Every time I've been here has been a 5 star experience. Except today. Today my sister and I were waited on by a guy named Hunter. It was 12:30 and there were only 2 other tables occupied other than us when we came in. He took about 10 minutes after seating to order our drinks. He had a very unenthusiastic attitude. He acted like he honestly didn't want to wait on us at all. He forgot something I had asked for and we had to remind him to bring my refill of water, he took his time asking us if we wanted dessert, even though he was standing at the desk the whole time in view. Honestly, I don't know if he though we were going to tip or what but my sister and I both have had jobs that dealt with tipping and we were prepared to tip well. He made my day out with my sister (who I never get to see) a bummer during our visit today. If I was heartless trust me I wouldn't have tipped him but I did. He needs to be spoken to. As a manager at my job let's just say I wouldn't let him wait tables with that attitude. read more

Mediocre to bad food. Not sure why other than its a new place -but there's always a wait. Prices are good but that's the only upside.

I have been to many Cheddar's but this experience was the worst I have ever had. From the changes to their menu to the fact that my fries were clearly cooked in old oil it was a travesty. My date ordered a burger and it didnt come with a side, which is odd, but instead of paying the nearly 3 dollars for a side we decided to split my side. I ordered their buffalo chicken wrap with a side of fries and request half of the chicken fried, half grilled. An order that I have never had a problem getting at any Cheddars before. When we received our food my fries tasted as if they had been fried in very old oil and were kind of soggy and my buffalo chicken wrap had 3 wraps fried and 1 wrap grilled and the wrap its self tasted abnormal and had a weird rubbery feel to it. I'm confused and concerned on where the grilled portion came from for my wraps. The burger my date ordered, she took 3 bites of and wouldn't eat anymore because, after tasting it myself, I discovered there was no seasoning in the meat. There was the taste of the bacon and the cheese and ground beef. She also didn't enjoy my soggy fries. Our server Mindi was amazing overall but the quality of food has gone down hill. read more

Few times in life have I ever been so disrespected when you call ahead and have your family reserve a table and a section and then the restaurant manager doesn't respect or follow-up I think that this place needs a lot of help when it comes to the management staff of course sometimes you have to be stricks but when you have the entire family and they want to be set together and you can't get service just as everyone else. I havent even ordered food. I hope its all good from now. read more

Slow service. At 6:09 pm, the restaurant was moderately busy, but no wait time to get seated. Floors slick walking and front of restaurant smelled like musty water. Tried to not look to closely to determine cleanliness. Meals were on the light side with a white fish dinner and blackened chicken. Tasty. Would get items again if decided to go back. read more

Called to order carry out and was told it would be 15 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes after placing the order and it was not ready. Was not offered a drink, even water while we waited. We continued to wait, and wait, and wait. A total of 55 minutes after placing the order we finally received our food. Asked for utensils and did not receive. No apology only excuse about a 20top order going in right before our call. Had we known it was going to take that long we would have chosen to go elsewhere, simple honesty and checking before estimating goes a long way. Food was fine but not worth the wait. And at minimum offer an apology and a beverage when you make that large an error! read more

Checked out the new Cheddars in Cool Springs. Lots of cars but no wait. It is noisy but the food was great. Can't beat the chicken tender salad. Good price with plenty to eat. Husband had the philly cheese steak. It was really tasty. Good service as well. read more

Another disappointing chain restaurant. Despite decent, fresh decor and an attentive server there is a lot to be desired here. The potato soup was watered down and tasted the same. There was no rich, creaminess, ton spices or complexity of flavors and lacked a thorough fullness that potato soup needs. Vegetables were again lacking in flavor with huge chunks of florets in the broccoli casserole... come on a do some decent prep work! Macaroni and cheese was lacking in cheese flavor and mashed potatoes should be identified as served with a white gravy. The price was reasonable, but for average at best quality, you get what you pay for! Once again thank you chain restaurant for brutalizing the quality of food! read more

