Cheddar's food is good, although a bit industrial in the sense that you can find it at every other chain. I like the box on the table that allows you to order and pay. I am not a fan of the games and advertisements that run constantly. The staff was friendly and I would have appreciated a refill on my drink (hot day). Tried the Cheddars which is right near us and we were pleasantly surprised! Saw a lot of bad reviews but my son and I thought let's try it. We were seated right away and the server came over to take our drink order. We said it was out first time there and she said let me bring you out some of our honey butter croissants with your drinks. While we were perusing the menu out came the drinks these yummy croissants! Our server was very helpful when we asked about different items and what she recommended based on what we liked. She was spot on. The onion rings came out fast and were great, lightly battered and crisp not greasy or coated with tons of breading like most places. Our entrees followed right on time and choices of comfort food did not disappoint. We each received several refills on drinks without even having to ask , one which was from the manager who was out on the floor and checking with customers. The place was clean and decorated for the holidays. Yes it's a franchise with certain items that you expect on the menu- but there were some you don't always see. As a side note-I did use the ladies room and it was clean. We did use table check out which was convenient. I saw someone left a review stating they were annoyed by the games and ads but seriously- just turn it around, you don't have to look at ! LOL. Well, it's been about nine months since we last dined here. We thought it was time past enough to work out the kinks. Sadly, my family and I arrived and stood at the host stand-alone, with no one to greet us. We saw an older lady at the bar cleaning menus; however, there was no comment about please wait or anything. We stood there for about five mins until another group came in. Once the host got to the stand, she began complaining about how it was her first time in the day to clean those.... again, there was no greeting or anything, just complaints about her tasks. After telling her five of us, we made our way to our table; maybe out of 50 tables, all but 10 were empty, so we had the whole place open to spread out. However, dirty dishes were all over the place on every table. We were squeezed into the indoor patio area on opposite the place from the bar, with five or six other tables full and very loud. Sara, our server, was kind but overworked, with many tables in her area. Luckily we ordered drinks and meals in one round, as we thought it would be a while until she got back. a full 10 mins to get a drink from the bar. Came here on a Monday night an hour and half before close and was a little worried we wouldn't get the best service due to the time, but I was so wrong! Abby is freaking awesome! She was nice and friendly, made some great recommendations and made sure we were in and out without sacrificing the foods quality. My chicken and mushrooms was hot and flavorful, the portion was great for the price. I have no major complaints. While waiting for our entrees two employees were cleaning the table next to us and one cleaned the whole table with a napkin that was the size of a baby's hand. So we finally got our entrees after waiting for a while and thought between already what was served the entrees couldn't have been close to our standards. The Caesar salad came with pasta mixed in which I've never been served that at any restaurant, which the salad was less then ok and dressing was definitely not homemade. I had a lot of authentic Caesar salads before and this one I'd rate a 3 out of 10, the dressing was shipped from a warehouse like all of their less then mediocre food and we all know nobody wants mediocre especially when the bill was $70 total. They served two sides with my entree, green beans and mashed potatoes the Green beans were absolutely disgusting, mushy and watered down, and the mashed potatoes were dry, bland and firm. The chicken was less then decent, nothing special at all with a plain taste. no creativity or passion put into any of this food at all. The classic burger my Gf ordered was cooked well done and it was over cooked to be a rubber tire with a leather texture, let alone when the food was served there were no utensils to eat with. The reason we gave this restaurant a try was because she wanted a burger, which it looked and tasted like they grabbed it out from the freezer with no quality beef and was not specially perfected. Let alone she ate 1/4 of the burger The waitress asked to have it wrapped up for her, but she refused because she was disgusted. After the meal, we opted out on dessert because of the horrible very low quality food that was served. I didnt even want to pay the bill but the food was already in my stomach because I was hungry and into it too deep once the appetizer arrived. We should have known upon arrival there were very minimal cars there and not busy on a Friday night.. I highly DO NOT recommend, and we will not have this restaurant on our go to list. I've had Applebees and Chilis before and by far better. Cheddars is the worst food and experience I've had likely in this past 20 years. After I got a $70 bill, I felt like I got ripped off and concluded they owe me for our time being there to show people actually go their to eat. If I can give it a half star I would. When I drive that way again I will not let my peripheral vision capture seeing the sign Cheddars "Scrath Kitchen" as It was very disappointing. read more

