My mother ordered some kind of pasta with stake, she said it was really bad. So bad that she tried to add some flavor to it by adding a little bit of the chimichurri sauce to it, but still bad. First time here, HORRIBLE. Costumer service was really bad by "Jose H" . I asked for water 3 times. Never got it. When the food arrived we had to ask for utensils and napkins. Stepping into this establishment was easily and by far the worst decision i've ever made. First of all, the waiter took a good 20 minutes to take our order. My first mistake was ordering a quesadilla. It was a disgusting abomination. Had absolutely zero flavor. The sour cream was extremely watery and tasted expired. The quesadilla itself was just as sad. There are few times where my food experience have been worse than this. Sat us down in a dirty table and they cleaned around us. We sat for about 10 minutes and asked several servers who our server was before we finally got someone. When our food arrived the steak was undercooked so we sent it back. We were told we would get our sauces and napkins and never did. We waited for about 15 minutes before our steak got returned to us with still no sauces or napkins. The place catches your eye because is latin cusine. Once you get there, there is no host to lead you to your table so you just gotta find your own table and wait to be noticed a few minutes ago (that's fine) the waiters have no sense of service. They try to pass over you, bumping into you, instead of just let the customers pass first and then they can proceed. We went inside since outside it's the smokers area. Inside is hell, there's smoke on the grill everywhere, the ambience is very dark and melancholic (nothing vibrant) we were extremely hungry and that poor lightening was driving us crazy, you feel trapped inside a crackhouse basement. The menu is very flexible and there's variety too. The waiter guy took our order, but 20 minutes later he came back asking if we got our food already. And our table was empty! (You're our waiter, what kind of question is that? ) He comes back 5 minutes later saying our food was not ready due Saturday rush hour, and that it will take another 20 minutes to be ready. (No sense at all) (It would have been good if he would have just said that he forgot to give the chef our order. This place is at Dolphin Mall in the area where they have the entertainment stage. That means that when they have a band playing there it could get loud! The food: It was OK. I had the worst meal in decades here the other night. The so called steak was blander than bland. I had to put a parade of salt on it to even swallow it. If I hadn't been so starving I would have left after one bite. In hindsight I should have. The salad was comprised of a few limpy green leaves, about 3-4 rings of onion and a tomato slice that was only red if you squinted your eyes. The only thing they couldn't screw up was the fries. It's a sit where you want place so that was cool, but we were never offered drinks. The waiter came to take our order and walked away still not asking what we'd like to drink. About 20-30 minutes has gone by at this point. The food was served by someone else. Still no drinks! I literally walked up to a manager to complain. We were out looking for a spot to watch the UFC195 fight and ended up at Dolphin Mall. I was hungry and was looking for some wholesome yummy dinner with rice and beans without a big price and noticed this little spot in the cut. It's at the center of the pavilion area where the Cheesecake Factory is. We decided to give it a go before we sat down outside at Buffalo Wild Wings to see the fight. They had plenty of seating inside and out of the restaurant and the server was at the door ready to seat us. We decided to sit inside and was pleasantly surprised that they have inside and outside tvs but if your looking to watch a sport this was not the place. They came to us and handed our menus and brought our drinks out quickly they gave us a few minutes to look through the menu. I ordered a rice that is cooked with red beans (Gallo Pinto) and a grilled chicken breast that came with a house salad. It was delicious with lots of flavor the chicken was cooked to perfection not dry at all. My boyfriend had ordered a chicken breast that was breaded with the same rice with red beans and ordered on the side some tostones which is a fried banana. Our server passed several times to fill up our water. The bill was a total of $23.00 which was not bad at all for the amount of food we got and quality. The server was quick to bring us the check and had the option to add the 15% gratuity which was an (option). After we were done paying they gave us a two coupons for a second time for a 11% percent discount. Great spot if your hungry and want something quick to eat and wont break the bank. They only thing about this place is the Malls parking space that will take you a while to find a spot and prepare to walk. I would definitely recommend this spot and will come again. read more

So than, somewhere around May 7 we had lunch at @@CHARCOALS LATIN GRILL at the Dolphin mall, Miami. Food wasn't so bad and the service was with a smile. The bill came to USD 47.87. But when checking the receipt against the CC statement we found out they had charged USD 92.93 on our card. So now the question: is this an honest mistake or did someone at the restaurant helped themselves to a handsome -extra- tip? Would it be the latter it would amount to fraud. I would love for CHARCOALS LATIN GRILL to tell me their side of the story of what happened to receipt 021976 on May 7, 2018, and hear their suggestion how to make it right.
