Great Food & Friendly Staff.. I Would Definitely Recommend This Place To My Friends & Fam..

I have found some of the best little restaurants simply by taking a chance and stopping in for a bite. I got to my Ortho Surgeons Office early because I wanted to beat the down pour of rain. I had time so I drove down Euclid and pulled in when I saw a KFC. That is when I saw Charlie's Philly Steaks. Wow, what a fantastic place to eat. Get the original Philly Steak sandwich and spice it up a notch with their Saracha Mayo. Also they have this stuff called Fries Sauce which is a bit sweet but combined with the sandwich and thick cut fries you have a Gourmet Lunch for a very reasonable price. The staff here goes over the top to make sure your order is just the way you want it. No smirks when you ask for extra sauce or extra anything. Stop on in and enjoy the taste. As much I love the food here and my biggest issue was the long wait to receive my food on a half hour lunch I started pre ordering for pick up they still can't get my food done on a timely manner. I would give this 4 stars, but because this Clarke person is an asshat that doesn't seem to understand that the girl behind the counter would have to ask about his coupon change, I added another. I went in today with a friend and we split a large buffalo chicken and regular Philly (it was buy a large, get a regular Philly for 99 cents) and the gourmet fries. I went for the Philly first as I wanted to save the buffalo for last. It was good, the bread was nice and I agree that there could have been a little more steak though. The buffalo chicken, I was slightly disappointed in just because well...it wasn't very buffaloy (thats a word right?). The sandwich itself was good, but it just wasn't spicy at all. All in all though, good food, slightly higher than fast food prices, and the kiwi and strawberry lemonades were great. read more

Steak sandwich with mushrooms are you kidding me! I'm in heaven almost! Give me more meat on this sub and you'd get 5 stars. The "kiwi lemonade" is so not lemonade. It's Crystal Light with some green in it, bros. I was pissed. Nothing I hate more than paying for powdered lemonade! Anyway, the fries were great- sans cheese sauce. We came at 8:18 pm tonight. We thought they're already close ( schedule says 10 am-9 pm) because half of the dining room they had put up the chairs on the table. I still ordered a combo meal n decided to eat the food there because the sandwich is still warm. Service was prompt n Maria the shift leader was courteous. 5 minutes into eating my sandwich, the servers started mopping the floor n the awful smell of Clorox or cleaning solution they used was all over the place. I had to ask for To Go boxes because we cannot continue to eat while they're cleaning and bad smell of chemical inside the place . I asked Maria why they're cleaning when people are still eating. Maria said that's the order of the Manager . Maria told me to call the number on my receipt for the manager.She repeated to me that's what the manager told them to do, to clean before they close. I will call tomorrow and I will keep an eye on this branch . It's very unhealthy to eat inside while they're cleaning n mopping the floor with that chemical. read more

I work in the same shopping center and in a regular here. The employees are always smiling and sometimes I just go and pay for my order and go back to my store. The cashiers usually bring us the food to the store which I think it's nice of them to go the extra mile for us. The subs are always fresh and the fries are a must!! read more

This is not a proper cheesesteak sandwich, it comes with lettuce, tomato, and other stuff you would not find on a cheesesteak sandwich in Philly. I placed my order to go, and they presented me a dine-in tray. The blueberry lemonade is nearly impossible to drink because the blueberry purée is too chunky to pass through their straws. I hadn't been here in a couple of years because the service was absolutely terrible and it still is, the cashiers are clueless and the food is almost inedible. Well Charley's is one place I'm never going back to. The cashier seemed uninspired and looked like he'd rather be other places, but otherwise got my order correct (from what I can tell by looking at the receipt). Then when I took the food to go, I realized my order was messed up and I was missing a sandwich. I guess I'd be less upset if I wasn't the only person in the store. I'm also upset with myself that I didn't check the bag before I left, but this is something I shouldn't have to do. I live close by so I eat here quite often. Excellent food (Chicken California is the business :)). Extremely friendly staff (Isis, Ricardo, Fredrick, Ishvari), yeah I eat here this often where I know their names lol. Cliff the manager is a cool and ambitious guy who is always welcoming when I come into the restaurant as well. If you want a quickly prepared, delicious Philly sandwich and fries in a pleasant environment, eat here! I'm from Philly ... Charley's Philly Steaks has it all wrong. 1st the rolls: They are supposed to be Italian, not doughy soggy French. The cooks don't even know the difference. Shouldn't be allowed to use the name Philly. The meat: Cheap frozen nasty, like Steak'm. Is it beef? Can't tell. Should use quality real steak. The staff was polite, customers didn't appear to know the difference or care. But I'm from Philly, was so nasty, after 2 bites I drop my plate in the trash. Will never eat at Charley's again. Im still going here, and they dont cease to amaze me. Always flavorful subs, at first the price increase through me off, but switching to a small keeps me full and saved me $$, I also still love their receipt survey deal, which im bringing up since I noticed a couple complaints on price range. Charleys! i ate @ Charley's for the first time cuz my hubby loves the orange location. the people were super friendly behind the counter! they gave us free fries to munch on while we made up our mind. i had the ultimate club! cheddar, bacon, ham and turkey! it was so good, nice and hot! also love their "natural" fries. everything was hot and tasty! exactly what i had in mind! :) also, they kiwi lemonade! so delicious, right amount of sweet and right amount or tart! read more

