Went here on a Wednesday with my fiancé and the food was great as well with the service!!

A restaurant in the Spring Branch area off Gessner that has decent Tex Mex. Came for a celebration with a few friends and had a good experience with our server being pretty knowledgeable on their menu items and bringing our food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is bigger inside than what you would expect from the outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Steaks were served on individual warming ovens and served with generous portions of sides of fresh tortillas and beans / rice. We were too early for happy hour but heard they have good margaritas. Looking forward to a repeat visit.

What a great way to celebrate the New Year at a local Mexican restaurant in the Spring Branch area. Recommended by EM and he was right. This place knocked it out of the park. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is way bigger in the inside than you would think with comfortable booths and very friendly servers[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Their food was served hot and tortillas definitely were housemade to order. The delicious chicken fajita tacos I had were served with salsa and pico. Could not resist extra tortillas .They were that good and I think it helped we came on an early Saturday afternoon since heard this place can get busy with their all day happy hours Monday to Wednesday. The Carne Asada came out hot and steamy on mini hibachi grills to keep your food hot. Impressive presentation. Plenty of parking. Great service .A+. Will be back.

I have recently been working near the restaurant and decided to give it a try. I have to say that hidden gem comes to mind if I was gonna describe this restaurant. I have been there three times now and I have to say I have been impressed and extremely surprised that this place can make food this delicious. It's hidden in a strip center and most people would over look it. They have a full bar that I must say would rival most places. I ordered the seafood and I know it's definitely a risk unless you have been recommended by someone else. But I have to say I was blown away by the taste and tried another seafood option when I went back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a kid friend area where they can color.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is very friendly and the homemade tortillas are amazing. This place is a great place and I'm so so glad I took a chance.

This is the dirty rock that was in the bean they served me and it caused damages to my teeth.

WARNING: I was a long time patron of this restaurant, however I learned that it's a very felty and unsafe place. I was served beans that I never ordered, nor have I ordered before. Their waitress Gabby served me a bowl of dirty, beans which had a huge rock in my bowl and when I bit down on it, my implant broke and my bridge cracked, many of my other teeth were damaged as well. The owner's daughter ran over to me and ask for the rock and she admitted that this has happened many times before, just as her dad the owner admitted. She gave me the owner, her father's cell phone number. He assured me that he would take care of this matter, and to go ahead and get started on getting my teeth fix. After that he never called or answer my calls. In fact he later started switching the blame on the company where he buy the beans. This man is a crook and I will see him in court!

Driving down Gessner, HUNGRY! So I saw this place on the side of the road that looked like it had been there forever (but I have never heard of it) so I figured, what the hell, I'll give it a try and wow sure happy I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing fancy. Just a clean old fashion Tex Mex joint in a Spring Branch strip center serving some great food at reasonable prices[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chips and two types of salsas served as you sit down in a gigantic dining area with an attached bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fresh brewed tea and a great fish dish called Veracruz. Service was quick and pleasant and I'm anxious for my second visit so I can try some other items. I can't believe I haven't been here before!

Second time here and even better than the first time. Their queso flameado with chorizo is a must definitely one of the best ones I've had. We got one of their parrilladas and it was AMAZING. So flavorful and stays hot because of their sizzle set up. We also tried their dessert and it was good I want to definitely try their tres leches next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is perfect for families as it has a playground and they celebrate birthdays![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was amazing and helpful in making choices. She also told us of their different drink specials on different days which I will definitely be back for!

Most of their fish plates have a lemon butter sauce, which is delicious. The Fish Gallo is my favorite since it has grilled jalapeños.

The service is a little slow but the food is really good. This is my husbands favorite place to get Carne Guisada.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It was my first time trying out Tex mex style. It was so busy on a Saturday evening. The chips that were given to each table was incredibly warm and the sauces paired so well. I recommend getting it with red and green sauce on the side and a side of tortillas ro make your own tacos with the eggs, salsa and refried beans. just wow! And that tamale needs its own menu. That tamale was amazing. I would get several orders of that soft white tamale by itself to go. And the service was a 10/10. Service was remarkable and very friendly from the host to the cleaning staff. Food was delicious. I really appreciated the creative flavors that were inspired by authentic Mexican cuisine. Standouts were the guacamole and wagyu carne asada, but everything was fantastic. I loved the Clara cocktail and enjoyed learning about the process to create it. It is clear that there was care and attention behind each menu item. Also, the pace of the food being brought out was evenly paced, which I appreciate, and our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and they sent out a tres leches with a candle on it. Very kind and very delicious dessert. Usually not a big fan of tres leches, but this one was not overwhelmingly soaked in condensed milk, and it has a very fresh tasting peach (seasonal) puree drizzled on top. We will most definitely return.

We ordered the breakfast burrito and the duck carnitas. We added barbacoa to the burrito, and it was honestly the definition of comfort food. It was EXTREMELY greasy though, so I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. If I had been home alone... I probably would've just shoved the whole thing in my mouth. I couldn't not order the duck carnitas. It came on a sope, which is basically my definition of the perfect Mexican brunch. It was really yummy, and I especially loved the salsa that came with it. My only real critique is that the portions felt a little on the smaller side. Either bump them up a bit or add a small side, because I definitely could've eaten a little more.

It's in the Museum District/Montrose area, so pretty accessible and with plenty of parking. We got seated immediately, and there was a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which was great even on a humid day. The menu was pretty extensive with your Tex-Mex classics like fajitas and enchiladas, with a special for every day of the week. This time was a free upgrade to a large fajita, so I went with the chicken fajitas! It came out after about 20 minutes with all of the fixings and this very yummy buttery sauce.
