First time trying oysters and am glad that I tried them here! This was a stop on our food tour and we were coming in for oysters and shrimp (prawns it seemed when we got them). I had never had oysters before so I was a bit nervous. They were massive when they came out, also coming with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Our tour guide recommended stirring the sauce and horseradish in so I figured, "why not? Try the entire experience all at once." It was....a lot and I'm not too sure if I'd seek oysters regularly. However, I am glad I tried them here. I don't think if I got them somewhere else that they would be prepared correctly and offered in such an elegant way. The entire restaurant is really cool inside too. A lot of historical things to look at and original wood all over the restaurant.

My wife and I decide to stop in for their happy hour after reviewing their online menu. We arrived at 4 PM, what I believe the website noted was the beginning of happy hour, only to find out it was actually 4:30 PM! That was OK! Manuela and Danny took great care of us. Manuela whipped us up some great cocktails while we waited. I really enjoyed my Four Roses Manhattan and my wife absolutely loved her bourbon and chocolate cocktail! After perusing the lounge menu and comparing it against the happy hour menu, we decided to go ahead and order off the lounge menu. I ordered their fish tacos, substituting a Caesar salad salad in lieu of their french fries while my wife ordered their prime rib, sliders as described. Our meals came out relatively quickly. I must say my fish tacos and Caesar salad were absolutely delicious! My wife enjoyed her prime rib sliders immensely; however, the French fry presentation could've been better and the au jus was just over the top salty. After another four roses, Manhattan, we decided on a dessert of Boston cream pie. It turned out not to be a classic Boston cream pie, but still a very tasty variation, indeed! We really appreciated Manuela giving us the history of the building and encouraged us to walk around and take it all in! What a superb ending to a day of sightseeing! Thank you!

This has always been a fav of mine and it did not disappoint. The inside is so old world with amazing ambiance. I sat at the bar and they let me charge my phone. The bartenders were busy but still managed to take care of me. The new england clam chowder reminded me no one does it better than new england. Beware the chives on top if you are not a fan. My entree was the lobster and shrimp carbonara. Not heavy and the added cheese on top gave it extra Zaz. Can't wait for my next trip to boston.

Went to the restaurant on Monday around 5 o'clock we were immediately seated upstairs. Customer service was on point. Our waitress was amazing. She made solid recommendations. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. My lobster risotto was so good. The risotto was creamy. Salad was fresh and crisp. The chocolate old-fashioned was the best old-fashioned. I've had my friends had the prime rib and could not stop talking about it if you're in town, give it a try.

We ate here over the weekend to celebrate my dad's graduation from Harvard. We were all in town from Wisconsin, and while we have been to other Chart House locations, this was our first visit to the Boston location. The building is absolutely gorgeous - formerly the John Hancock Counting House, I loved that it was steeped in rich New England history. The staff was very kind, but my dad walks very poorly, and we were disappointed that they weren't able to accommodate our request to be on the first floor instead of the third. Considering there is no elevator, and there are a lot of stairs, it made it hard on my dad. That alone is the reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars. The food was delicious, and I was thrilled that there were so many seafood options, given that we were right on the wharf. The New England Clam Chowder was by far the best I have ever tasted. Creamy with succulent clams and potatoes, I wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup! For my entree, I chose the shrimp linguine, and it was very good. I enjoyed the pesto in the dish, as well as the crispy prosciutto. For dessert, I opted for the lava cake - a staple in our family, we always get it when we go to a Chart House location.

I would've never thought I'd get one of the best prime ribs at this spot, but I did! I'll admit, I haven't tried that many different prime ribs, but Chart House nailed it tonight. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and unbelievably delicious! The 3 potato garlic mash it's served with was awesome too. I also got the lobster bisque to start and that was also the best I've had thus far. The ambiance is very fitting and gives a cozy vibe. Our server was also amazing and went above and beyond for us. Truly a great dining experience. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed my meal here, the coconut crispy shrimp was delicious, the Caesar salad was a bit strong on the anchovy part but it was not bad. The cheesecake was delicious. I personally enjoyed the texture of the shrimp and the sweet chili oil the best.

Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I also appreciated the excellent service from their new sommelier. Mooo continues to set the standard for the modern Boston steakhouse experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I will say Service was SPECTACULAR. All the staff were friendly, accommodating. Alex our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The best bite of the dinner was undoubtedly the wagu dumplings, they were rich but well balanced. The octopus appetizer was over charred, the burnt taste was the top note, making it bitter. Sadly, our mains were also charred/burnt. The steak for the steak frites, we asked for medium well, but was really charred, again taking away from the taste. The branzino skin was burnt and the capers that came with it so charred to the point of being dry, charcoal dust balls. The French fries and mashed potatoes were well executed as was the au poivre sauce. Dessert was impressive, the bananas foster can easily serve 3 or 4 people, I loved the brûléed bananas and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, there were some standout dishes but if an appetizer and a dessert overshadow the mains, something is amiss.