First time stopping in and the service was quick and friendly. The croissants were just pure magic! They were so light and fluffy and like melt n your mouth--I am just amazed. I probably could have sat and ate those all day. They said the first round was on house so you can get additional but you will be charged. For my actual meal-I was there at lunch and did the pick two. I got the house salad and buffalo wrap and to my surprise the buffalo wrap came with fries on top of the wrap and salad. The salads came out first then then the sandwiches. The wrap was literally like a full meal. The fries were good and the wrap was okay. The sauce was kind of thin and there were pickles in the wrap. I really like the food at Cheddar's! So many delicious options on the menu to choose from. My family has eaten at this restaurant for years, and we have never had a bad experience here. The restaurant itself is clean, the staff is nice, and the service is quick. The food is so good! When we ate there today for dinner we had the spinach dip to start along with those amazing honey butter croissants. Some of us got chicken pot pies (YUM), one order of the chicken tenders (these are amazing), the key west chicken and shrimp meal, and an order of chicken Alfredo to go. We were all really pleased with the food, and my only complaint is that the side order of green beans was really a smaller portion than I expected, and we also asked for 2 croissants with our order to go and those were left out of the meal. We ate with another couple so that means there was more food to share. There wait wasn't too long, but because of the wait staff shortage, service was a bit slow. Not a problem for us since that gave us more time to visit. We started with the yummy Coconut shrimp - so tasty. I guess the accompanying painkiller sauce was something else. I enjoyed the shrimp just fine without it. Dinners included grilled salmon, a couple of steaks, and a rib and steak combo. Everyone enjoyed their food which had been cooked as ordered. They refuse to hire any servers and as a result there is always a wait even though almost all the tables are empty. The last time, we came a 1:45 in the afternoon. Only 3 tables of diners. So first I will say - the food was excellent. The monte crisco and the painkiller were bith amazing. But sitting in the bar was a MASSIVE mistake. First, the young girl working behind the bar was practically screaming everything she said. We learned her name was Sara, because the manager had to tell her that a customer had left because the girl was "freaking out". Mu husband even questioned whether she was drunk. And while we there, another person got up and left from inattention and slow service from her. Then when ordering, my husband specifically asked that his salad be brought out first, before the meal. When everything came out at the same time, the waitresses response (different girl) was "Well I was handling other tables". Umm... isn't that your job? It would have been so easy to just write it down... salad first. Instead of an apology, we just got an excuse. While we will be back for the good food, we definitely will never sit in the bar again. Always something that causes a problem! Family wanted to get together and have a celebration so I suggested a different place and even warned my family about the quality of service here. We called ahead of time to tell them we had a party of 18 and as long as we can be close together in the same area we would be fine. Got there after church to our surprise they hadn't even begun to setup for us! 1hr and 30 min later we got brought to an area and told to sit just for us to realize we where missing seats, we asked and they stated they heard 12 when we made sure we where heard about having 18. We then had to wait another 30 min to wait for a family that had finished to get their stuff and go. My father in law wasn't expecting to wait this long and ended up having to go to work. We finally sat just for us to realize how sticky and dirty the table was after they told us that they had cleaned the table. After they came back and cleaned the table again the proper way we then sat and waited another 10 minutes for drinks to come food was obviously skimped over since they had to push the food out we also had to wait for refills for drinks and maybe got a cup worth the entire time. At least the food was decent and we soon left. Will not be going back unless I don't have a choice! read more

Ate here tonight and firstly the place was empty - (while other places are full - tells its own story!) secondly the person who greeted us and walked us to our table was honestly with a face like thunder and an attitude to match. No smile just rude glares at us all and my kids and made us all feel awkward. My dads food was ok but not amazing. Kids standard kids fare. My order came out with the wrong meal - when the right meal was delivered the lemon pepper chicken was like rubber and so disgusting it made me feel sick. I had to send it back - by this time after two meal exchanges it was too late to get another meal so I shared my daughters chicken tenders.
