The plastic flowers around the restaurant are so out dated, as well as a need for updated glassware. If the new owners want to keep that same decor and not update Charley's, I believe they will not grow their business. Wickenburg is growing and needs a great steakhouse and sit down bar. Charley's can so inviting with a warm atmosphere. Hopefully the new owners make huge changes. We just drove by and noticed the plants out front of Charley's, "Nice Addition"!!!! Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. First, let me say that the place was very clean. When we sat down, we noticed that the owner was visiting tables. I asked our server if she could ask him to stop by and say hello since it was our first time there. She suggested that I call out to him when I saw him, which was a bit strange. I did call out to him, but he didn't hear me. The food was terrible. We ordered three steaks. The special of the day was the prime rib, and we asked for an end cut, which was available. However, the entire cut was extremely dry. I had the T-bone, and the filet portion was extremely small and rare. The rest of the meat was medium, which is not what I had ordered. It was not a good cut of meat. Our guest had the New York strip, and he said it was just okay. Our server walked by and asked, "Everything okay?" while she kept walking without even looking at the table. If she had taken the time to look, she would have seen that I hardly touched my food. Overall, it was a bad experience. We spent over $200 for three people, and the food and service were below average. read more

Stop by while we were out on a drive. It was a Saturday in January and this place was popping with the boomers. But I'm sure that's who is here at all times. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. I ordered a T-Bone. My husband did the filet. The menu says all vittles ( we don't know what that word means) come with salad, baked potato, cowboy beans, bread and butter.. We finished the meal with pecan pie. This small steak house on the end of town has an appearance of something like a Sizzler but a menu of something much more. Main menu items include fillets, rib eyes, salmon, lobster and other upscale dishes. The interior decor is simple tables with cloths, wood trim and a local country radio station playing in the background (happened to be the same one I was listening to in the car). Dress is casual. The bar seemed well stocked. Dinner for me included the main course, choice of soup or salad, baked potato or fries, beans or carrots, a sourdough bread loaf (hot and soft), and dessert. I found the staff to be as friendly and helpful as you could want. No complaints at all. With one drink and tip I was out the door for about $45 but could have easily spent another $10-15 if I ordered a more expensive course. read more

I'm a resident of Wickenburg and eat at Charley's Steak House fairly regularly. The restaurant is kept very clean, the service is attentive and, most importantly, the food is consistently good. Patrons sit at a table that has a tablecloth and a bread plate and butter for the freshly baked bread which is brought out soon after arrival. I had ribs , and I know ribs meat usually falls off the bone, these were terrible, the meat refused to come off the bone. And the cost was ridiculous. We absolutely love Charley's Steak House! We've been coming here for over 25 years. The place feels like home to us. I am a huge fan of the Friday Night Fish Fry. The waitress, Karen is a joy and she always gets the order right. She is so kind and very good at what she does. The food is always excellent. We have always dined in, but lately due to the pandemic we have been getting take out which promoted a great review because the take out has been excellent as well. The service and people were real friendly but for a $38 ribeye, it was the worse steak I've ever had. So bad I didn't even eat half of it. My wife had the salmon and said it was real dry but she did like the baked potato. My son wouldn't even eat the French fries.
