Their special margarita was good (very sweet) and Manhattan was poor. Think they are good at making drinks from their standard house cocktail menu but don't attempt to order classic cocktails. They have a limited selection of spirits and bartenders are below average. Didn't order wine but didn't see anything interesting on the list. Looked like a wine list was selected by a committee of people from another part of the country and markup was pretty high for standard grocery stores wines available anywhere. Food - Very hit or miss. Prime Rib was good/solid. Calamari was very good. Salad was weak/poor. Mahi Mahi was absolutely terrible ---- fishy, over-cooked surrounded by weird peanut butter sauce with mango? Do not order fish at this restaurant. It was a joke. Wife couldn't eat it so I gave her half of my prime rib. Table next to us ordered mushrooms that looked good. They need to focus their menu and make every item great. Service - OK. Below what I would expect for a nicer restaurant. Main entrees came out a little cold and long after the app. Could tell it have been ready for a while and just not delivered. Shouldn't have to look around for our waiter and have no water for half the night. Ambiance -- Interior is a bit dated but views are amazing. Food and service were awesome. We were celebrating our 21st Anniversary. We were almost treated like royalty. The waitress (I think here name is Yvette) was very attentive considering it was a little bit busy. When we made our reservation,we asked for a window seat to observe Monterey Bay, and were accommodated. Our dinner was delicious. After dinner we were served complimentary desserts, including their famous chocolate lava cake. In the middle section and toward the top of the menu it was printed "Happy 21st Anniversary (see photo). The ambiance was nice. My only small complaint is that they had some rock music in the background that was a little bit loud. Overall, it was a memorable experience AGAIN. Ambiance felt like a country club that had its heyday in the 1990s, but fell a tiny bit from grace. Service was solid, wait staff was super friendly and accommodated all of my allergies. To clarify, despite my terrible experience with Doordash, this was 100% Chart House's fault. Hence the original review for Chart House. These clowns were allowing Dd to take orders for Mother's Day and then canceled an hour before scheduled delivery. There was nothing Dd could do but refund my money. Other, more reputable/better managed restaurants, were not allowing orders they couldn't fulfill. The initial CH respondent very well knows this, so to say they "will look into this" is total garbage. Interestingly, years ago, I bought my parents an anniversary dinner there. After the dinner the Chart House called me to tell my the cc number I gave them didn't work. They kept trying and supposedly it wouldn't work. So, finally I drive 25 min, late at night, walk in to pay in person and they tell me "oh, your credit card number worked" Thanks for your incompetence Chart House. But I should blame myself, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... I'll never be back to this sorry excuse of a restaurant and I recommend others to avoid it as well. My bf and I made a reservation for early Valentines day celebration and we enjoyed a romantic dinner we had here. This was our first time coming here and everything here went super smoothly. The atmosphere is welcoming and warming. The drinks we had was zero-proof mojito mocktail with mixed berries and our dinner specialty we chose for Valentines day promo, we had clam chowder, lobster tails, medium-well cooked steak, and hot chocolate lava cake for dessert. Came here on a recommendation from some family friends. Went there during lunch, and was hoping to try out their steak, but it's only served during dinner. That was the first disappointment. Views are beautiful, and we were able to snag a spot at the window. Service was average, and food was ok. We'd come back for only 2 items they have. The shrimp, avocado stacked appetizer and fried calamari. Though calamari stacked spicy, it wasn't. It was more sweet than anything else. It's so hard to find fried calamari anywhere on a menu in the PNW. My fish taco was mediocre. I think they used cod, and I prefer halibut, only way I knew because the fish was dense. Halibut is more tender and buttery. I asked for some hot sauce, sirachi, freshly slices jalapeños, anything spicy. They didn't have anything. So needless to say it was under seasoned and needed spice. My husbands thinly sliced rib eye sandwich (anything remotely close to trying their steak) with au jus was nothing to rave about neither. The beef lacked flavor, and bread needed to be toasted. It was definitely chewy. Au jus needed flavor as well. It tasted watery beef broth. Our drinks lacked any liquor, it was very light and tasted more so of juices. Still debating if we'd come back. ..... if so hope their steaks are better. read more

