they keep baking bread all day long. Which means you can get fresh warm bread anytime. The ladies behind the counter aren't always the friendliest but I guess they don't have to be when their bread is a good as it is. Yeah the bolillos are alright (not warm) but the lady's at the front BOTH give SO MUCH attitude. The best? Def not, but they do make some pretty bomb pan dulce! We stopped by as it is near my wife's family house and well... pan dulce tastes good at all times of the day. The shop is teeny tiny, there is enough room for like 10 people inside without moving around. When we stopped by there was pretty slim pickings when it came to the bread, but we were able to gather enough to satisfy everyone's fave pan (mine happens to be the guzano and cuerno). The have all the basics: bolios, conchitas, galletas and nothing too fancy that you see sometimes at other panaderias. The bread was soft, meaning it was pretty fresh. First time going here was today. I was looking forward to trying their pan dulce. They were out of the small conchas on their shelves so my mom saw that one of the bakers had a few cookie sheets with some freshly baked ones but a baker told her they needed to cool off to wait 5 minutes And placed them in the back somewhere. We waited for about 15 minutes and they never brought out the small conchas. Some other lady asked another lady who worked their for 30 small conchas, that lady told her to get in line and ask for them at the register. So my mom and I decided to do the same as my mom said they had a few baking sheets with small conchas and we only wanted 8. The lady at the register was so rude and just careless she said they didn't have any small conchas but yet sold 30 to the other lady and tried telling us she placed an order for them. When my mom told her the baker told us to wait 5 minutes for them she said he didn't know what he was talking about. I ended up leaving with no pan dulce. I refuse to spend my money somewhere where some lady who doesn't like her job is rude and not good with customer service. There's way to communicate with customers and that lady should not be dealing with customers. With that being said I'll never go back to this establishment. All and all I went back to the bakery with the cold tamales that we kept in the fridge until I got off of work and was able to talk to the owner and he deeply apologized and gave me a full refund . So maybe they just had a bad day that day . When I would go to rehearsals at SH, I would always drive by and see a line outside of this bakery. I caved in and got in line one day, and this is the best bread ever! They always make fresh bread every few minutes or so because it always goes fast! It's super soft, and doesn't get hard or ugly as fast as other bakery bread tends to do. The 5/5 is for the conchas and chilindrinas. I don't like their elotes much. Lately the long is super long every time I drive by. For día de reyes you had to wait in line for about 1 hour to get a rosca. My daughter begs us to go at least once a week for chilindrinas. The best bakery around. Get here early when the bread is fresh out of the oven and still on the trays. Not only do they make great conchas but they also have cuernos, tortugas, elote, and nidos. So today my mom goes inside and she is waiting for the bread to come out and this lady josefina tells her to go outside of the bakery and wait until the bread comes out but she was not the only one waiting but yet she only told my mom. So my mom told her kindly why was she telling her if there was other people there waiting. So this lady josefina told her that if she wants she can bring the bread out when she feels like it... My favorite has been their turnovers, especially the pumpkin ones. their bread is not greasy or oily either. Nor overly sugary. They run out fast though, so be sure to get there in the morning or the early afternoon at the latest.
