This is my second time ever at a Charley's Cheesesteaks but my 1st time at this location in the Broward Mall food court. Just standing in front of the shop was making me hungry looking at the oiled flat grill ready to make Philly cheesesteaks. I ordered the loaded Philly with fries but the tiny cup of buffalo sauce for a .79 cent upcharge was disgusting - just my opinion of course - corporate policy pricing. They do offer regular hot sauce or mayo for free but the buffalo sauce does blend better. The chef began preparing the chopped steak on the grill and as it sizzled the smell began emanating throughout the food court. He then dropped cheese over the steak which began to melt and drip as he slid the steak and cheese onto a soft bread. The process was very entertaining and my mouth was watering and couldnt wait to take a bite. As for my 2nd Philly from Charley's ever, it did not disappoint. Also, whoever is managing this location should be given credit. I watched a guy cleaning behind the stove and floor. The stainless steel counters and grill were spotless. The .79 cent upcharge for the buffalo sauce is an issue for me but the food was spectacular. A strong 4.6 star rating and sadly would have been a solid 5 if not for the upcharge. read more

My 100th Review I love Charley's Cheesesteaks. Every time I go to the mall, any mall, I order from them for a bite for lunch. Was immediately asked what I wanted to purchase and I ordered the combo meal for about $15. A regular size cheesesteak some fries and a bottled water. It was as tasty as usual, and the area was spotless. The employees gave us a sense of wanting to be there and they were happy. It was in the food court at the mall, so the ambience was kind of an open area, and has been remodeled since I'd been there last, and had a nice clean look to it. read more

First time here. The bread tasted like it was a week old, and the meat/cheese/onions had almost zero flavor. When I opened the box, all of the sandwich fillings were bunched up at one end of the roll, and the paper was stuck to the cheese to the point that the paper was ripping when trying to separate. Horrific treatment from a very rude staff. Waited at least 10 mins to place an order while my daughter stood there waiting i noticed a person come up after my daughter to get a refill and the staff took care of her still not acknowledging my daughter. I walked up and asked if my daughter can place an order and I was blatantly ignored. Then I walked to the side where the grill was and asked the two women there if there is a manager to to get help. They said they don't know they just got on shift (but they were cooking already for at least the 10 mins we were standing there). Then one of the girls says she's there at the counter, the one ignoring us. Now a line formed. So my daughter said forget it mommy, I don't want anything here anymore. Then I got the managers attention and simply asked why my daughter was being ignored, not saying anything like maybe an I will be right with you, nothing. Well the answer was yelled back to me by the manager and the worker next to her. But I couldn't understand it because they were both yelling at once. Absolute worst service. The team is incompetent and says "take it up with corporate" for everything. They can't use any codes from the app nor let you know what they're charging you for. I would've happily change my order to the regular price (.50 more) to be able to use my $5 off. My $9.99 "lunch special" with .69 in tax somehow turned into $13 and the cashier just says "it's the system". I actually already happily took it up with corporate. As I used to come here regularly, I've never seen such horrible work ethic and absolute zero understanding of customer service or just plain listening to hear what I ask. I went there to eat while wife went off to another place to get food. So I ordered small cheesesteak, asking for Ketchup, they put Mayonnaise on it, not good combination, I ordered French Fries, and asked for lot of packages cause I love Ketchup, 3 packages they put in the bag, not enough in those little packages for the fries, no less the sandwich. Two thumbs up Chick-Fil A, cause there ketchup (Heinz) in big packages is a plus, next time l"ll order from them. I had no problem asking them for couple packages. read more

