My wife and I go to this place often, the food is always so good, the restaurant is very clean, and they also have a great alcohol selection.

This has to be the most surprising visit I had in a long time. Food was incredible! I'd recommend this place over and over. It was so good! Even our waitress checked on us so much it was perfect. The place may be not very large but it was perfect for a Friday night wasn't too busy. Love the decor feel on the inside. Western feel a little bit.

I visited this new BBQ+Thai fusion restaurant which serves TX BBQ and a limited Thai menu in a very cozy setting. The lighting makes you think you're in a tavern or something. Service was pretty good for the most part. See more later. I'm not from this area, but it appears they tool over the space from a previous American restaurant and/or tap house. They do offer several beers on tap, as well as cocktails with Asian names. They are a little on the high side, but on Sundays they're $2 off. The BBQ is traditional American bbq with what seems to be some Thai spices including brisket, sausage, pork belly, half chicken, turkey and burnt ends (coming soon). They do serve ribs, but they're listed as an app for now and may not be smoked. They have 3 types of homemade sausage (spicy Thai, beef basil and fermented). Their sides are quite a departure from the normal American bbq sides. They're offering green beans, white rice, sticky rice, fries and edamame. I chose the Thai chicken wings, brisket, pork belly and sausage. I also added a sweet tea which was not very sweet and probably caters to the Asian customers. Some of their more interesting dishes are Thai bbq fried rice, special red curry brisket, a beef and basil prime burger, and double smoked fried wings. Brisket - definitely prime and has a nice smoke ring. I ordered 1/4 lb and it's one thick slice that comes with a Thai style bbq sauce in a ramekin and some thai style salad on the side. Was not a fan of the bbq sauce. 4/5 Sausage - this is a Thai style beef and basil sausage. The board also comes with the salad and an Asian style vinaigrette dipping sauce 3/5. You need to dip the sausage in the vinaigrette because the Thai style sausage tends to be dry. Chicken wings - these are good but double breaded and I didn't feel they needed to be. The garlic soy sauce is a slightly sweet sauce, but it wish I had tried the Thai chili sauce that comes as an option with the smoked wings. 3/5 Pork belly - 1/4 lb comes with like 4 slices and a salad, and the vinaigrette. I preferred dipping the pork belly in the Vinaigrette. 4/5 Only 1 issue with the service....when the server dropped off the appetizer, he just walked off and we were sitting there waiting on the next person to come to order because he never came back. It was the manager who eventually came and realized we haven't even gotten to order. They're obviously still working out some kinks. I will round up to 4 because it's such a unique concept.

Why 5 stars? Because a Thai + BBQ fusion restaurant is exactly what the world needs. --- --- --- We visited during a soft opening, when they were still working through some things and the entire menu wasn't available, but it was still a really great meal. -We started off with the Thai chicken wings and they really hit the spot. 4.5 stars. Then we shared two entrees: -Tex-Thai BBQ Fried rice: 4.5-stars. It's hard to be mad at fried rice with a big slab of fatty brisket on top. -Charm special red curry brisket: 5-stars. Curry, rice and again, a fat brisket on top? Bathe me in this dish. I would have loved to try the pulled pork, pork belly and burnt ends, but none were available, either because they haven't introduced them yet or they were sold out. We visited June 28th, and our server said it would be about another month until they transition from "soft opening" to "grand opening." We will definitely be back then. Bonus: they took over an old restaurant that had about 50 beer taps, and they are taking full advantage of that. If you love BBQ and beer, this is going to be one of your new favorite spots.

So far so good for a soft opening items Ordered brisket and pulled pork Brisket was moist to our liking. Bark is perfect. Seasoning permeated all the way thru, meat salt pepper are all you need

Had the pleasure having lunch at Charm Taphouse and BBQ. This is a comp of Thai street food meets Texas BBQ. We were seated quickly and server was very nice and responsive. They have a full bar and nice selection of appetizers. I had the HAAD YAI Fried Chicken, it was two crispy boneless Thai marinated chicken thighs, served with white sticky rice, and I substituted the green beans for the red curry Mac-N-Cheese, was delicious. My wife had the yellow curry with chicken, it was very good as well. The portions were huge and able to take home for another meal. I would definitely recommend next time you want something different.

