Asada burrito with easy rice and easy beans and no salsa Verde.

For almost a year now I thought this was a different place where all the salsas are too hot to enjoy. Then I thought I'd give it a second chance and whoa, I've never been here! The place is very clean. Service was decent. I'm glad I walked in. That burrito though was love at first bite!

Arrived I saw this place in the making and watched for the arrival. I'm delayed but I made it! The online menu is beautifully detailed. The pleasant faces at entrance matches. The smell, the music, the others conversation and laughter...fun The food was just as good. See pictures

Chatos Tacos was a pleasant surprise. A small taco restaurant with nice presentations and big flavors. Walking in, the tables were stark clean, and so were the floors and ordering counter - always a great first impression! The fish tacos are a must-have with a perfect crispy exterior breading and a flaky moist fish interior. I loved the garnish and sauce on top, giving a fresh flavor while delivering a great subtle amount of spice. I would highly recommend Chatos Tacos to satisfy a taco craving, especially in a place that obviously takes cleanliness very seriously - perfect combination!

Classic menu with fun fusion ones like birria eggrolls and papa loca (loaded baked potato). There's a salsa bar at the back and plenty of table/seatings inside. You order as you walk in and food is served to your table pretty quick. Didn't get to try their elote but must've been pretty good as they sold out by noon.

Food was good and super filling. I ordered the papa loca where you can get your choice of Birria or carne on top of a baked potato. Delicious and definitely can eat for another meal. I knocked down a star because of service. They forgot my order so I had a bunch of people ahead of me get their orders before me.. and then when I went up to ask, then they prepared it in like 5 min... Just keep an eye out to make sure your order is in! Inside is clean and they have a salsa / veggie bar in the back.

THE BEST. Can't wait for their flamingo location! We literally drive 30 mins just to have the best Tacos in town. Staff is really nice and attentive.

I have to say , this little spot was pleasantly surprising. The chicken taco had a really good green salsa and the birria was delicious as well. Great place to stop for a quick bite.

I've been holding off coming to chatos, finally made it in, and this will now be in my rotation of frequent restaurants in the area. The birria is delicious, I loved the elote, and every taco I tried hit the spot, I had the Al pastor, carne, Birria and pollo. The spot is clean and it stays busy.

Fast service and food very fresh! Lots of attention to detail, great salsa bar. Only thing wrong is I don't live closer!

It's Taco... Thursday? Chatos Tacos is a taqueria located in a small but relatively new plaza on the southwest corner of Stephanie and Wigwam. They have the sort of menu familiar for anyone who frequents similar spots around town. I showed up for an early dinner and found both the parking lot and dining room pretty vacant. I had tacos on my mind and got several ($3.50, with one exception from my choices). The portions are in the 3-4 bite range, which was plenty enough to fill me up. The al pastor was the al pa-star, with juicy marinated pork, delicious pineapple, and a mild-medium creamy green salsa served on two tortillas. Carnitas, buche, asada were all good too. The carnitas is packed with moist pork, the buche is soft and flavorful, and the asada is surprisingly tender and carries some light char. The quesabirria ($4.00) was a little salty for me though. That's surprising considering that the consomme ($2.00) is not too salty and is actually drinkable just as a soup. I wasn't feeling the taco and would have preferred skipping it, although it did do the most to make the horchata ($4.50, 24 oz) seem worthwhile. Their recipe is a little sweet for my taste, although I'm sure I can blend some coffee with it tomorrow morning. There isn't much service in their business model, and you can grab your own goodies from the salsa bar, including very juicy lime wedges and thankfully mild tomatillo salsa. There's a mishmash of stuff on TV, including reruns of Kitchen Nightmares (maybe to make these guys look better), but the loud music seemed like all reggaeton beats blasting over the speakers. Chatos has some of the best al pastor tacos I've tasted in a while, so I'll definitely be back when that craving hits. They're a must-try if you live in Henderson for the al pastor alone and mostly do other proteins well too.

Asada taco with guacamole (handmade tortilla)

My sister recommended Chatos right before leaving back to L.A. We stopped and enjoyed an early lunch and let me tell you.... Everything was amazing! Fresh tortillas and the asada was juicy, and full of flavor topped with fresh guacamole and fixings if preffered that way.The chips and pico was also a must as the chips came out hot, thin and crispy! The pico was fresh and tasty. There's a salsa bar with many different salsas, cucumbers, and perfectly sliced carrots. Honestly the best tasting picked carrots and I get them from every taco truck, restaurant, etc. 5 The service was great as we were greeted right away and the food came out really fast. There's plenty of parking and seating inside. The decor is cute and restroom is immaculate. I consider myself a foodie and have eaten at many different Mexican restaurants but Chato's blows them away. Fresh, fresh, fresh and I can appreciate all the extra time making the ingredients by hand. You can taste the difference. Thank you Chatos for the delicious food and service. We will definitely visit you next time we're in the area.

This place has AMAZING food choices...the lady taking our order was very friendly and answered all my questions...the place is very clean and neat (especially the bathrooms which isn't always the case at some places)....i had the gringo taco...I loved the outer rim of cheese and the flavor of the taco was delicious...also had the Papa Loca that was OUT OF THIS WORLD...it was packed with delicious carne asada and cheese and all the toppings...it seriously was delicious...I had to try the birria egg rolls...those were so good I could have eaten a dozen of them...by the time I was leaving the place was packed which I totally understood since it's so damn good...can't wait to go back to maybe try something different or maybe just have the same again

This is not a place where they provide free chips and salsa and we ordered also ordered some for the table along with the guacamole. Everything tasted fresh, maybe a little too much lime in the guacamole though. The place felt like something between a chain Mexican restaurant and Javier's but smaller. There are reasonably priced dishes or you can get a tomahawk steak as well. There seemed to be something for everyone to choose from in different price ranges. At the end of the meal the bill was about $100 for my hubby and me or $200 for the table including tax and tip. A pleasant place with good food that I'd be willing to return to.

We tried to be patient and gave them plenty of time, but when we noticed that multiple parties who were seated AFTER us had already received their meals, we finally asked our waitress if there was an issue with our order. Her response? "It takes longer to cook the steaks and lobster." Okay... but how long exactly? Because people who ordered AFTER us were eating while we were still sitting there waiting. And yes, we noticed the difference because when we were seated, there was no one else in that section. What made the whole situation even more annoying was that every table seated after us was Hispanic/Latino, and they all received their food before we did. We're Polynesian, so at that point, we couldn't help but wonder if we were being treated differently because of how we look. Plot twist: WE'RE MEXICAN TOO. ‍ Whether it was intentional or just terrible service, the experience was unacceptable. If you're going to make customers wait an hour, at least communicate with them instead of leaving them sitting there wondering what the hell is going on. Needless to say, we left hungry and won't be coming back. SMMFH. Aikae pendejo!!!

The prices are comparable with other Mexican restaurants we've visited recently. However, they are not very gracious with their complimentary chips and salsa allowing one small bowl of chips and two very small bowls of salsa and bean dip. Additional is $4.00 and definitely not worth it. We thought it was ridiculous and if they didn't make customers pay for refills or give more to accommodate the entire party, they would be perfect! The food was hot, fresh and very flavorful. The portions were generous. They do have a combination fajitas for two but the combination only consists of 2 meats. We just can't seem to find a restaurant that does combination fajitas the way Coyotes did. But, they were absolutely the best we've had since Coyotes. The consensus was that we will definitely come back to this restaurant.
