Was looking forward to trying something new but we're disappointed off the cuff. They didn't warn that they were out of actual little gem and served romaine with shaker parm cheese instead of grated cheese and non-toasted croutons. I felt a little to gaslit when the waitress said that was little gem but as I eat it regularly I know the difference between whole leaves and cut up romaine. They obviously ran out from the holiday but the salad should be cheaper since the substituted ingredients cost less. It was really just the Temu version of what I ordered. It still tasted good but would be nice to be know ahead of time that what you order is different. The burrata also looked different than the photo and I wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known it was going to be covered in balsamic glaze. The manager was super friendly and apologetic and explained they were out of things (pappardelle ragu, Bloody Mary mix, etc) due to the weekend. They also ran out of real napkins so cocktail napkins were it. My mom ordered the lobster cavatelli and she got Alfredo on linguini with cheese all over it. Forgot to take a photo but probably better off since an Italian would pass away if they saw it. The branzino was well cooked, not my favorite flavor. The big red pepper that came with it was apparently on vacation too. My aunt said the linguini was decent but had cockles instead of clams. Really wanted to try the berries and hand whipped cream but wasn't going to risk being disappointed with the dish looking nothing like the photo once again. They also suggested a tip after tax, not before. Not cool. The staff is sweet and hard working but definitely needs training. Wish them luck, especially in their upcoming WV location, but I won't be back. read more

Heard some decent buzz about this restaurant through friends and wanted to check it out. The interior is very pleasant with a cool bar. Our waitress made no mention of any items that they were out of as we scanned our menus and made our selections, and then gave us the bad news that we wouldn't be able to order a few things that we wanted (one of the wines by the bottle and an appetizer that we heard was very popular). We ordered the Little Gem Salad but when it arrived, it was served with romaine lettuce (not little gem), and when we asked the waitress she at first said that it was little gem but then acknowledged that they were out of it and substituted it with romaine (without telling us). A manager sauntered over to our table a few minutes later and asked if everything was alright -- He didn't apologize for the salad mix-up or anything and just played it off like he was paying special attention to us. Just weird and not very professional. Otherwise the food was decent. The pizza was good but small. My branzino was quite good and an ample portion. Also the corn agnolotti was really delicious. Definitely a highlight of the meal. So overall good experience, although we were all put off by our unskilled waitresses handling of our order and managing a clear mistake by the restaurant. read more

I would not oh, no! the restaurant and it would not stop me from returning. I just would order something else. I've been thinking that I would add more seafood as it's on the water and most people expect to eat seafood. One fish dish is not enough. read more

The food was good (but a lot of salt), and the service was alright. I think they need to work on the overall experience a bit. They have nice ambience here. Kinda fancy kinda casual laid back. They were out of straws lol. Love that they give you crayons!! Everyone was happy with their meal. I wish the meatballs had a side with them. Would come back! read more

Was in town visiting family and saw this place by the waterfront. I had seen some of the reviews and was apprehensive, but we had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious and it had a great atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The Chicken Marsala and the Sweet Corn Agnolotti were excellent meals and the Nutella Pizza was a great sharing dessert. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. read more

We were just there on a Sunday evening and half of everything we ordered they were out of! 1st, the wines. We ordered a medium peiced Chianti, a Savignon Blanc and a Sparkling white wine. They were out of all 3, but suggested a different Chianti at twice the price! After a few selections that they didn't have we all had beers! Duh! Then the food. We ordered 4 items from the menu. They didn't have 2 of them. We wound up finding menu items that they actually had and they were'nt bad, but no offer to comp anything or even an apology for not having half the stuff on the menu! Honestly major flop. Wanted to love it, as a Brooklyn girl the aesthetic was speaking to me but the delivery fell majorly short. The food tasted like it was cooked by AI. Pizza was cold and cardboardy meatballs were too tough and the angalotti pasta was undercooked??? The olives came out after the pizza?? I went to this restaurant as a party of four, knowing that it is Fourth of July weekend we were expecting a wait. We got a table in 15 minutes which was great, until we waited an hour and a half for our food while not receiving decent service (border line neglectful service). The food was good but the portion sizing was meant for a 3 year old child. Presentation of each dish was horrible and looked like it was the kitchens first time making it. We were seated right away, within a few minutes our server came over and asked if we would like a drink. That's when our experience fell short of our expectations: 1. Ordered an Aperol Sprintz- no prosecco 2. Ordered a glass of white wine- couldn't get- they only sell by bottle ($100), no thank you 3. We put in our appetizer order: warm olives and a pizza 4. What a bizarre experience at Charlie Boy. We came here because Claudios took to long. The waiter was very odd and barely said anything to us. The food came out 1 minute after we ordered it and the waiter insisted that it was not already prepared. The logic doesn't add up as it takes 4 minutes per side to fry chicken Parmesan. There's no way it was not already prepared!! Food was expensive but not worth it. Save yourself and go somewhere else!!! read more

We went to Charlie Boy this evening thinking it was Claudio's. There is no sign outside distinguishing it as a new restaurant. When we entered, we asked for a table for two on the patio. The hostess, who was serving tables when we got there told us it would be twenty- five minutes before we could be seated. I asked why that was when there were numerous tables inside and out that were open. She said they were giving the kitchen a break. Odd. So we sat at the bar and had a drink. There was no one else at the bar but it took the bartender a while to come wait on us. The bar was wet and sticky when we sat down. She got us our drinks and they were fine, but she didn't put them on a coaster or a bar napkin or anything. We were finally seated at a table outside. The waitstaff seemed inexperienced, unpolished and unsure of what they were doing. It wasn't until we sat down that we realized that it was no longer Claudio's. The table had paper placemats and paper napkins. The menu has a mostly Italian selection- pizza and pastas. Not much seafood. No clams, oysters, little necks. The music playing was hip hop/rap with a lot of cursing in it. In general, we were disappointed. The food was ok but nothing special. The couple across from us ordered a pizza and when it was served it was placed on a large tin can turned upside down from the kitchen - it looked ridiculous.
