Russian-style restaurant & cuisine. We went on a Sunday night and it was very full and lively. At around 8pm, a young female singer began singing, in both English and Russian. Excellent food and service. The only complaint is that it took a while for the food to come out but it was a busy night so its understandable. read more

Todays my friend birthday came to Chateau de capitaine with the fellas, great food there smoked fish is amazing tuna tartar never tried a salted tomato like the one i had in Chateau. Last Monday we had a family dinner; it was my husband's birthday. We love everything about this restaurant. The décor was very pleasant. The food was very delicious; we ordered Escargots, Crab Cakes, Sesame Tuna, Butterfly Lobster Tail Garlic Sauce. Alik, the owner of restaurant, came to our table and asked us about food. Had a banquet party on Saturday what a wounderful time we had. The food was testy especially tuna tar tar was amazing. From main entrees the food which we loved more was rack of lamb as it was very soft ant juicy. However the music was a little bit loud for us but which was good they have a breaks. Very good food all Russian but some speak English. It's a little bit annoying when the waiters and waitresses ask to serve you food all the time but the food is still good never less. There is a lady at the bathroom giving you rules to use which is a little bit concerning but besides that it is very good for dinner and tastes exceptional. read more

NOT cozy place at all. 8 people on my wife's birthday were joined and NO one like this place. First: Portions are very small. Any salad you have to order 2 or 3 plates because one portion maximum for one maximum two people. For example: Crab salad $18, Lobster salad $22. You can spread on 2-3 small slices of bread. Secondary: Price is very high. Any salad from $16 to $32 Third: Menu says grilled fish however I got fried fish with terrible oil test. It means they used same oil for many dishes and did not change it. Fourth: REMEMBER!!! They charge core fee. You can NOT bring you liquor. My conversation with manager did NOT help. He gave me "discount". I paid $20 for 3 bottles ($10 one bottle). I can not recommend this restaurant. read more

Went to dinner for my brother in laws birthday, party of 3. When ordering drinks they didn't have half of them that were on the menu, top shelf as well. My husband took the last of the conac that was left and not even the one he perfers because they were out of stock. The appetizers were delicious, but I never got to try their fried calamari. After 30 mins have passed that we ordered it, we were told we don't have it sorry, the waiter recommend a seafood salad instead. It was nothing special whatsoever and yet had squid. So they had the squid for the salad but not the fried calamari? ?? With this being a seafood restaurant and all u would expect the mixed seafood plate for a main course to be beyond your expectations, yet another let down. The langustini didn't seem as it was cleansed properly, scallops were too raw. But the branzino was delicious. Now the moment you are always looking foward to... dessert, they were out of all. Overall not satisfied and will mostly likely not come back. The waiter was wonderful though and tried to accommodate as much as he could for these inconveniences read more

The service staff was confused and not prepared. It took 40 minutes to get the first drink, which was a carafe of sake. The waiters did not remember who ordered what when they brought out the entree and when our guests reminded them who ordered what, it turned out the kitchen/wait staff mixed up the orders. If I can give zero rating, I would. Never order delivery from this restaurant. I placed an order and didn't get it until TWO hours later. When I called one hour after placing order, they hadn't even started cooking my order yet. And their attitude was terrible. They kept claiming they received the order late. We were at least a twice or three timea a year "regulars" at the first place on ave U, chateau de alik, for a long time and always liked that place. This place is not too far off. The food was good, the salads and the cold food was easily as good as the other place if not better. The hot food was good but i wouldn't say it was on par with the first place. To be fair, while some of the dishes were the same, some were different. Likely would have been a 5 star review if not for the end where the service and the desserts slightly "fell off". The entire evening there was always someone around for anything needed or to fill up the drinks. But when time came for coffee and tea, that was no longer the case. Had to ask a few times for milk and eventually drank it without sugar/splenda cause none were on the table till later. Desserts also did not compare to the previous place. The place itself is bigger, lighter, and more welcoming with a more spacious dance floor. Overall pretty good and would totally return. read more

Fine dinning in Brooklyn! I have been coming here ever since they first opened. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chef, owner and staff go out of their way to make sure you are having a wonderful dining experience. If you like fish, You must try their turbot - the best I've had! We went with my husband for a date night. Positive: my mojito was very good and lobster salad for delicious. Negative: Food was OK, overpriced, it took a while to bring out the main course, when my husband started eating his lamb chops he discovered a plastic ring from a bottle that was on top of the onion rings. fresh salad, greek salad, avocado salad, all good. shish kebab i tried: chicken, beef, lamb chops. all very good and soft, which is not an easy feat! those lamb chops especially. you can tell they use high quality meats! probably pricier than others, but definitely not ovepriced. i dont know how well they can communicate with non-russian speakers since my group spoke russian. read more

Services was very slow with one dish coming at a time with long intervals between dishes. Dessert was terrible - a choice of 2 stale cakes. The service was terrible. Filet Mignon was over cooked so they took it back and gave us a raw one back then took that back and still over cooked it. They eyeballed the glasses on other tables to see if they were clean and if they thought it was clean they brought it to another table. This "restaurant" is supposed to be Russian yet no one speak either Russian nor English. We had to wait 15 minutes to get menus and it took them over 1 hour to bring out our first cold entree. Me and my family were celebrating my grandmothers birthday, when my grandma asked were we can get drinks they replied with "you can get drinks at a store around here" (there is a bar in the corner of the restaurant). There Russian fruit punch is flavored water. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone who goes out as a family to enjoy a nice dinner! read more

Excellent food excellent service I definitely recommend going there! Great place. The inside is fancy and they have a ton of selection. I tried the octopus- great, the salmon-phenomenal, the lamb ribs- so tasty, and the chicken kabob with risotto rice was excellent. Will be back again soon. read more
