The food here is great, and the service is (usually) great. I love coming here instead of the neighborhood Subway (gag). Their ingredients seem way more fresh and I love how they cook all the ingredients for your sandwich. They actually deliver the food to your table (whaaat?) and they're more than happy to get you any condiments you might need. Their lemonade is delicious and so is their seasoning for their fries. My sister and I split the philly cheesesteak combo (comes with a regular sub, drink and fries) for lunch this afternoon for about $6.50. I did not go inside and order, just sat outside and waited. The philly was really good -roll not soggy or crusty, meat, onions and bell peppers were cooked perfectly. But we both thought the amount of meat could've been more as we just tossed the lettuce ... too much lettuce. I really, really like that it was not overdone, you took a bite and nothing came out the other end. It was really easy to eat. I hate looking like a hot mess/cow when I bite into a sandwhich or burger. Not a big fan of the CJ concept of "if it doesn't get all over the place it doesn't belong in your face" deal. The gourmet fries were topped with bacon and cheese. There was nothing gourmet about those spuds. The spuds itself were nice, cooked perfectly, a nice surprise. But that neon orange cheese product on top of the fries was a turn off. It did not taste like cheese; made my eyes hurt. Reminded me of when Heinz came out with green, purple colored ketchup? Yeah, physchologically damaging. This was neon orange cheese! I think it should be tested for public safety. We will be back again when we have a hankering but only out of convenience. Everybody is always so kind and courteous here-- and not just once or twice, but every time I come in here. Seriously, I wish other businesses were half as nice as these people. The Good: I love it. People have different opinions on how they like their cheesesteaks. I prefer them like this. This is more like Steak Escape rather than Philly's Best. The sandwiches taste fresh and the fry sauce (which is probably just thousand island mixed with a few minor ingredients) goes really well with the sandwich and fries. I waited more than 5 minutes at the ordering counter before anyone acknowledged me which I didn't take issue with at the time.  A young lady named "Alex" finally came to take my order and I asked about the rewards program and how exactly to get the $5 off.  She said "just download the app" which I had already done and was now in the process of filling in my information.  She then quickly said, "but you need to move out of the way because there's someone behind you."  I experienced a rude tone from her but didn't say anything just said I'm ready to order and started my order.  When time to pay, she instructed me to place my card in the slot with phone in my hand knowing I had downloaded the app with the intent of getting the discount.  After seeing the charges I asked her where my discount was, she told me I was supposed to scan my phone.  I reminded her I had specifically asked with assistance for obtaining the discount, her response was "you can use it next time."  I maintained my calm demeanor but immediately asked to speak with her manager and she responded "there's no managers here."  I then informed her that she had been quite rude since I had gotten there and asked for a refund.  Her tone changed from abrupt and rude to what seemed amused and comical as if she was enjoying abusing her position, getting some sort of satisfaction from the fact that I was choosing to leave without eating even though my young son was very hungry and already waiting for his food.  She stated "we only do cash refunds."  I told her that it was fine and as she handed me my money she again, almost comically said "here you go."  Other employees then started talking to her about me as I was informing my son it was time to leave.  It was a horrible feeling hearing the employees discussing me before I even left the store.  I double checked the name on the receipt and it says "William" which is wrong because the lady specifically said her name was "Alex" so either the employees are lying about their names or they are using other employee's identification to take orders. Anyway, the sandwiches are great and if you come often, I suggest you grab a punch card so your 8th sandwich is free. I had one from another location in Orange and although they don't accept cards from other locations, they honored mine today because an employee(s) mistakenly marked mine. You can't beat that. I'm a huge fan of Charleys. Let me first start off by saying that I'm a vegetarian so my options are limited. The only thing that I have gotten from here is their Philly Veggie. It comes with grilled veggies, mushrooms, onions and green peppers and three types of cheese, swiss, provolone, and cheddar. They also offer grilled jalapenos for that extra kick. And they ask you if you want the tomato, lettuce and italian dressing. Which they put at the end. My ideal sandwich is the Philly Veggie, obviously, with no mushrooms, with tomato and lettuce and no italian dressing and add mayo. I left my favorite for last. The fries here are my favorite. Decided to try this place because I was in the mood for something new. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak - I replied yes when I was asked if I wanted onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and replied no when asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato, mayo, or pickle on the cheesesteak. No mushrooms, no bell peppers, no onions - all of which I had requested. And barely any cheese. It was for all intents and purposes a plain, boring steak sandwich. I took a bite - it was very dry and very salty! I was shocked how salty the meat was - that's really where I missed the mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese, to offset some of the saltiness of the meat. What a huge disappointment this sandwich was. The cheese fries were better. The cheese they use is basically cheese whiz, which I liked. The fries were a little soggy but still decent. There was enough cheese whiz for dipping so I was satisfied with the fries. Overall, I would probably not go back again. They not only messed up my order but also my CHEESEsteak sandwich had barely any cheese and also was just too salty.
