Charlie is super nice and friendly :) I took my car in for a check engine light that I need fixed before a smog. He kept it for a few hours and unfortunately couldn't figure it out exactly because it had to do more with the smog. He let me know to take it to a smog & repair place and that they will have better knowledge with that and even recommended a place to me. Even though he didn't service my car, it was definitely a good experience and I will bring my car back here when I need to. I haven't found a go-to mechanic but I think this is the one! read more

Their pricing is the best around and they are incredibly honest and respectful. Being a woman and taking your vehicle to a mechanic is usually pretty intimidating but Mike makes it a less stressful experience and doesn't talk down to you. Been 2 years going and still not letting anyone else touch my car. These guys are great! Super friendly and they really look after you. They are really transparent with the work they do and I've never once felt gouged or even worried about the possibility. Since the first visit I have had them do all my oil changes, install new bumpers on my car, new filters, lights, shocks, and they even buffed out a little dent from a fender-bender, on the house, just because they happened to see it. Man. I can't say enough about these guys. Michael is super friendly and most importantly honest. Won't over charge you by doing extra work. One time had to take the car to the dealership and they said I needed new breaks. Took it to Charlies and they took a look and said I had at least another 20000 miles. They are both great and now my parents and grandparents come here to get their car fixed. I am thinking of buying a used car and Michael gave me advice on brands and what to look out for. Thankful : I have been having so many issue with my 2019 Audi Q7 back to back it's been ridiculous. Every time I've taken it to the dealership in West Covina something new happens so I decided to go a different route . Someone recommended this place to me and I was having second thoughts about it due to past experiences at other auto-shops but took the chance to make the call . Micheal was very helpful from the beginning and I ended up making an appointment to get my car checked along with the list I had from the dealership of the repairs my car needed . Out of the list only two needed to be repaired and I can honestly say I am truly grateful for their honesty. I've had a really rough year especially during that time I was having a really rough week and to be able to find a place with honesty is a huge DEAL for me . ATTN LADIES & SENIORS (both of which I am!) Auto maintenance and repair is something I've always dreaded because I'm a single female--need I say more? But this place is different. My sister and I found this place when she needed some work done on her car. It's a family run business (father and son) and they're actually honest! Since we were there for her car anyway, I asked for a 2nd opinion about my air conditioner (that I'd just been quoted over $300 from a shop in La Habra). The son opened my hood, tightened a couple of bolts, told me to start my car, AND IT WAS FIXED! The charge? His words, "I'm not gonna charge you for that! Tell you what--the next time you're in the area, bring me a cup of coffee!" That's right--he didn't charge me a dime when that other shop was ready to take me for $300! That's honest in my books. Great service all around! Brought in my 2009 Toyota Highlander for a weird engine noise, tune up and to check my car overall for anything wrong with it so I could take it on a long road trip with my family next month. Found a few issues and the cause of an oil leak I had suspected was happening. The price for repair was fair and Mike (I think that was his name) spent time explaining exactly what he found to me in laymens terms. When I told him about the oil leak over the phone he literally took me with him as he checked my car and found the cause of the leak right there and then. I've taken my car to a few places who brushed it off as not a big deal without actually looking for the leak. Turns out it was from an oil hose I had replaced last year. Also, I mentioned I wanted my headlights replaced because of how yellow they were and he said he had a specific way to clean it to save me money to have to replace if, and he did such a great job. Def Saved me a few hundred from having to replace them. While he was working on the car He texted me pictures and kept me well updated on the progress. He even offered for me to bring the car back after the road trip to make sure everything was still good. HONEST SERVICE Gotta give this shop double thumbs up! Charlie is knowledgeable, courteous and super helpful. I took my car in for inspection to check out some rattling on the drivers side. I wasn't quite sure what it was. Charlie took it for a test drive and noticed the steering column was making a strange noise. He recommended that I take it to the dealer for a possible recall. He said that may be the problem contributing to the rattling. Sure enough, took it to the dealer, they fixed the steering column and that took care of the problem. Needless to say, no money out of pocket. I am truly grateful for Charlie's honesty. Any other mechanic would have suggested various repairs. But not Charlie, he suggested I look into a possible recall first and if that didn't work, he offered to then take a look at it. This review is based upon my interaction and customer service with Charlie. I did not end up using any of his services as I showed up to his shop, the noise I was hearing could not be replicated but I felt impelled to tell everyone about how great of service he has. I called early morning on a Monday and he answered immediately and was very accommodating to having me go over on short notice the next day. As I pulled up, he greeted me as if we were friends and tried to understand what the problem was. The noise was a sound that I thought was coming from my tire as I could only hear while driving. He brought out a jack to lift the car, to see if anything looked or sounded out of place. We couldn't figure it out so he we went for a drive together. He listened tentatively but the noise just wouldn't happen when I needed it to. I dropped him back off and he said no charge for this diagnostic and for me to come back when I start hearing it again. He could have easily charged a fee to raise the car, go for a drive, anything he wanted to but he didn't. Very honest and straight forward and will be coming back if I ever have any issues. I took in my 2015 Toyota Sienna in today and was amazed at the service I received. The brakes were worn out and the entire minivan would shake when I stepped on the brakes. Mike at Charlie's Auto Tech told me I needed to replace the front brakes. When I came to pick up my car, Mike told me he took the car for a test drive and noticed the brakes were good but not "perfect". He spent extra ship time and resources to get all of the brakes right. Ok... update to my Yelp review. Repeat customer ---- Mike changed all the brakes (rotors, pads) on our 2010 Range Rover Sport (my wife's daily driver). Everything was fine until my wife started to notice a slight brake 'squeal', but only at slow speed. I alerted Mike about it.... he was happy to have the issue rechecked because he wanted the customer (us and technically my wife) to be totally satisfied. Anyways, long story short... I usually do most of the work on my car myself. My car was due for brakes and I replaced everything else, except I couldn't get the rear rotors off for the life of me. I called around several shops in the area, but when Mike picked up and I explained my problem, he tried to help me save money and tell me how I could get it done myself, without bringing my car in to him! Now that's honesty right there. In the end, I did end up bringing my car to him since I didn't want to buy more tools and I was tired of trying to work on it after having spent the entire day prior replacing the brakes. Mike let me watch as he did the work so that I could learn and be able to do it myself next time, and he charged me a very reasonable fee.