Horrrible past experience. My family and i were ready to order our food and drinks and no server was to be found. Finally we spot 3 staring at us, as we see one mouth they don't want to take our table. So we pretty much sat there and saw them debate over who was going to take the table. I do like this place and since our office is so close we go here weekly, but with the experience I had yesterday, I might stop visiting. This is the reason for the low stars. We got there for lunch and was seated immediately. Only thing is, the waitress took 8 minutes to stop at our table and ask if we wanted something to drink. First, in that 8 minutes, she walked by our table numerous times and never once did she stop and said she'd be right with us; she didn't offer a greeting when approaching the table just 'what do you want to drink'. My friend asked for water with lemon. The drinks came; no lemon. She asked her once again for lemon. Waitress said she'd get some. (nope she didn't). We received our meals. My chicken tender platter was on a plate a little bigger than a salad plate! The tenders were stacked on another since the fries took most of the plate. I had nowhere on the plate to cut my tenders. We stopped the waitress for my friend to ask for lemon (for the 3rd time) and for me to get ranch dressing which I asked for when I placed the order and I never got it. The waitress brings the lemon, the ranch dressing in a plastic to go cup (WHAT??) and our check. Serve me with real plates; don't put the dressing in a to-go cup when I am eating in your restaurant! Also, to have the check at our table before 1) you ask us how the meal is 2) we haven't even taken a bite of our food is tacky! What if we wanted dessert? When I see the check that quick it shows me that the waitress 'is done' with us and doesn't have to concentrate on serving us anymore. This was by far the worst service I have had at Cheddars and it wasn't worth it. read more

Experience started out bad from the door. Hostess greeted us with 'how many?' NO hello, NO Welcome to Cheddar's, etc. Then took us to a table that had trash all around it on the floor. A manager just so happened to be passing by so I asked if someone could please clean it up which he took care of himself pretty quickly. Our server showed up pretty quickly and took our drink order. We placed our food order and after waiting AT LEAST 30 min for our food, my dish (bourbon glazed pork chops) which automatically comes with mashed potatoes came without them. When we inquired about them the server goes and checks and says he was informed they are out of them. Ok that would have been fine IF I was informed of this when I ordered the dish or even BEFORE it came to the table but to present the dish basically hoping the guests wouldn't notice is unacceptable. I was done at this point and sent it back not wanting to order anything else..the manager came to table...heard me out and apologized and offered another dish. I ordered the chicken tenders & shrimp which was delicious once it arrived. When the bill arrived the manager had taken off both my original dish and replacement. Before leaving I visited the restroom and oh my goodness it was HORRIBLE! Paper towel and tissue all over the floor and one stall was just GROSS (won't go into detail). In my opinion cleanliness is not on their priority...among other things. read more

I love cheddars and was so excited to finally have one close to home. Best things about this place: you get HUGE portions of food and it is SO CHEAP. I think the most expensive item on the entire menu might be $17 but everything is very affordable and most items come with an additional two side choices. Pro tip: get an order of croissants...they come drizzled with honey and they're delicious. read more

If you are looking to work at chedders management is horrible!! Disrespectful and condescending attitudes from April the manager. Did not appreciate being yelled at by her and awfully rude customers. 1 star for Decorated nicely & 1 star for the food being pretty tasty but the service was terrible all around. Initial greet at the door was frantic. Server was very unengaged, didn't prebus, didn't explain anything, didn't answer my questions bc he didn't know the answers & didn't offer to find out. The staff said they don't do anything for birthdays which is lame. Biggest disappointment was that it took well over an hour to get our food after ordering. My kids were falling asleep at the table. Items were forgotten about, drinks were empty, I was charged for extra items that the menu said was included in my meal. Over a 2 hour dining experience for 2 meals bc of the lack of service. They did give us a free dessert though but I thought that should have been offered for my daughters birthday anyway. Probably won't be returning here anytime soon. read more

Since it was a new restaurant, seven of us waited 45 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was somewhat too casual which caused him to appear as professional. The worst part was that five of us who had chicken got sick the next day( vomiting and diarrhea). Only two people who had salmon were okay. I don't think we are going back there again. read more