While the kitchen delivered a solid meal, the service was so profoundly disappointing that it completely overshadowed the food. The culinary side of things easily earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of items to share, and the highlights included: * The Pizzas: Creative flavor combinations with fresh, high-quality toppings and fantastic crusts. * The Bucatini Pasta: Perfectly cooked and packed with rich flavor. * The Asparagus Appetizer & The Chicken Milanese: Both executed well, flavorful, and cooked to a high standard. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience was uniformly horrible. For a large party, hospitality can make or break the night, and our server missed the mark at every single turn: * Argumentative & Dismissive: He actively argued with our host regarding an appetizer that had been ordered in advance. When asked about vegetarian substitutions for a sold-out pasta dish, he curtly replied, "Pasta with butter is all we can do"--despite the fact that we could clearly see a wide variety of fresh vegetables being used right on their pizzas. * Inattentive: Dirty dishes piled up on our table, and when we politely asked for them to be cleared, he claimed he needed to get help and walked away completely empty-handed. Our drink orders were rarely checked on or refilled. * Rude to Guests: He displayed visible attitude and put-off body language whenever anyone asked a simple question. This peaked when he was outright rude to one of the young women in our party who simply wanted to put her order in a bit early because she had to leave before the rest of the group. It is a real shame because the ingredients and the kitchen's output are genuinely good. However, between the hostile attitude and the lack of basic service standards, we unfortunately won't be rushing back.

Bright, citrusy, slightly spicy, and full of different textures without overpowering the hamachi. Of course, we HAD to order the famous New England Lobster Roll. We opted for the cold version, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations. There was plenty of lobster, and the flavor was fresh and clean without being overly dressed. Definitely one of my favorite lobster rolls from our Boston trip. The Jonah Crab Carbonara was another standout. Spaghetti with crab, corn, chanterelles, pecorino, and preserved lemon made for such an interesting combination. It was rich and comforting, but the preserved lemon helped brighten everything up so it didn't feel too heavy. My partner ordered the Saltie Girl Clam Chowder, made with potatoes, celery, bacon, and fried clams. He could NOT stop talking about it afterward. Out of all the chowders he tried during our trip, this was his favorite. It clearly left an impression because he was still bringing it up later in the trip! Even the warm house-made artisanal bread with sea salt butter deserves a mention. Sometimes bread and butter is just bread and butter...but this was absolutely worth ordering. And because we were in Boston, there was no way we were skipping the freshly shucked oysters. We tried the Unicorn Pink from Damariscotta, Maine, which was medium-large, deep and meaty with a mineral finish. The Rocky Nook from Kingston, Massachusetts was much larger, with a medium brine, silky texture, and buttery-sweet finish. Lastly, the Paine's Creek from Brewster, Massachusetts was smaller with a clean brine and a really nice sweet citrus finish. Trying all three side by side was such a fun way to taste how different each oyster could be. For drinks, we kept things simple with a pint of beer and their Frosé Spritz, which was especially refreshing on a warm and humid afternoon. From start to finish, everything we ordered was delicious. There really wasn't a dish we regretted ordering. If I had to pick the most memorable items, it would be the cold lobster roll for me and the clam chowder for my partner. Those were the dishes we were still talking about afterward. The only downside is that Saltie Girl is clearly very popular, so getting a prime reservation can be difficult. The menu is also on the smaller side, so if you're looking for a massive seafood menu with endless choices, this isn't really that kind of restaurant. But what they do offer feels intentional and very well executed.

Ali was an exceptional server. He paid attention to all the little details that turned a great meal into a memorable one. Without us even asking, he brought extra potatoes and creamed spinach for the table and made everyone feel genuinely cared for. One of our favorite moments was when he noticed the two boys (both 12) tackling the huge bone-in ribeye. He jokingly told them that if they finished it, dessert was on him. They accepted the challenge, cleaned their plates, and Ali happily kept his promise! Not only did he bring the desserts, but he surprised them with an extra dessert, and each dessert plate had "Congratulations!" written in chocolate. Those thoughtful, personal touches are what truly set a restaurant apart. This is exactly how you wow your guests. It's not just about serving outstanding food--it's about creating an experience people will remember. Our party of seven (four adults and three teenagers) spent about $800, and every single dollar felt worth it. The food was phenomenal, but what made the evening unforgettable was the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Ali and the entire Capital Grille team--from the bartenders, bussers, chefs, pastry chefs, hostesses, dishwashers, and everyone working behind the scenes. It takes an entire team to deliver an experience like this, and every one of you should be proud. We can't wait to come back!

Spacious, sophisticated, and an upscale atmosphere. A special thank you goes to our server, Bruno, who was absolutely amazing. He made us feel so welcome right from the start and attended to our table frequently throughout the evening to make sure we were having a great time. He was also very funny and conversational which added to the positive experience. Please send our best regards to Bruno for his exceptional hospitality! The food was sooo good. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the calamari and oysters, which were delicious. For my main course, I had the steak au poivre medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. For sides, we shared the asparagus, truffle fries, and the lobster mac and cheese which was the best mac and cheese any of us have ever had! And I don't even like lobster! Overall, we had a great evening and cannot wait to return. Thank you!