i had their new spicy asian chicken sandwich ( i think that's what its called) got the bbq sauce on the side. it would have been to saucy and soggy for my taste. delicious fries. try getting them well done if you like fries with a crunchy exterior that almost melt in your mouth. my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken. 4 out of 5 for him. i'm still undecided. read more

Bummer of an update: The service has pretty much tanked in the last few months. It seems there's a revolving door of people working for them, and it shows. I was double charged yesterday, because the cashier Nara wasn't paying attention made a mistake ringing me up. After getting home, and tearing into my sandwich- it wasn't even close to what I ordered. My advice to you- go to Quiznos. Charley's isn't worth the money anymore. read more

This is probably the worst experience I've ever had. This place has been my favorite for quite sometime. I always come to this location and the food is excellent except for this time. I ordered the chicken philly sandwich. When I got my sandwich it was cold and the chicken tasted as if it was old and had a weird smell as if It had been sitting there for too long. First time there. I ordered a philly cheese steak and fries to go. Thought the sandwich was delicious - I got everything on it. The bread was surprisingly soft! The fries were perfect. Not sure why I didnt try this place sooner! The service was fine - nothing to rave about but not terrible either. They just did their jobs, nothing more than that (like a friendly smile). I will say the girl bringing out my food tried to give it to another customer instead of calling out the number. She just handed it to the first person she saw. Kinda weird. Aside from that, the service was quick. I probably waited a total of 5 minutes for my food. It was a Thursday night so it's probably a longer wait on the weekends. Delicous! I have to admit Charley's Grilled Subs is a guilty pleasure of mine for it is so high in calories; however, if I were to base this place on the taste and the nice service I would give them 5 stars. The place is clean and the staffs are super friendly. I am in love with their philly cheese steak but I find this place a little expensive. The place would be a killer if they just have reasonable price. I pay almost $13 for the big sandwich with the drink and regular fries. My fiancee and I go to Charley's a lot, but we had never been to this location before. I like Charley's sandwiches, they're really good when you're in the mood for something quick but you don't want to go to Subway or other fast food places. What really stood out to me about this location were the people who work there. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. They brought our food to us and stopped by our table at least twice to see if we were doing ok, just like at a sit down restaurant. Considering that this is a "fast food" joint I thought that was pretty awesome. I've been to a few different chains and this was the first one that had ever done that. There is such a friendly atmosphere in here! They have really nice variety of grilled subs that are made to order. They have crispy fries too which you can have plain or smothered in cheese and bacon. One of my favorite things is the Kiwi Lemonade! So good!!! read more

I decided to give this place a sencond chance since the last time i went the sandwich i ate was way to soggy. I walked up to the register so the girl at the counter could take my order. First off she didnt look like was in a good mood, i told her i wanted the sub first and she quickly cut me off by giving me my total. I told her i wasnt finished and she rolled her eyes at me. So as i continued she again cuts me off, and just gives me my cup. I pay ans wait gor my sandwich since i was taking it to go, As i was waiting for my sandwich i saw her come to me and toss the to go bag on the table that was next to me. I was taking a class near by and had no idea what was around for lunch so I went on Yelp to find this gem. As every Philly Cheesesteak should be served I got it plain (as they call it) without the lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.