So I called to see what the hours were. After the phone rang about 30 times an obviously very busy young lady answered and told me they opened at 10:30 AM. So we pulled into the parking lot at 10:35 AM, and the door was still locked. So I called again. This time a lady tells me she's in the office and doesn't have a clue what's going on out on the main floor. But said she would send somebody out to unlock the door. So I waited a couple minutes and then drove away after no one came to unlock the door. I know this is a new restaurant with "help wanted" signs all over the parking lot which certainly does not inspire confidence. They need to get there you-know-what together. I think our server's lack of service ruined our experience. He was forgetful & brought wrong drink refills. My husband ordered the Spansagna (spaghetti lasagna.) Bad! After one bite he set it at the end of the table & waited for our server so he could order a burger. Server NEVER came by to check on us. Everyone at table was done eating by the time he came by. His response to hearing he didn't like his meal, "Sorry, do you want your check now?" Wow! We even had to tell him to take it off the check & he was taken back that we even said that. Food was awesome, the monte crisco was sweet and thick. The drinks were great (pina colada was very well done) and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the hostesses. They were not very good at solving seating requests or delivering on what they said they were going to do. I would not go back with a party over 4 again but I would go back on date night or with one other couple. read more

We are so disappointed tonight with our cheddars food. My husband and I both got food poisoning this evening and called a manager to let them know what we ate. the manager told us that there's no way it could've been the food because food poisoning doesn't begin until 24 hours later and was very rude. Went to dinner on a Sunday night. Greeted immediately and Ryan was our server. Very polite, prompt and good table touches. Menu has great variety at modest prices. Order Chips and Queso and get free refills on chips and salsa. Adding house salad to any entree at $2.99 is a great value. Good draft beer selection. We will be back. read more

BEWARE THE COUNTRY FRIED STEAK Ate here tonight with my wife and adult son. Have eaten here many times over the past year and I usually get their combo of chicken tenders and grilled shrimp which I think is pretty good day in and day out from my experience. Tonight I decided to stray from my comfort zone and get the country fried steak. What a mistake on my part !!!!!!! When my plate arrived the first thing I noticed was that my Texas toast was missing...no wait a minute....I soon discovered it was underneath the country fired steak and was wet with the liquid from my green beans. Poor. Now for the real problem which is the country fried steak itself. It was very heavily breaded with moisture trapped between the breading and the meat patty. Thick breading is really not my thing so I was able to easily remove it from the small meat patty within. The meat appeared to be what I would call a minute steak....it had a lot of gristle like it had not been run through a meat tenderizing machine like we used at grocery store where I worked when I was a college student in the 60's. I only ordered the country fried steak so I could compare it to what they serve at Dalts in Nashville which I previously thought was only okay. I now know Cheddar's version is the inferior one by a wide margin !!!!!! read more

Worst service of all time. The waiter did not listen to my order and got my whole entire meal wrong. I literally walked out of the restaurant with an empty stomach because I did not eat. And when I asked for the supervisor she came and didn't even apologize and they had to audacity to charge me for my entire meal. read more

Great restaurant with good variety on the menu. I ordered the philly steak sandwich which arrived steaming hot and delicious. My only complaint about the sandwich was the excessive oil used to sauté the peppers and onions that then left puddles of oil on the plate. Hubby ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and was delighted with spiciness and ate every bite. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Hopefully the next philly sandwich won't be so oily. read more

Can't give any stars because we could not get served. No greeting, was seated by a bored millennial and abandoned. Furtive looks by servers who then quickly looked away, only one who made eye contact was the lady bussing tables and she didn't speak English. We waited over 15 minutes, had wait staff walk right past us ( with me trying to get attention ) and nothing. All in all, a horrible experience. read more

Very horrible experience. I have been almost a daily customer sense cheddars has open at this location. Very close to my job so it's easy to eat and get back to work. I've noticed over the past several months that they can not keep help and changed mangers a few times as well. Me and some friends was at the bar in cheddars tonight eating dinner and having a few drinks we only had 2 drinks a piece and was going to get one more round before we left and the waitress was I recall Dana? Gave us our bill and said we was cut off from drinks and said we could only have food that they have a limit 4 drinks per customer. Which we only had two. Sense we have been regular customers from the opening, we ask to please speak with a manger and the waitress got ill with us so we ask the manger could he show us a copy of of there policy stating that and he couldn't show us and said it was five. So this was a horrible experience and the waitress needs to learn to be a little more personable with the customers and not so straight and blunt to the point. I have worked in the public for many years and have been successful with getting to know customers on more of a friend level and it keeps customers calling for more business. Waitresses like this will only push away customers. Sorry us two Georgia Guys have brought a lot of business over there time span. We will no longer be back and spread our experience with everyone we know. read more