I had a reservation yesterday for the Ghoul's Night Out 3 course meal. It was a little disappointing to say the least. I went with my mom and baby and was sat downstairs. It was clear I had an infant with me due to the car seat but they still sat us downstairs which was very inconvenient. There was also NO changing table in the bathroom downstairs. We were also sat next to a VERY LARGE and OBNOXIOUS party. I could tell you all about their conversation the entire time we were there. You would have thought we were eating in a cafeteria instead of a fine dining establishment. The hostess should have used more common sense when seating us. Why would you seat a small party with a baby downstairs next to a large drunken party? The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the valet was very very sweet. Also our waiter and food runner were gems. The food was also tasty but I think other items on their menu were tastier than the speciality set menu for the night. I went looking for mud pie for my birthday lunch. It was surprisingly hard to find post-Covid in the area, but Chart House has it on the menu! We were sat at a window table with stunning views of the valley. My friends tried the seafood and steak and all agreed the food was delicious. My mud pie was absolutely amazing and everything I wanted. Waitress was very friendly and capable. Staff was nice. Just finished one of the worst dining experiences. The atmosphere, which is what you're paying for when you make a reservation at a restaurant with a view like the Chart House, was abhorrent. It was loud beyond belief ... from the other guests ( beyond the restaurants control) to the cooking fans and clanging dishes right next to the tables to the loud music being piped on top of everything else. When I made our reservation, I had specifically asked that, for just these reasons, we be seated in the room to the left of the checkin desk. When we arrived, there was no one being seated there so I didn't want to demand that they open that dining room. When I told the receptionist that this had happen, she put it right back on me...that I should have pushed for this seating. Coconut crunchy shrimp - fantastic! Sauces are equally as good and add a wonderful dimension. 5 stars. Wicked tuna - such a wide array of goodies. Plantains, tuna, seasoned tomatoes. So worth getting. Also 5 stars! French dip - very heavy onion and cheese flavor which overpowered the prime rib. The isolated taste of the meat itself was just OK. Horseradish helped balance things out but overall I was disappointed and probably wouldn't order it again. Clam chowder - watery. Too bad. Decent flavor though. Lobster bisque - wonderful flavor! Very rich. A cup is all you need. The sherry in it gives it an undertone of whiskey. Avocado crab salad - mediocre at best. Would not order again. Honestly? I was really not impressed with my experience. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but food delivery was slow and the meals were underwhelming. We came here for a birthday and called ahead to see if we could bring our own dessert, plates, and serving knife. We were told there would be a $25 fee for just bringing our own dessert. Compare this to Ringside which not only allowed us to bring a dessert for FREE, but they took the cake early, placed it in their refrigerator, and cut the cake up for us serving it with their OWN ice cream at no charge at all. Now that is class! That said they did provide a complimentary, yummy ice cream dessert which was nice of them. I would not return here for a meal anytime soon. The best thing they have going for them is the view and the beautiful aesthetics of the restaurant itself. We love to come here on Special occasions. Some visits are definitely better then others. The last time we were here at the end of February was a really good time. We came for my boyfriends birthday. He ordered the prime rib, which is what he always gets. The cut came out perfectly done with minimal fat. He was very happy! I got there king salmon with veggies and rice. It was amazing. Perfectly cooked and all the flavors in the dish went so well together. A little tip that they don't promote is you get a free small piece of ice cream cake if it's your birthday! So we got that and the molten lava cake for dessert! There desserts are amazing! That's one of the main reasons we like to come here. I came here for my wife's birthday. The food was really good, it was mainly about the service. The server was very nice at the beginning but as we were waiting for our food, it took forever for us to get it, having two little kids that are very hungry at least what we wanted was a status update or a check in why our food was taking so long. We were still okay until that point, because the food can get delayed due to the restaurant being busy, but its the service we experienced. The server hardly ever came to check up on us. After we were done with the food, we had the birthday cake as well as the lava cake we had ordered. As the restaurant view was amazing and it was my wife's birthday, we wanted to take a few pictures, but our server didn't clear any of the finished dishes we had or even bothered to come to our table and check on us. We ended up taking a photo with all the finished plates on the table. All we wanted was a great dinner and a nice photo for us to keep, but due to the horrible experience our lovely surprise birthday dinner got ruined. read more

Even though he had just been at the table next to us and across the room. This is supposed to be a class restaurant. We had a very sad Mother's Day experience here. My 87 year old mother had never been here so I made reservations for four at 7:15 the evening of Mother's Day. We were seated right away and served water with very little ice. We had decided to keep costs down we would not order any other drinks. The meal itself was $72 a person. The server came soon and took our orders. Two had the prime rib one had the NY steak and mom had the halibut. We all ordered chopped salad. It was warm and limp. One of us had the wrong dressing on it but no one came to ask how it was. Our potatoes were Luke warm and the rest was disappointing as well. All of of waters were warm and I asked the server if we could have ice for them. She smiles and walked off. Much later I waved her down and asked again for ice and more water. She said that they didn't have ice on this part of the restaurant but would get it the next time she went to the other side. We all looked at each other thinking that we must not matter that much to her. She did come back and gave two of the four of us glasses of water with ice from her pitcher and walked off without serving the other two! She set the pitcher down and I got up and got it myself and served the other two that were overlooked. Then our dessert's arrived. Two key lime pies and two cheese cake with a minuscule drizzle of strawberry syrup on them. We all tried our desserts and they were warm and more like pudding than pie. We did not eat them We were all upset and so so disappointed in our experience at what is considered an upscale establishment So much for a special Mother's Day for my mother. I believe mom would have been more impressed at a Shari's at one third of the price. My mother has cancer and has been having a hard time going out at all. We threw a surprise birthday dinner for my friend and the staff/service was amazing. We called and made reservations for seven and had a table with an amazing view of the city. Coconut Crunch Shrimp - Talk about extravagant! This dish is served with 3 different dipping sauces - soy sauce, coconut cream sauce and citrus chili sauce (my fave!!) The mango sticky rice was sweet and creamy. I loved how everything blended together! Paneed Chicken - citrus butter was added to the chicken and it really added a zing to the taste. The chicken was served on top of mash potatoes and two asparagus. This place is a bit spendy, but worth every penny! read more

Had a bad experience here. Food and drinks are good but service is terrible in the bar. Bartender was nice but waitress arrogant! If you go, don't eat downstairs and stay away from the evening manager. They both have attitudes and do not care or listen to customers. I called to talk to the head manage but he would not listen to my concerns either because the other two already gave him their opinions. She is always very respectful with how she mentions it and is always understanding that cross contamination can't always be avoided. Awesome experience! Took my husband here for his birthday today. The view was cool and our booth was super comfy. We had the oysters and seared ahi as an appetizer. Both were very delicious! For dinner we had the filet. Both of our steaks were cooked as requested and were yummy, but the shrimp was probably the best cooked shrimp I've had at a restaurant, ever.