My husband and I have been here several times, we love this restaurant. The food is amazing, it's a cross between Asian, Thai and Texas BBQ, which is absolutely perfect! The service is always above and beyond, their servers are knowledgeable and friendly. They always guide us to try different things and we have yet to be disappointed. The restaurant itself is nice, there's a ton of booths and a bar, and it's usually not crowded which is nice but hopefully that changes because this place is phenomenal. Definitely come here to try their Pad Thai, curries and every single appetizer!

We really enjoyed this spot. The service wasn't perfect, but it was good for a new restaurant, and the food and the presentation were amazing. We really appreciated being able to order BBQ, Thai, or fusion to suit the tastes of a large group of people. We started with the spring rolls and curry Mac and Cheese, and then we added edamame while waiting for our main dishes. This was a good selection of appetizers for 8 people, and all were good. We had a mixture of BBQ and Asian food for our main dishes. The meat eaters said the sausages and brisket were good without sauce, and the TX BBQ fried rice was an unexpectedly great combination. My husband had orange chicken and liked it better than the place we usually go to eat Thai. They were all very happy with their meals. I am a vegetarian and had the red curry with tofu. I'd order it again. And, the presentation was, again, really good. The waiter did a great job with recommendations. We also liked that there is a large variety of beers, and, while we didn't order a cocktail, they looked great. The atmosphere is informal and was great for a relaxed family meal.

Amazing food and great service! The dinner was fresh and so tasty. We ordered 2 specials for dinner .. the Tex-Thai BBQ fried rice and the Red Curry Brisket! Wow .. such flavor. Will definitely be back with family included.

This could easily be a 5 star destination but our night revealed several issues that will cause me to forgo that rating right now. Starting with seating. The dining room is a bit on the small size and it has become a game of inches. Avoid the booths if possible as the dining table will sit squarely in your gut and both tables and benches are immobile. Not sure all the booths are the same dimensions but we watched at least one other booth party of average size dive for relief and a table when one opened. Sacrifice some on the front end or make the tables slightly smaller so that seating is tolerable. Although they appeared adequately staffed, the wait staff were good at making you wait and not very solicitous. We never were asked for a drink order and had to request beverages. Our waiter scarcely made it to our booth and when asked for alternate seating, confirmed it was a known issue and had no solutions as he acknowledged the other booth occupants had grabbed the last table for the same concern. Ultimately, we took matters into our own hands and sat at the bar for our meal. Then came the meal. If you know me, than you know pork belly is my fave and the menu was peppered with pork belly appetizers and mains but apparently staff didn't anticipate the holiday boom and none was available making a good part of the menu gone. No worries, roll with the punches and try the sausage sampler which features your choice of 3 of 5 sausage options including a housemade thai sausage...which they no longer make but still feature on the menu as the top choice. We ultimately went with a few appetizers all of which were excellent which made the absence of my preferred protein appear all that more egregious. We finished and waited, once again, for our check. Based on the quality of what we were served, we will come again as this was likely an off night.

The food was top notch. A combination of high quality TX BBQ and high quality Thai food. Made for a delicious meal. Came here with our daughter she loved the fries and appetizers. Has awesome drinks like soda, beer, and cocktails.

    MANGO STICKY RICE

Been here a few times since we love it! The red curry brisket is definitely our go-to, but there are many great items on the menu. We also love the pork belly bao buns...so tasty! Great ambiance here, an impressive selection of draft beer, a unique mixed drink menu, and the mango sticky rice is absolutely amazing! TRY THIS PLACE!

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.

That should've been my first sign when I walked in. It was hotter inside than it was outside. I picked up the menu looked at it for a hot second and then thought well. I'll just order something. So naturally, I said pad Thai, standard Asian meal. Not at this place they didn't have it and she looked at me strange. So I proceeded to look at the menu and found some random dish that looked decent and ordered. Then I ordered drinks and she told us after we had paid the soda had no carbonation in the machine so we could get the drinks out of the fridge. So we went and got the drinks out of the fridge, sat down open them up they both were flat. I suspect if I had checked the dates they were both expired, but I didn't bother. So we sat down and literally one minute later, the food came out... Which tells me that all the food was likely premade, and this was just a buffet that was hidden in the back. I ate, and it was well.... Let's just say the Woodlands Mall Asian foods a bit better than this stuff. Anyhow, I did encourage the team who works here to turn the AC down a little bit, make sure the fridge doesn't have expired drinks/flat drinks, make the food like they serve it to their family. I'll report back shortly and let you know if there are any biological effects of this food... All that for $45 - two dishes, two flat drinks, two rice.

We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.