Worst Charley's location I ever been to I found a HAIR in my food after one bite I went to get a refund and the LEAD SUPERVISOR Nicholas was extremely disrespectful and rude called me a liar and said that I put the hair in my food and didn't want to give me a refund he was arguing with me making a huge scene saying I put the hair there it was just a terrible experience I never recommend this location to anyone!! I work in the mall At Macys, I had my name tag on. I ordered the new Gochujang sandwich in regular size. I was on a 30 minute lunch break, I waited 15 mins to get to the register as the lady there chummed it up with her friends and laughing at the register. After I ordered ,and waited for my food, I took literally 1 bite of the sandwich, and Eww it was NASTY. The bread was Soggy, the taste was not Gochujang, , and No it didn't taste similar to it At all! The sandwich fell apart like a mess and was not what I expected. I waited to speak to the manager and she was adamant about not exchanging or refunding my money. I didn't get to eat lunch, I was so hungry and by this point feeling disgruntled. I was used as an example to her employees as she called 4 different people over to let them see how poorly she gives customers service as a standard to customers who may complain about their food, At this time ,I was very embarrassed and frustrated. Ordered using the app. Specifically ordered one of there menued Phillies (Bacon 3 Cheese) plus loaded fries and drink. One of the things Charleys is doing since Covid is taping up all the 0ick up bags to assure food is not tampered with once made. They also tape the lid cover of your drink. I love this idea and all locations are doing this. That being said. I did not check the order and it was wrong. My name was written on the box and the sub type which is there procedure. Completely different sub. Got home tried to call them to let them know and the phone on the app as well as website is disconnected. Contacted the online tab and got a response the next day. I told them I would come in and pick up the correct sub and drop off the wrong one. They credited my app $10.00 even though the sub was 12.00. No big deal, and told me they were contacting management so they would know what happened and to fix the issue. Went to the Broward Mall location again later that day and the same person who gave me the sub the day before was called over to help me. I was told he was the Supervisor so I felt good about this. He had no clue what I was talking about and said he was contacted by no one, but he said he would fix it and apologized. Copied the order on the prior receipt and made it himself. I cam e back in 7 minutes which he said it would take and he went to give me the sub, again I told him I was credited in the app and was supposed to pay that way according to corporate but he had no idea how to handle that and I wasn't trying to get the sub for free, so he called someone over and the 3 of us figured it out together He gave me my receipt and the sub in a sealed bag. At that point I should have checked it but him being a supervisor I didn't, but when I got home I opened the bag with the word REMAKE on the box and the sub name BACON and to my surprise it was made wrong again. No Bacon and peppers instead. This is a 3 cheese Bacon sub that doesn't even come with peppers. This location sucks. It's horrible and no amount of Hellos, Thank You, and I Apologize fixes and compensates for the same mistake 2 days in a row. I contacted corporate again to tell them and they didn't even respond to the email. When I called back the next day the phone is still disconnected and the manager is aware of that. They honestly don't care. Stick with the Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale locations for this company. read more

Customer service was nice nice, they asked if we wanted any extra toppings which I think were free, but not sure. My review is for Breakfast....I've never had a sub here. My car was being worked on at Sears...before the mall opened but I was told the food court was open. I had to walk outside to the other side of the mall...and it was definitely worth it. Upon entering the mall, Charley's is directly on your right. A friendly girl behind the counter actively solicited my business by saying "We have breakfast made with real eggs and they are delicious". The grille, counter space and shelves behind the counter appeared very clean & orderly. She explained they could do breakfast sandwiches or omelets. I chose the sausage, onion, pepper, mushroom w/ cheese (white American). Her name was Patricia...I couldn't see the cook's name tag. He began making my meal & 1 other person's. It was cool that it's cooked right in front of you. He did a great job, efficient and the 2 omelets were uniform. The only thing I would change would be to put the cheese inside the omelet instead of on top so it's all nice & meltified (my word). When I return...and I will, most likely with the kids...I'm sure it won't be a problem to request that. The meal came with a plethora of tater tots that were perfectly fried. This definitely wasn't the healthiest of breakfasts...but it was REALLY tasty with generous amounts of filling. It didn't seem like a breakfast one would get in a food court...more like at a really good diner. I couldn't finish it. I asked for a to go box & Patricia was very helpful & said "we'll see you tomorrow for breakfast".
